I’m a hairdresser from Germany and I learned to mix up the bleach multiple times (20g per application) freshly, that gives you an more even lift since the bleach is oxidizing and it’s loosing its power with the time … also I prefer starting in the back of the head since the hair underneath is always a little darker. I don’t want to act like I’m the ultimate haha but I hope this may help ✨🤍
That’s exactly what I’m being taught in school rn, we only mix one scoop at a time. It’s great, I usually end up only need one to two scoop for highlight and root touch ups, it’s perfect.
I appreciate the conversation about how terrible periods are! 😂 mine has always been super inconsistent, sometimes going months without and sometimes having multiple in one month. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to know for sure when it’ll come. 😅
Alot of girls have undiagnosed fibroids and endometriosis it really makes periods heavy and more painful than they should be. Don't suffer thru it tho, (speaking from experience here) definitely speak to your/a gyno abt it asap-they have new meds and therapies available that can help immensely ❤
As someone who thought mine were normal, when they were worsening to the point of extreme anemia, I feel like more people should talk about their periods.
No girl, everyone is validated no matter what type of period they have. I have PCOS and adenomyosis, and was like your friends and bled all the time. After 20 yrs of suffering, I was finally able to get a hysterectomy in 2019. I feel you, never wanted kids, my dog is my daughter. I got sidetracked lol I’ve been up all night, and my dog left me to go to bed, and my wife is visiting her parents…so yeah, lonely lol
I have PMDD and PCOS so I definitely understand the cramps. And the "wtf, I don't need this shit I don't want kids!" you're definitely not alone in that. *shakes fist at patriarchy*
I take continuous birth control to stop my periods, it’s been a game changer. I have wanted a hysterectomy since my first period!! I’m in my 40’s now and so grateful my dr suggested this, even though I’m not using it as birth control. Just to stop bleeding every month.
It was really refreshing hearing you talk about cramps - mine are super bad on the first day and also drains my energy 🤦♀️ also that toner worked so well! Can’t wait for the rainbow hair! 🌈
So looking forward to the rainbow! And, honestly, I'm loving seeing this journey because it will make the end result even more satisfying. On nother note, my IUD has saved me from 10 years of periods, and for that I am so grateful😅
For me, the Mirena IUD did! I think for some people, it just makes it a lot lighter or less frequent, but some people have the same result as me! Your husband sounds amazing 🩶
I also have the Mirena IUD and haven't had a period in about 6 years. Every once and awhile I'll have a tiny bit of spotting but that's it. My sister has had the Mirena IUD for maybe 5 years but she still gets her period but it's much lighter.
I had awful periods starting at 13. I was on the depo shot and arm implant from age 20 to 36 when I finally had a hysterectomy. I didn't/ don't want kids either and it took finding a ob/gyn that really listened to me and trusted I knew what I wanted to do it. That was 4 years ago now, it's been an adjustment not being on hormones but much better all around. 🖤🖤🖤
if you don’t mind me asking, how did you like your arm implant compared to the Depo shot? I am on Depo now but considering switching, so I like hearing from other people.
I had a horrible cycle, months on end, then skip a month. I highly recommend ( and wish someone suggested this earlier) talking to your doc about the Mirena IUD. Haven’t had a cramp since my thirties. Also, antibiotics don’t mess up, nor do you have to do much. No periods is awesome. You are a hair goddess! Thank you for sharing!
I have the same pain awful, I take gaba 500 mg two weeks prior and it is a blessing it makes it bearable. And with age gets worse if you don’t take care of it. I’m the same don’t skip periods either, you can do a hormonal panel and check if everything is within the normal range! We are girls don’t worry we know the struggle feel better 🙏🏻🌹
Someone might have mentioned this already, but i find letting these toners develop a bit in the bowl before applying gives me a waayyy more even result!!
