This is a recipe inspired by the Maid Rite Sandwich Shoppe in Greenville Ohio. Made-Rite Burger Clone.
3 LB's of hamburger
1 and a 1/2 cups of water
1 beef bouillon cube
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 table spoon of dried onion
1 table spoon of of Worcestershire
1 Table spoon of soy sauce
2 table spoons of brown sugar
2 table spoons of apple cider vinegar

Seriously though, as a kid raised on a farm in Iowa, when ever my dad took his pigs to the sale barn he always took me to the little diner there for Maid-Rites.
I scarfed them down so fast, so tasty.

Our authentic Maud rite sandwiches did not come with ketchup , in fact, ketchup wasn't even in the store

I lived in Cedar Rapids and would eat at the Marion Iowa Maid Rite all the time and get them with cheese & mustard and a cold Root Beer!! That Root Beer is the best I’ve ever had anywhere!

Worked in Greenville years ago. Everytime I stopped by my office there Id have to have Maid Rite lunch. My employees knew when I came to visit, we would be eating Maid Rites....Love those things!!!

Maid-Rite in my hometown of Springfield, IL, is home to America's 1st drive-up window. Still going 102 years after opening in 1921! Great rootbeer, but never ketchup on the sandwich.

Imagine if you put that Maid-Rite in a hot dog bun, laid 3-4 jalapenos, the same amount of pepper jack cheese crossways to keep the jalapenos from falling off, and maybe added some peco on top of that. And maybe some Ghost Pepper sauce and/or Habanero sauce in the meat when cooking or on top afterward. Now there's some Good Eatin & a Hot Peco Dog.
Mine has 7 spices, fresh garlic, Worcestershire, vinegar, broth, and butter. Simmered for 2 hours.

A REAL MAIDRITE only uses 32oz coke in it. I used to watch them at the Muscatine Iowa restutant

Actually I do. Sadly I don’t think they make that special seasoning anymore but the one ingredient still available is root beer syrup. Not a can of root beer but actual concentrated syrup. It can be purchased at sams club
You forgot the yellow mustard , and you can also put cabbage and carrots. MAID RIGHTS is an iowa thing. Didn't know they made it to ohio

Thanks for the recipe man... just made these! I lived in Greenville for a year back in the 90's, and used to get lunch at Maid-rite like once a week, mostly because it was super cheap lol. Back then the slogan was... spoken in a dumbfuck meth-head ohio accent..."It's not made right, unless it's a maid-rite, right?" Just the people I met there anyway.
Put a slice of white American cheese on top of that ! You can thank me later!
