Cb has has 21bhp and 30nm of torque at 3000rpm. And what's so fancy about putting emergency lights on always? Also, i have not visited ladakh yet but taken highness to extremely rough hilly conditions in South India, and what I realised is you need to find the sweet spot in it's rpm meter to not have power loss. Now I can't tell you the exact figure but it should be around 3000-4000rpm. only things I aspect from it is a bit low end grunt and a better headlight. At last you probably get less power from cb at high altitude because it's an air cooled engine and triumph has a liquid cooled engine.

      1. My bike goes to right side when hands off.
      2. Headlight is useless. You can’t see anything on road on highways in night.
      3. There is a heating… sometimes I look to engine while driving just to check whether there is a fire 🔥😄
      4. There is error in speedometer, mileage calculator and km range.
      5. Yes foot rest pedal for both driver and pillion is small.
But apart from these…bike is amazing to ride 👍👌

Speed 400 mai major problem engine heat issue hai...City ride k liye nhi hai yeh bike .. highway k liye theek hai cb350 rs ya highness is best choice... allrounder hai is segment ki...aur sab se bdi baat bike lene se phele yeh hai ki Honda ka service centre grow kar rhe all country...but speed 400 abhi abhi lunch huye hai
Service centre bhi nhi hai iske
Spares parts ki problem ....aur sapse bdi baat yeh hai ki koi bhi bike lene ho too us k lunch k 1 saal k baad he Leni chahiye kyuki itane time mai bike ki kami pesiya sab pta lag jati hai.....Highness is best in segment.

I like each and everything about triumph but the size is not according to my body type, I am 6’2 with 89 kg weight. My first preference was honda. But recently came across this amazing machine triumph 400. Price is great compared to the honda it costs around ₹2.53L (in my location) ex showroom whereas triumph is ₹2.33L and the power that it delivers attracted me the most. I am okay with the vibration and mileage. Sadly it’s not made for me due to its compact size.

@@travelbite one more question ( a long one). The 400x I felt has good torque in low and mid. Didn't have to change the gears much in city traffic . Good tractibility.
But, I couldn't explore it beyond 80kmph. Do you feel there are more vibrations beyond 110 kmph as the torque band narrows down?
Also is it necessary to change /modify the dual seats of the 400x for touring?
I look to ride between 600 to 700kms a day as I drive much more.
      I have two choices.
      1) Among normal bikes to replace my dominar 400 and xpulse rally edition with barely 4300 kms with the latter on the odo with lots of accessories (so may be at a loss when i sell the xpulse). In the place of these two buy the 400x as it will be a good tourer + decent on rough roads (not looking for total offroads ). So a bridge between my domi and xpulse. In the Long run it will save me fuel, maintenance and parking charges of one more bike.
2 ) keep the xpulse and buy a completely touring focused bike which like the meteor 650.
For me riding modes and electronics is not of much significance.
What I would look for is
1 good hardware (engine, gearbox and suspension)
2 comfort + reliability + low end tractibilty
      3 USB port.
      4 basic abs.
5 good headlights would be a blessing...but most tourers always end up with aux lights as most company spec ones are not sufficient.
Im a guy who rarely crosses 100 110 kmph unless absolutely safe and a good visibility arc upfront on both sides. Meteor 650 may be too powerful for the job I feel. I'm also open to retro bikes which have decent touring ability and comfort. A friend suggested the new Honda cb350 (classic one) and no frills and much of electronics. Ktms for me a total no. Just don't like the rawness.
      What would you do?

I was following up with showroom guys but they intentionally desalted the delivery. And one more thing the bike was already ridden more than 100 kms. I doubt they have given me used bike. Yesterday I drove the bike 750kms Mumbai to my village in Amravati district in a day. It gave me mileage of 22-24kmpl . I drove it at a speed of 100-130kmph, mostly cruised at 120.

    • @AdityaLoshali1
      @AdityaLoshali1 11 месяцев назад +2

@@travelbite so I measured today, the lowest parts of the bike are the exhaust pipe at the lower bend and the catalytic converter box. And when the bike is upright, the ground clearance of these lowest parts is 7 inches, which converts to about 178 mm. So, even after accounting for possible slight error on my end, it should easily be atleast 170mm and maybe even more.
I'm happy, it's pretty great and nice surprise. Also ordered a aluminium bash plate, then I'll take this on bad roads!!

I am inclined towards cd 350 because i saw your video where triumph scram stalls after pressing clutch and agar problems aaye then visiting triumph everytime is going to be very difficult and honda on the other hand is very cooperative in mumbai whereas triumph no one bothers to even answer the call for inquiry. @shekharsahoo220 tough question, when I bought CB350 I wanted a smooth performing bike more power was not the requirement. No. 5th gear, on flat roads need atleast 75kmph. But why do you want to use 5th gear on that speed?
Till 75kmph, on 4th gear you will be in eco mode.
I don't get this craze of wanting to ride at slow speed in top gear.
