I remember going on this ride back when the park was called Camp Snoopy. Ah, the memories.
Yeah, I used to go on this ride back in the 90's. Looking at it now it's kinda saddening to see the nickelodeon crap all around. Really ruins it for me.
CKMSaxophone omg me too lmfao
Camp Snoopy was mine and my sister's childhood! Our dad used to take us there all the time! I honestly threw a slight fit when I heard about the change.
OMG I thought it was the only person who remembered camp snoopy
CKMSaxophone same i hate that they changed it tbh
I swear to god the paul bunyan part scared the living crap out of me the bull was right on my face I could feel it but it was still fun
me too
beebhoe omg same 😂
SAME
beebhoe BAHAHHA SAME
I know right when I went on it I was like ah hell no ps I love your profile pic
I can't stress this enough:
THIS IS NOT BASED OFF OF SPLASH MOUNTAIN.
It seems more like the log ride at knotts
@@janetplanet4595 thats bcause this mall park used to be Knott's Camp Snoopy
@@JohnDoe-rx8xi Yeah, Cedar Fair (who owns and runs Knott's), used to run Nick Universe as Knott's Camp Snoopy for a while.
The animatronics on this ride always scared the shit out of me. Still do... I would always close my eyes until we were out of the mountain part.
Anya Naylor same
Anya Naylor I went on super bowl day and Paul Bunyan had a Vikings shirt on
Ikr? The giant bull though....that was like the scariest part for me
Anya Naylor same but now they don’t scare me
Ya same😂
when i was on this ride i thought i entered hell
Crilly Lord lmfao i'm laughing
Steel Krakon Lord X84 🤣😭
oh you wanna know what hell is? GO ON WILD THING ON VALLEY FAIR, THEN YOUL SEE WHAT HELL IS.
Your typical person it isn’t that scary it’s a really fun ride
THATS WHAT I THOUGHT😭😭😭😂😂😂😂
I love how us Minnesotans don’t find it amazing that there is a park in a mall
I know right!!
That's facts
Only way to have it open all year
Yeah? Come to Edmonton ours is way bigger and we have a water park too
Me as a Californian find this awesome.
I remember I used to be scared of this ride.
Erin Blake It's sad, I went on that ride yesterday, and the bull doesn't spray anymore! :(
+Erin Elizabeth it still does
Erin Elizabeth is it fun
LizzyTheEpicness me to but now I'm not
Same
This is by far the most fun ride in Nickelodeon Universe
It's a leftover from when the park was Camp Snoopy and had more of a northwoods theme. Camp Snoopy was also essentially a spinoff of Knott's Berry Farm and the Paul Bunyan ride is very much in the spirit of that park's Timber Mountain Log Ride. They were actually considering ripping out the Paul Bunyan stuff and replacing it with that crappy Barnyard show, but they ended up changing their minds, probably from fan protest.
Nick is love nick is life
This might be one of my favorite log flumes. First time I went there I remember thinking at 3:30 that it was very disorienting to come out right next to a McDonalds.
I went on this for my 9th birthday in 1995. This was my favorite ride. Bring back Camp Snoopy!!
Chris DeLuca snoopy is now a cedar fair thing.
No
This honestly scared me when i went on it. At least the big dude did...
Paul Bunyan?
DillPickleTV Paul Bunyan?😂
Pall bunyan
You thought that animatronic was scary, just prepare yourself for uncanny valley animatronics on the log rode at Knott's Berry Farm.
I took this ride as a little kid and it scared the crap out of me when you got to the part where Babe snorted and Paul Bunyan started talking
I went on a school trip with my entire grade and this ride was my favorite, and when me and my friends were about to go down the big drop a girl walking around the mall prayed for us, me and my friends couldn't stop laughing about it.
U know about the kid who jumped out right before the end?
Besides having an amusement park, a movie theater, chapel, and a freaking aquarium!! Mall of America is every shopping addicts dream. Literally every store your local Mall doesn't have is here.
When I visited the Mall of America years ago, I got an unlimited ride pass and I kept getting on this thing and getting off and then getting back on. haha. That was back when it was still a Snoopy themed park. This brings back good memories and the ride itself is the same as when I rode it. :)
The moment before the last drop is so intense...
me and my friends rode that and we thought “lmao there’s only one drop” until that actual drop
Being a Minnesotan, I live close to the mall of America. A couple years ago and teenager 13/14 died on this ride.
He/she go really scared when he/she was on it and jumped of on the "rocks" up high in the park. Apparently the rocks are very hard plastic and are very steep so the teenager fell from the top of the rocks and died😐😕😔
That happened in 1998.
Izzy L. RIP to them 😥😪
PS it was pretty much Their fault they died...
it happened in 1998 its at the peanuts park
Izzy L. They were a 12 year old Wisconsin boy. That happened in 1998
I heard about that
I just want the log chute ride to open back up again, I miss this ride :(
Me too!
