- THAI AIP CHICKEN SOUP RECIPE - Perfect for freezer cooking or to make for dinner tonight.
See how to make an AIP Thai Chicken soup that you can either freeze for later (without doing ANY cooking beforehand - just dump the stuff into a bag and freeze) or eat tonight for dinner. Compliant for the Autoimmune Protocol and Paleo - nightshade-free!
I give instructions on how to cook it on the stove, in a slow cooker, or in an Instant Pot - from thawed or even from FROZEN. Yes!! You can take these out as an emergency meal if you haven't planned ahead and still have a delicious, nutritious AIP-compliant dinner within a half hour.
I've been living lately off of these freezer meals because they are so easy to make when my puppy is taking up ALL my time 😩

you all prolly dont give a damn but does someone know of a method to get back into an instagram account??
I was dumb forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Eddie Zachariah Instablaster ;)
Made this tonight, unbelievably delicious! I added a few asparagus spears, 1 parsnip chopped up and portobello mushrooms to make it more filling.
Oooh, good idea to add the asparagus too, I hadn't thought of that. Glad you enjoyed it!
I can’t wait to make this, Michele!! Great job❣️
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it!
I'm on AIP paleo also. I make that soup myself and I add kelp noodles. Which by the way the package says they don't freeze.as a substitute because your boys can eat a lot use yam noodles there paleo and AIP also just sweet potato noodles and they freeze wonderfully.it just makes the soup go a lot further and make you a lot Fuller with a few more calories to go on. Great job you have good videos, hashimoto myself.God bless you and your family keep up the good work! Amen
I should have added the yam noodle sweet potato noodle also called glass noodle. I buy those the regular grocery store.
@@aprilflorio8880 good idea to add those noodles! They could definitely be a fun addition if you want more bulk.
I am going on AIP 100% this time in a month's time to hopefully help remove more symptoms of my GPA disease. I will definitely be trying this soup as I love thai food. Yum!
Good luck with your AIP! I you find relief quickly.
Fantastic.

That bag holder is genius!
isn't it? I love it
Michele Spring Amazon?
@@deendrew36 yeah - these are the ones I have: amzn.to/35NAFQU
Ooo yes more please 💕🥰💕
Loved it - would love to see more like this.
They also have lemongrass powder I found it in the seasonings aisle
oh interesting! I'll have to seek that out.
Sooooo helpful~~thank you!
I will be making this! I think I will add thin sliced mushrooms when I put the coconut milk in. Our favorite thai place has a soup like this but it has sliced peppers and jalapeño. I have been missing it. Where did you get that neat little bag holder thingy? I want one! And no puppy?! What’s up with that?
Ha, that was pretty much the ONLY time the puppy was sleeping so I took the opportunity to film! Little stinker's been getting into EVERYTHING lately. And I got the bag holder thing on Amazon. So helpful for freezer cooking like this (this is my affiliate link for the ones I got: amzn.to/2MPQ624 ).
I just used an empty pot and it worked great.
Yay!!
:-)
I like this.Do you cook it in the instant pot for 5 minuted on low , medium , or high? Thank you.Do you get coconut aminos in the soy sauce section of the grocery store?
I believe it's high on the IP? I forget exactly - it's whatever it's typically set to at the factory when you just choose a manual time, which I think is high. I've never tinkered with that. And yes, coconut aminos should be right next to the soy sauce! Enjoy!
If I'm allergic to fish/seafood, what do you recommend in place of the fish sauce?
You don't need to add the sauce. Maybe add a tiny bit more salt, but the fish sauce is really there to give it that umami flavor. It's not necessary though.
@@MicheleSpring thanks. I'm going to make this weekend (have a friend coming to stay who is also AIP 😊)
@@SharlzG oh fun! Enjoy your time with your friend!!
So is this a version of Tom Ka Gai??
can you use lemongrass powder or essential oils in place of the leaves?
I suppose so? Haha! I'm not absolutely sure of the amounts or anything, but I believe someone said they used a drop or two of the essential oil and it went well.
You should thaw in cold running water not a hot bath
How do you make a soup stock
There are a few different ways, but basically you take chicken bones (i like to use the bones left over from a roast chicken), add some onion pieces (or the papers and outer layers from the outside of onions), a carrot or two (or the tops of carrots that you can't use), and a few stalks of celery (or the leafy tops and core that you can't use), put into a slow cooker or Instant Pot. Add 1-2 bay leaves, a dash of apple cider vinegar, and then fill to the max line with water. If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 12-24 hours, and if using an Instant Pot, cook on high for 90 minutes and let the pressure release naturally. You can google for more fancy recipes (ones that use herbs, garlic, etc) but I just typically use this.
Does this recipe use mint or basil? On your webpage it says mint then in the recipe it says basil… 😂 (apologies for not watching the full video, I have no spoons left to watch and listen) #chronicillnesslife
Oh huh, I didn't realize I said mint somewhere... But really you could use either, depending on your preference. I like basil - but mint could work too!
@@MicheleSpring Thanks - haha! Also, can confirm this meal was 12/10! So goooood!
U just need some kelp noodles
You certainly could add those. I avoid them since iodine doesn't do good things for my Hashimoto's (like gives me instant flare, haha) so I avoid it as much as possible, but if you're good with it then definitely add it!
I thought citrus was off limits.
nope, you can eat as much citrus as you want!
@@MicheleSpring sweet! Homemade lemonade, here I come!! Thank you
One more question, a friend bought me a bottle of liquid chlorophyll. They claim it will help me keep my condition under control. I would assume liquid chlorophyl is safe to drink. Would I be correct in my assumption?
@@zecarioca4689 you know, I'm not really sure at all about that. I know some of the things like that - spirulina, aloe, etc - can cause immune system activity, which isn't so great for trying to calm your immune system down from attacking your tissue. Great for healthy people, but not so great for those of us with autoimmune conditions. I'm not sure about chlorophyll unfortunately though - sorry!
