    Supplies:
    -Beads (I used 6mm Australian Jasper Beads for the green/blue bracelet & beads that were a little bigger than 4mm on the pink-ish bracelet)
    -Collapsible eye needles
    -Bead weaving/stringing thread
    -Leather cord or faux leather cord (I think the cord was 1.5 or 2mm thick)
    -Button
    -Super glue (optional)
    Disclaimer: We did not receive anything for free. We are not being paid to make this video. This is our honest opinion.

    It took me about 20 hours to figure out how to make this. I wish I would of seen your video sooner. Thank you for taking the time and effort to do this. I work at a jewelry store and made it with precious stones. You had some really helpful techniques.

    Very clearly explained! I loved how you took your time, how you made sure via repeated steps that we understand, and how you cut out the unnecessary things to keep the video shorter. WELL DONE! My favorite tutorial, ever.

    You are just so sweet and the way you explain how to make this is so simple to understand. I'm making one into a choker with pink crystals for my ex sister-in-law who has breast cancer. Thank you for making that possible for me to make one!

    Great job , thank you! Just made 2 from beads that I had! Didn't have a clip board so I used a small plastic cutting board & wire heavy chip clips! No stringing thread, used heavy duty sewing thread ,doubled up (I couldn't break it)! I had such fun & can't wait to go buy the proper supplies! Don't be afraid to improvize guys! Have fun!

    Great tutorial for a beginner! I understood it perfectly! I like how you used a clip board instead of those expensive bead boards! Please- forget all the negative! This was really great!

    Excellent video. I am not a crafts person at all but I have several expensive wrap bracelets that were gifted on me. I love them and would love to try and make my own. Thank you for taking the time to explain this process in detail. I will use your video step by step after I gather my supplies. Good job explaining it to folks who have no idea about crafts, like me. I call that excellent teaching!

    Hi! I learned how to make this bracelet from this very video about two years ago and I've decided to revisit this project. After much searching, I finally found your video again and I'm sooo grateful. Your technique is the closest I've found to the real thing, you explain the steps so clearly and your camera is in the perfect position to capture all the detail. Thank you many times over.

    The bead-weaving thread & bead needles are also less likely to snag or tangle; regular sewing thread can be a pain with smaller heishi beads, and regular sewing needles only work with large-hole beads.

    Great video! Thanks for sharing. I do have a couple of suggestions - If you use tapestry needle instead of flexible ones, you will be able to work more quickly I would think??? Also, instead of threading the needle in the manner in which you did, try folding the thread in half and put both ends through the eye of the needle. You can anchor the end by using the thread in a loop fashion. You can then adjust the length of your thread and won't have the hassle of the really long thread! Good luck.

  • @1105pitbull
    @1105pitbull 8 лет назад +6

    Why not start on the button end, tie a knot and bead from there? You tie off the other end and you don't need any glue unless you want to glue the thread. The thread can even be caught up in the end knots.

    I use ordinary buttons, some metallic flats with a bow under the button or one made with coconut wood flat with two holes and the bracelets looks great..., any button, the only thing you have to consider is that the holes be big enough for the leather or the thread you use...

    Great tutorial! You made it so easy to explain. I've tried making these before using a foam type loom. However, I was using a straight metal beading needle. Nightmare. I am going to use the same needle you used. I have a ton of them I just never thought about it. Thank you!

    thank you so much for making this video. you made it very easy to understand and to watch. i made my first one and it turned out great. the only thing i need to do differently is cut more thread--i wanted to make it long to wrap but only cut about 4 ft of thread so it's just a single wrap. thanks again!!

    @phatnat0776 My thread isn't stainless steel. The kind I have is called bead weaving and stringing thread and I think the brand is Beadalon and it also says Dandyline. But there are probably other brands that have bead stringing thread.

  • @DIYwithDanni
    @DIYwithDanni  13 лет назад

    @staytrue72xo hmm...I'm not exactly sure. I know some people have used sewing thread before and it worked, but maybe it doesn't work as well as beading/stringing thread. Maybe it depends also on the size of the beads? The beads sometimes get out of place on the bracelets I made, but they arn't loose though.

    This is the easiest tutorial I have seen yet. Good job. Tell me, what kind of button do I need for the closure? Would a regular button with a shank on the back (the part that sticks out) work, or do I need to find a special button closure? I was at Hobby Lobby today, and tried to explain what I needed the button for, and they really didn't have a special button closure clasp for beading jewelry. Any help would be appreciated-thanks!

    if you can't understand this vid or can't get over the condescending tone, Barnes and Noble carries the Klutz brand bead loom kit. it's 25 dollars and comes with a bead loom, needles, thread, beads, patterns, and a book of instructions so simple and straightforward that my 8-year-old niece can follow. there aren't any 'um's or hands in the way. all the stuff that she recommends in the beginning is going to come to more than $25.

    @darkartsninja when you thread the needle, you will pull the thread through quite always until the thread is at its center point. Then take each end of the thread and put them together. Then your thread will be doubled!
