Originally, as a Counsellor, I used CBT but I knew, intuitively, there had to be something more. I believe we're energetic beings and in need of therapeutic interventions with higher resonance, if you will. Through a series of arrangements I met a wonderful EFT coach and my life changed forever, so much so, I became an EFT practitioner myself. Many changes occurred using EFT. Panic attacks [for 18 years] - gone. Continuous, low grade anxiety - gone. Cravings - gone. Self confidence - up. Self esteem - up. Self love and forgiveness - off the radar! Connection with my authentic self, powerful and strong. Dr Stapleton, many thanks for being a pioneer in this field. It's not easy but I salute your courage and dedication to new modalities that are not only safer, healthier and non invasive, they work!!

She explained EFT/tapping beautifully. I have used it to get rid of many issues and improve many things in my life: insomnia, stress, public speaking, anxieties, back pain, constipation (yes!), self-acceptance, self-confidence, etc… and it works great.

I just rewatched this and am impressed with the clarity of her presentation. EFT is odd looking, but more effective to quickly release stress, pain, phobias, trauma and more. I have a free website with free videos if you want to see more of this. I so appreciate her research to explain what is happening in these quick interventions.

Thank you so much for this. As an EFT Practitioner, working with clients for over 10 years, it's so refreshing to hear more about the science behind why this works! I've seen it work in every session (& in myself) but understanding more of the research is fantastic. Thank you for making EFT more appealing to a wider audience.

I have been using Tapping ( EFT) for about a year. Tapping helped me with a sleeping issue. I would be able to sleep 4-5 and then wake up to go to the bathroom and not be able to sleep again. I used a sleeping tapping script and changed a few words. I used the script for two weeks and I was able to wake up during the night and then sleep again.. I also had nights when I could sleep threw the night and not wake up at all. I even had a night I slept for 9 hours without waking up during the nigh. I have had tapping help me with so many things and Tap every day... David Anderson

This is a brilliant, and simple explanation; loaded with science and your research genius. This is another important presentation in our march to bringing EFT mainstream, where it belongs. EFT exactly fulfills the requirements to change the way difficult memories get stored and thus desensitize their impact in our lives. Thank you so much leading so much important research to validate what we EFT clinicians and EFT educators practice.

I wonder if now, nearly three years later, the GPs in Australia are aware of the fact that the "gold standard" techniques like CBT are not always the most appropriate, but the only ones available for a Medicare rebate...
For clients like mine (those with chronic pain issues) the prolonged therapy with a psychologist often adds to the trauma. However, many of them are unable to afford anything else, as the rebate is only available for one type of therapy...

it was Dr Roger Callahan who was a great humanitarian .. even Gary Craig would say that . .and I think it is absolutely TRAGIC that people think it came from him and hardly anyone knows Dr Callahan .. his technique was called TFT but Gary changed it because he thought it was too complicated and called it EFT>

      Hi,
I am an Occupational Therapist in clinical practice for 28 years.. I have been successfully using EFT in my practice since 2013. I ALWAYS reference Roger and his discovery with Mary and her phobia of water. That is the foundation of my explanation of EFT's origins. I have taught this in public education classes for thousands of people over the years. I agree that being true to the timeline of this history is important.