I went on my birthday and it was closed sadly
When it was Camp Snoopy, I adored every ride! The Log Chute is my absolute favorite and forever will be. Also the Ghost Blaster game was phenomenal. So nostalgic.
Oh boy does this bring back memories! When I was a kid every year my parents would take me to Nickelodeon Universe (Camp Snoopy is how I knew it) every year to celebrate my birthday. Aside from the Mighty Axe, this was my favorite ride, id have to go on it like 15 times... Seeing this video brings back all of those memories. Thank You!
I was at MOA with my friend once and she LOVED this ride, wanted to go on it multiple times but I stayed back on the 3rd time lol 😂 scarier than it looks
The only thing i Hate about the ride is that their is no SAFTEY
+nura bile Same! I've been to this place before and never been on this ride but my cousin forces me and I'm so scared to go on it because there's no seat belts 😞
nura bile same here! I'm basically hanging for my life
nura bile you really can't have safety devices like seat belts and restraints on water rides like this. If the boat or vehicle were to ever flip over you would be trapped underwater because of the restraint. That happen with the water ride at Cedar Point call Shoot The Rapids where the same thing happened. The ride is now gone.
+AttractionSpot What about Jurassic Park? It had heavy lap bars.
SpongeSquid 0444 yes it does. Jurassic Park The Ride in theory doesn't need them you won't fall out. But you get people that don't follow rules and could stand up ect and fall out. Since also your sitting across from other people to.
I appreciate the effort to smuggle that camera through that ride. Depending on who's staffing they get real crabby about filming.
woah, an amusement park inside of a mall? omg that's really cool I didn't know that xD
It's awesome. You've gotta come to The Mall Of America in Minnesota and do it sometime.
+MaddieMonster yeah I really want to go! sadly I live in Texas
It is a very fun place! Biggest mall in America! I live near here so I get to go a lot! I'm a bigger fan of Valleyfair which is also in Minnesota.
jackie yo I went there it was so fun
jackie yo one in Canada and America :))
My very first ride I ever took at the MOA, nearly peed myself what with all the water and nervousness, fuckin love this ride.
That drop at the end almost made me fall out of the log! 😂😂😂
flower power ikr
Reminds me of when the dude controlling the drop said “Have fun” I was like “oki doki!” 1 sec later I was screaming like someone died.. and, +, it was at night, like uh, 7 pm.. rip
One of the best parts of this ride is that you actually barley get wet even if your riding front seat
I've always loved how it goes through the food court lol pretty neat. I went on it back when it was camp snoopy and I went on it at nickelodeon universe.
yeah it was pretty good! Better then some I have been on.
This was my favorite part, I would force my dad to ride in the front seat and he would always get Splashed!🤣
The most nostalgic ride for me. Been on it at least once a year since I was 5. Am 27 now.
Yeah no problem and thanks for watching!
One of my favorite rides by far
Same
Just the Nickelodeon of splash mountain
viviana explain hit this is Nickelodeon themed at all
The Minnesota of Splash Mountain actually. The park was known as Camp Snoopy before Nickelodeon bought the licensing rights after Cedar Fair ended its deal with MOA. Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang's creator Charles Schultz is one of Minnesota's more famous celebrities, and the park was not only themed after his characters, but Minnesota itself as well. Thus the Log Chute, Pepsi Rip Saw (before its rebranding), and Moose Mountain Adventure Golf. These were relatively untouched by Nickelodeon upon it's moving in, except for Ripsaw which was renamed the Orange Streak and given a new paint job.
ShadowXloner I’m glad someone said this. Thanks bro. Also, do you or anyone for that matter remember when they had a mural of paul bunyan (which looked like the brawny man) on top of the barn apex roof? I miss the 1990s camp snoopy.
This was posted on my birthday!!!
In that case we share a birthday!
I love this ride !!!
Ahhh! it's my favorite ride of all! :)
I love the log chute :3
i love this ride
I remeber going to down the big thing and getting covered with water yelling THAT WAS NOT NECESSARY and the grown ups who were watching us behind the fence were laughing like they jusy died
One more note; obviously I'm not a growing kid who thinks Nickelodeon Universe is so awesome. So I'm not gonna rip into it too deep. But understand that when I say they ruined it, is because of the sheer excitement and memories of the nostalgia it had when I went and it can NEVER EVER be the same, that is unless for some miraculous reason it reverted back to camp Snoopy. It was so fun. I remember going on the mine ride. The one they had operating was a Indiana Jones themed ride. FRICKIN AWESOME!!!👍👍👍👍
I remember going on this ride with my family, we all screamed at the top of our lungs. And before I did I told my mom I loved her (she didn't go on it)
This is one of the original Camp Snoopy originals and also my favorite ride in the park. It was originally called the Paul Bunyan Log Chute but was simply shortened to Log Chute when the park became Nickelodeon Universe. At one point it was supposed to be replaced by something else based on a sign that hung over it at one point that said Future Site of Back at the Barnyard, but they decided to keep it because it's connection to Minnesota history and popular demand. It would've been cool to have one of these at the new Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream Meadowlands in New Jersey themed to Wild Thronberry's, but I am guessing it doesn't because of how the DreamWorks waterpark is close by. I just hope that if Mall of America decidedly to add a waterpark to the complete or not (which I am starting to doubt based on how construction hasn't even broken ground yet), that won't give them reason to take this down.
