Regarding fuel bar... It's same in Ronin... It's not software issue, it's basically start counting fuel deficit after 4-5l consumption... In Ronin it starts calculating after 3L feul consumption... Due to this the bars don't come down till 100 -120 km depending on your fuel efficiency...

I went to the showroom yesterday to get my bike checked as there is major stalling issue on 3rd gear, while on way to showroom i travelled 25 kms and bike engine stalled 5-6 times. I informed the technician about issue and he took it for a spin and came back with an answer that everything is fine, which i was expecting already. I also told him that engine has become noiser which wasn't the case earlier. He took the bike and did some clutch adjustment and suprisingly the issue is resolved till now. Also i spoke to the security gaurd during my free time there, as per him lots of people are complaining about this issue on daily basis.😂

I am currently having meteor 350 which i mainly use for commuting to office 15km in city traffic.
meteor 350 is great. its con is getting vibrations past 85kmph.
Hence checking if it is worth upgrading to scrambler 400x for daily commute and occasional weekend touring.

I think service centre thing is a deal breaker. Coz im facing this issue for the last 3 years. I also have bike which has very less service centres. If something happens to the bike in uneven places on your trip like remote areas where tou don’t even get the network, then it’s a headache. No roadside mechanic will even touch the bike or try to repair coz they don’t know about the bike. And if they try to repair then they will end up spoiling it more. I experienced it many times

I faced the engine stall issue on my dominar also on 2nd 3rd gear and I guess its because of bajaj being the manufacturer, somewhere triumph 400 is inherited from dominar along with the issue... its dangerous if engine suddenly stops on highways or on higher speeds where you have other vehicles alongside you ... engine stall is one major thing to consider while buying triumph 400

Buy speed if you do riding on normal roads, trust me speed can also handle off road . Speed has better brakes, better pickup, better maneuvarability, better flicks, less vibration as it does not have studded tyres, speed also has better gearbox.
Scrambler is for those who do 70 percent off road or lives in hilly areas.
SPEED IS A COMPLETE PERFECT ROADSTER but Scrambler is an imperfect raw adventurer.
GO FOR SPEED and u will save 45 thousands too

@yogeshmathpati1472 There will be issues for any newly launched bikes. The re should be a solution for these issues in the near future. I bought the bike keeping this in mind. The same issues might not be there for all. Some have no issues at all. If you have no hurry, then you can wait for a few more months until all common issues are addressed. But in my opinion, this is still the best bike in its category.

@@ANR1122as a person who was in a similar confusion i'll point out a few things which led to my decision to choose himalayan.
Triumph is a premium brand, even if the cost of the bike is low, the service and spares will be more premium and costlier than RE.
If you have pillion re is the more comfortable option.
If your daily commute is in bumper to bumper traffic himalayan might be hard to filter through traffic, that doesn't mean you can't manage.
Re has invested so much in r&d and this bike is going to be their face in the international market. I trust that kind of commitment rather than the cheapest of the triumph which is manufactured by bajaj.

If you are experienced, you can manage. If you are new rider, you need some time to adjust.

I am also 165cm height. It’s very easy to ride. I tested U turns, slow ride and with pillion. Fantastic bike for city and short trips.

I am 5.6. Recently bought scrambler, It takes time to adjust to scrambler especially on u turns and heavy traffic. Speed is much more practical and safe for short riders. Recommend you to use shoes with thick sole to compensate for height difference if you choose scrambler.
Speed is also more practical for short pillion riders.
In my opinion in your case choose scrambler only if you are serious about 200km+ long rides.