I can definitely appreciate the rant about the cycles... I'm 51 with no kids and I agree, it's a lot to go thru monthly for 'nothing' 😉 A friend of mine who's 33 said she's got one of the birth control implants and doesn't have a period so maybe look into that if you're interested Love the results! I think the pink looks brighter somehow after, maybe it's just the treatment that made your hair so shiny, idk Love u! 💞🌈
Eye makeup is beautiful. I love how you usually match it to what color your hair is. Today you did a beautiful smokey look and that works so well with this toning job! Thank you so much as usual! I've been wanting to try these toners!!!
i love hearing you talking about anything, especially about periods when im on mine ❤️ we share the same thoughts and pain and its nice to hear to speak out loud what i think all the time! my favourite time of the week is when you upload. thank you so much for what you do ❤️
Really needed this today. Just heard my friends dog just had 4 stillborn puppies and were really sad for them but this cheered me up. It looks really even just a little bit yellow like u said. Cant wait for Fridayyyyyy 🌈
I highly recommend continuous birth control. I only have a period like once every 6 months. My obgyn recommended it for endometriosis (extremely painful periods). You definitely shouldn't be in so much pain you're crying! It's not normal! 💕 Please talk to a gynecologist about your pain
Hope your cramps ease up! It does suck & I relate to it ruining so much of my life. I have endometriosis so for as long as i can remember I've had heavy bleeding & terrible cramps. Even after 4 surgeries it isn't much better. You're very lucky to have a partner that cares & understands. He sounds like such a cool dude! My endo/chronic illnesses scare off all dudes so i just suffer alone, but watching videos like yours on RUclips helps distract me. Can't wait to see the next rainbow look! 🌈🖤
I really messed up and used 20V the platinum ice, and it turned my hair grey and ended up having to bleach it out....Always read the directions unlike me.
I have PCOS so my cramps were so bad I’d throw up from the pain unless I took some seriously heavy meds. It also caused me to not be able to get pregnant so having my periods was a double whammy. I was finally diagnosed with it a few years ago and was able to get an IUD which has helped immensely! It’s also helping with my menopause stuff too so that’s an added bonus lol I hope your cramps don’t get too bad this time!
I used to get MAJOR cramps, I don't know how the sorcery works but the hello disk has totally changed my life, and I haven't bought pads or tampons since, and you only have to deal with it every 12 hours. Honestly, life changer, I owe it all to period nirvana you tube channel!
This worked so well! The yellow is so muted now! Thank you for trying these and letting us know how gentle they are on the scalp. As for period pain, I've had my fair share and sometimes you just need someone to talk it out with. We are "with you", sweetie! 💜
Ugg, my cramps are awful, but especially every few months. It's to the point that I don't want to move, use a heating pad, and take an edible. Make sure to hydrate, it does help. Since we're not having kids, I'm seriously considering having my uterus removed, especially with the problems my mom had. Can't wait for menopause too! 😢 I'm also enjoying the rain. In Michigan (not sure where you moved to) it hadn't rained for 18 days and we really needed it. Thanks for being so open. I WFH, my husband works 24 hour shifts, and we share a vehicle, so I get super lonely, especially with my family not being close enough to easily visit.
One thing I have noticed abt these toners is that since they are only 10 vol they don’t develop that quickly and it’s better to let them sit and develop slightly in the bowl before applying them so it’s a bit more even, that’s what happened when I did it
I’m just curious if you’ve ever tried the k18 mist prior to treatment. It was life changing for me when I went platinum. My hair never felt better afterwards ❤
After almost 30 years of painful endometriosis and fibromas, I totally feel your pain. I'm welcoming an early menopause in my 40's (I also didn't have kids). I wish you a lot of cuddles and warm patches on your belly if that helps. Hugs!
15:34 I wish they still offered the ion Reconstructor protein treatment you’re referring to here in the big big bottle with the pump… all they offer now are packets (at least in my area, and I can’t find it on their website either). Still great stuff, just a little inconvenient having to get a bunch of packets.
I hate make up in general so I’ll never try it out for myself but those eyes!! Absolutely love it ❤ Hair looks great too! I would love to see how these toners do on level 9 or 8 even if it would give some effect on the 9. Knowing it won’t work is far different for my mind than seeing how it works or doesn’t. But with all the misuse (or misunderstanding of the product) available of people bleaching their hair, I feel like it would be a useful video for this channel. Though I definitely understand if you would think it’s just a waste of product. I’m just new in this world of dyeing, lightening or toning hair
I recommend reading "You can have a better period"- packed with useful info (backed up by science) on how to reduce the symptoms. Personally I now get the contraceptive injection which stops my period altogether, but I know thats not for everyone so definitely check the book out!
