This was the perfect video to show my BF the trauma this ride Gave me, I was four and went on this ride with my dad, the one chef animatronic was malfunctioning and the babe and Paul ones scared me enough to cause me to cry I even hide down on the floor of the log and then my dad pulled me up afterwards and then I saw that miner guy and thought he was real but we got closer and I realized he wasn't and scared me more. The ride would've been fun for me as a child if t weren't for those horrifying animatronics
@@RickyVentures it helped a little, but the size of baby and Paul scared me the most plus Paul was having a few issues but me and my BF plan on going there one day together so I can show him just how terrifying it is. P.s. it's very hard to scare me so it makes me happy knowing something this simple scares me.
My poor niece is there now, and just went on this. I had to RUclips it to see how bad it was cause my brother sent me the pic of her crying. She’s so little she felt like she was gonna fall out and now doesn’t want to ride any other rides. I feel so bad :(
what an absolutely incredible log ride!!!!!! its so tragic these things are being removed every where. log jammer at magic mountain was my fav next to knotts log ride. this one was made by the same dude that designed the one at knotts. i can tell for sure...
having worked in amusement parks its likely this is a ride they sacrifice for Staffing issues in the park when they cant' get more staff in and probably also closes in shifts sio thst they can run breaks.
I'm sure it takes work to keep it in good repair. There plans to build a whole water park on the Northside parking lot of the mall. Think that might break ground soon.

This takes me back down memory lane when I was like 9 years old on this log ride
For me it was fun when I was 5, then when I was older it was horrifying.

It's the oldest ride in the park and Nickelodeon declined to retheme it since it's theme is Minnesota history and lore.

I went on it today and when I went to go see the photos I was SCARED, I had my eyes closed. and a 40 foot drop going pretty fast is kinda scary

It's been open lately if they have staff. Seems weekends it usually is open now. Weekdays are hit or miss.
I'm surprised they never installed seatbelts on it. But I'm glad they don't mess with this gem.

@@chimneychap5142 you can't really install Seatbelts on a classic log flume. It's a handelbar and stirrup ride.
