Fairfield NSW is one of the most multicultural places in all of Australia. So I wanted today's Best Cheap Eats Tour to showcase just how diverse the food actually is here! So many people from immigrant upbringings have called Fairfield City home at some stage of their life, and the food you can find here definitely reflects this. We try Balkan/Serbian, South American/Chilean, Iraqi/Assyrian, Filipino and Lao food today! And the last food we try is very interesting!

I was going to feature two more shops to reach the $30 goal but unfortunately it got dark and they closed for the day. These shops were Fairfield Bakery (where you can get HUGE Iraqi flatbreads called khubz tannour for $1 a piece fresh out of the tandoor oven and samoon bread for 60c each) and Al Anwar Sweet & Pastries which sells Iraqi style sweets.