The Mirena IUD (birth control) was an absolute game changer for me. I used to have the worst heaviest periods. And the worst cramps. I got the iud and I don’t have periods anymore. It’s incredible. And it last 8 years. Get an IUD I’m telling you it’s a miracle.
my periods were always really bad. But then i started taking my birth control continuously, i only have a period ever 3 months now, my cramps hurt less and i dont bleed as heavily as i used to.
i used to have such bad cramps that i felt actually sick. id be sweating and get chills and be nauseous because the pain was so bad. but ever since getting an IUD my periods and cramps are so minimal. i haven’t worn a pad/tampon in years, all i get is spotting every once in a while. and i’ll get cramps randomly sometimes but it’s nowhere near how bad it used to be. changed my life fr.
Although doing shaved head designs could've been a look😅 I'm so glad that did not happen lol. PUMPED for rainbow hair Aislinn to make her return!!! Also curious to see which brand you go with, can't wait❤
Girl, I get severe back pain before, during, and after my period. No cramps, but the pain is horrible. I never want to have children, so it just feels pointless!!!!! I feel you 😅
My cycle used to be pretty consistent, but I’d get pretty bad period cramps, even WORSE ovulation cramps, and I have PMDD. So I got on birth control and honestly it changed my life!! It also helps that I can skip my period if I want to 🤭, just by starting the new pack of pills instead of going on the withdrawal week.
Thankfully my doc allows me to get mine every 4 months(with the help of bc) because of my excessive bleeding and cramping. I’m almost 44 and am starting the “change” I’m perimenopausal. I don’t know what is worse!
Had a partial hysterectomy at 42, no more periods for me.. I use to get really bad pains like 2 weeks before i got my period delt with that for over 10yrs.. I use to use birth control to control it but that made my depression worse.. Much better now that I no longer have a period.
My favorite demi toner is to mix 200p and 200v from lanza. It turns so purple/silver I love it cause after a week it's the perfect blonde. It's intense for a demi
I have PCOS and I have a 4 year old girl and my hubby wants more. As much as I love my daughter, I do advise or warn those who do want kids to think twice on that. So I totally don't blame you for not wanting kids. They're... definitely not for everyone. But yes, girl, my periods are TORTURE! Sometimes I will fall asleep in a hot shower just to alleviate some of the pain or sit on the toilet for 20 minutes solid as its less painful to let the blood just flow out like that. However, its the opposite with me being the tough one still getting stuff done while hubby is in bed whimpering from a cold. Lol
I’ve been using T18 3 years and looking for a more bright silvery toner/getting bored want to try new ones. Omg I always tone right after bleaching my roots and the pain can be so intense at times exactly like you noted with T18 so maybe I’ll try the T16 this month😭😭😭 🔥
i have level 4/5 natural hair (so, pretty dark). I always do my roots with the Ion Creme Bleach with 30 volume (even though, technically, the directions say that you should not exceed 20 vol for the scalp) but if i only used 20 then my roots would have been as yellow as yours. Then i tone with Guy Tang's demi toner in the shade 10SS: Silver Smoke...and voila! perfect silver hair ^__^
Mine were crying in the corner every single time. I had PTOS and endometriosis. Had a partial hysterectomy at 33. It was like living a whole new life. Still have my ovaries so no hormone meds, but no more cramps or periods
My menstrual cramps and my ovulation cramps both ruin at least 3 days out the month each, but I do have endometriosis. My period started today so I feel you on that pain right now 😢
I believe the blonde me developer is oil based. It definitely affects the lighteners lift as I’ve had it do that in the past with some lighteners so I wonder if that’s what may have happened to you 🧐
Do you find that your most painful periods are the heaviest ones? I noticed that. Some months I would have a three-day pain free period and the next one would be a painful to the point of wanting to die and bleed for nine days straight, super plus tampons and two night time periods along the gusset of my underwear, wearing pants, shorts and pj bottoms and STILL having to wake and change once or maybe twice in the night. Then I had an ablation and was told I would never bleed again. I do, but it’s back to three days and no pain
My mom had a procedure called a uterine ablation, she doesn’t get periods anymore and it’s super easy compared to to a full hysterectomy. Maybe something you could look into?
