It's very odd listening to a person learning to speak while also trying to convey information.
To think that she overdosed on multiple drugs in a rehab is worrying. Tragic loss.
That’s because the rehabilitation industry has zero regulation, or oversight due to the fact that there’s no rehabilitation protocols for recovery agreed by the medical community and medicine/science as a whole. It’s a for profit industry that has extremely predatory practices. “Treatment” varies from center to center and they are self regulated and do their own reporting and oversight. With the opioid epidemic it’s a very profitable business and people will pay tens of thousands about what they’re insurance companies will cover. If we agree that addiction is a disease, we need to have board certified medical protocols in place to treat it, just like cancer, lupus, or MS. I think that most people are unaware of this fact and make no mistake, the rehabilitation centers offer you no guarantees of success, with the price tags and the relapse rates, and just how little licensing is required in the US, people are getting rich off addiction and the suffering of others.

You only bring drugs into rehab with you if you aren't serious about quitting. Usually people who do this are there because they got a last shot ultimatum from somebody that's had it with the insanity and dysfunction. "Rehab or disappear. Lose my #. Do not come over. I. Am. DONE." (

She's only a "victim' of drug addiction if someone tied her up and forced her to take them or prescribed them by a doctor. Other than that she was unfortunately a victim of her own choices. It is still sad. In school we were warned repeatedly of the dangers of drugs. But like so many young people (myself included) we most want what we are told that we can't have and when you get around your peers you want to fit in. It would be hard to resist around those Hollywood people who as a whole aren't known for their sober and clean lifestyles. I remember a quote I read about Marilyn Monroe, when Joe DiMaggio was asked why he wouldn't let any of her Hollywood friends attend the funeral, his reply was "If it weren't for her so called "Hollywood Friends" she'd still be alive." It is indeed sad.

It's to cope with all the horrible things they have to do "behind the scenes" to make it in Hollywood.
Some times it's because drugs are so readily available and some people don't want to be the oddball.
Some people do drugs because of their pre Hollywood past. They may have come from a dysfunctional family like Lindsay Logan.
I'm sure there isn't just one reason that fits everyone one who's on drugs in Hollywood.