Oh my god I love this ride so so SO much
I LOVE that ride!
Ah... I still have the picture from about 7 years ago of my family going down the hill. Now I'm going for my 13th birthday. I went last year for my birthday too. It was so nostalgic going on the rides. My favorite ride is the Orange Streak. My older brother and I rode that over and over again...
That's m little sisters favorite ride. We're going for her birthday this June!
bear inthe big blue
I rode this like 10 years ago, it was lit
Finally there is someone upload it with better quality
Yep
This place looks so much fun!
Always wanted to see this ride thanks love your videos.
love this ride so much
Thanks 😄
This ride is awsome
I love this ride
I love the log ride, it’s literally so fun 😂
This used to be Camp Snoopy, and was the very first log ride I ever went on.
I went on this and they don’t even strap you in
I came here for the song. Classic.
When I was younger, I used to be so scared of the Paul Bunyan animatronic that I absolutely refused to go on the ride by myself lol
This was always my favorite ride at Camp Snoopy, followed by the Ripsaw. It saddened me when they stripped the place of it's Camp Snoopy name, and plastered all that Nickelodeon junk everywhere. Haven't been up in about 5 years.
You are the only person I trust on ride videos. Thanks! NEVER STOP DOING VIDEOS! Only thing is go to jersey shore places
i went there and i loved every single ride and i absolutely loved the spongebob
It feels like your flying on the drop still my fav ride
I remember when it was camp snoopy =,) and I still go here like every week XD
This is a fun ride!
Pretty cool ride
My childhood, the good old days, are gone.... I live so far away from it now... I miss this place...
Favorite ride ever 😤
Went on this ride two days ago and it was awesome!
That paul Bunyan kid scares the crap out of me ❌🧢
This is the best indoor log flume in the world!!
went on the ride in 2014. Had fun time
One of my favorite rides!!! 🥰
Yeah its pretty nice.
Childhood Nostalgia is this attraction
I went on all of the rides for the universe of nick. Got to love mall of America, went on all of them
I've been on this and the lumberjack scared the shit out of me and my sister
ølivia varkados Paul yay
It was super fun
The scary animatronics were actually pretty cool. Only thing that shook me off about this ride is how unsafe it is. Wet rafts and handles, no seatbelts or restraints, just the metal bars on the side for you, but the bars are wet and your hands can barely get a secure grasp on the bar without your hand sliding.
I love going here. It's my favortie theme park and this is definately my favorite ride! I'm soo excited that me and my family are going to minneapolis on August 13!! (Highlight of the trip)!!
That was a fun ride
Inside a shopping mall! Amazing!
The amount of g force that almost made me pass away
Omg I love this ride
Yass I live there so I go their often
i remembered going on this ride before and loved it would be the best ride for me throughout the park idk why
This ride is so scary!! You aren’t strapped down and you only have bars to hold on to. When I was little me and my cousin would go on this all the time, but now I’m terrified of it 😅
This ride is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNNNN
If you haven’t tried it, I recommend doing it! The amazing mechanics, the awesome drops, and the sightseeing is so fun!
Sure, you get a little wet. But not a lot as you think you do. But make sure to bring friends! Going on this ride with strangers makes me feel a bit weird😬
I love that ride
It's closed now favorite ride to this day
On my birthday in December, my 4 friends including me, went on this ride but i sat in the front and i ggot soaked bc there was so much weight on it, my pants, my shoes, my shirt, even my hair was soaked and nobody else, but it is one of my favs
+Leah Evans lol wow sounds like you had fun!
Leah Evans same I was in the front but I am 10
Gamergirl360 Same!!!! I went on there like 20 or more times then ever
I did this when I was there during the beginning of the year when I was there.
The last time I went on this, this place was still *Camp Snoopy!*
The Paul Bunyan part scared the crap outta me when I was 5, but now I always say, "Hey, Paul!" when I pass by.
This ride was there when the mall was first built in 1992, then known as Camp Snoopy. I do miss the Snoopy theming.
The reason for it not being nickelodeon themed is because it was Camp Snoopy before.Since Camp Snoopy was themed after the Peanuts comic and Minnesota wilderness and other stuff related to MN the Log Chute was just one of the Minnesota parts. The rest was taken down when Camp Snoopy was closed and the park was bought by Nickeloadeon. After they had purchased it they made everything orange and themed after it. Its surprising that they havent changed this ride....
I went on this ride all the time it was closed for maintenance all year they finally opened it back up and they fixed the sound too