@AkaAislinn it shouldn't. If you put one sticker on the inside of each hip bone and put it on the lowest level where you can barely feel it it still makes a giant difference and once it doesn't bother you, turn it up. 15 years working as a medical provider I can say so many ob/gyn and pain med drs reccomend it. Even a barely there current makes it hard for the uterus to cramp since muscles can't process multiple "electrical" signals to contract at once
my period sucks for the first day- like i am curled up in a ball in a corner somewhere. the cramps are so constant & HORRID and then i wake up my second day and its just that normal crampy feeling. you arent alone babes
So, ever since I got off birth control in 2019, I have had horrible cramps and PMS. Like atm I just had 2 weeks of cramping and PMS before I started yesterday, and still cramp. I have had my period since I was 11, and I hate it and was told by specialists that I needed to stop birth control to stop/lightening my periods. I have looked into having my uterus and tubes removed and keeping my ovaries, but I’m 29, and I have a genetic syndrome than makes pregnancy risky and can kill me, so there’s good reason to do it. Hoping I can find a GYN willing to do it, and save up because insurance likely won’t cover it.
I do my hair at home and I will definitely be incorporating this into my routine!
I appreciate the conversation about how terrible periods are! 😂 mine has always been super inconsistent, sometimes going months without and sometimes having multiple in one month. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to know for sure when it’ll come. 😅
Damn :/ I’m sorry 😭🖤
Have you gotten hormone/thyroid testing? I was the same way and it can give you lots of answers
Same here! When I am on it, it is so much bad pain.

@@katiesaravia4285they're to blame for women not having the absolute right to have a hysterectomy.

girl honestly, are you reading my mind ??? I was planing on buying that toner and then you release this video. Anyways I love you very much
Awe yay! I really liked it! 🖤 I hope it works well for you 😊
The Pearl Gray in these is also REALLY pretty. I did it all over & it made my ends look iridescent.
Girl don’t feel bad about talking about your period. Talking about things normalizes them. 🙌🙌🙌🙌💚💚💚
Lol
🤞🏻 hoping this turned out well for you!
That full moon yesterday chemically synced with everything i didnt need f$cked with... Great 😩
I'm so here for menstrual cycle chat! We need to normalize that stuff!
Try a heating pad with the pain I tried that when I was younger and it helped I'm pre menopausal right now so I don't have the cramps right
I’ve been using T18 3 years and looking for a more bright silvery toner/getting bored want to try new ones. Omg I always tone right after bleaching my roots and the pain can be so intense at times exactly like you noted with T18 so maybe I’ll try the T16 this month😭😭😭 🔥
I love Aphogee.
Where is the rainbow hair video?! Lol I’ve been dying to see it! 🌈
This Friday!! 🥰🌈🖤
YAYYYY❤ SO excited
No, totally did come for that 😅 sitting on my butt with the same pain.
i have level 4/5 natural hair (so, pretty dark).
I did the yeeterus a decade ago and don't miss it at all.
Omg wohoo I get to see this the day. Before my bday ❤❤
Off-topic but your makeup in this video looks incredible. I would love a makeup tutorial one day if you felt up to it. ❤
Mine were crying in the corner every single time. I had PTOS and endometriosis. Had a partial hysterectomy at 33. It was like living a whole new life. Still have my ovaries so no hormone meds, but no more cramps or periods
I am so happy you finally got relief and are doing better 🖤
My menstrual cramps and my ovulation cramps both ruin at least 3 days out the month each, but I do have endometriosis. My period started today so I feel you on that pain right now 😢
I have the nexplanon birth control implant and I haven’t had a period since 2015. I’m 38 and do not want kids and hated taking the pill or the shot.
Put conditioner or oil on your ends before you process the roots so it won’t absorb your bleach or toner while processing or washing out bleach.
Yes!! Cramping is so weird to me. One month I’ll be dying and the next month I’ll barely have any.
FYI the cheap TENS units do magical things for cramps
I bought one before! They freak me out 😂😂
@AkaAislinn it shouldn't.
If your serious about not having kids, Ablation with a Tuble. I had to get one, now no bleeding and no cramps. It's amazing!!!!!😊
Same, with me and I have pcod.
my period sucks for the first day- like i am curled up in a ball in a corner somewhere. the cramps are so constant & HORRID and then i wake up my second day and its just that normal crampy feeling. you arent alone babes
