When that happens in a car you have a shell around you. On a bike it's just you and the environment. Statistics don't lie man, bikes are more dangerous than cars.
I had a stock motor 08 R1 with full exhaust and minor bolt ons that I had set up to drag race and I was always amused that I was the only Yamaha at the drag strip. 750?! That’s crazy. Judging from ET and Trap Speed, a 750 horsepower bike is about even with a 3500 horsepower GT-R (230+ mph and 6.5 to 6.3 seconds). The car needs 4 times more power to keep up.... but it weighs 5 times as much (total weight including driver/rider). Things are about to change rapidly, however. Electric cars are no joke... They can reliably run 8.2 seconds until they run out of battery (Rimac Nevera..... 1900 HP and 8.2 seconds). 7-second electric cars are next..... during the 2020s. The only question is when we are going to see 6-second BEVs.... maybe in the next decade, at the latest.

I’ve rode in a 265hp 1995 Honda Civic, and that had me pinned to my seat, even 700hp in a Honda Civic would be so insane I can’t even put it into words. But a 750hp street bike that weighs no more than 500lbs. Man I seriously cannot even fathem how fast that would be, I mean like well on the level of pro mod fast.

Money is only 1 part of equation. Respect to the handful of incredibly talented people that can put those monsters in the deep 6s@230+mph. And everybody loves a good bike vs car race, am I right?

It’s so crazy to me how this is still an option- think about how much safety equipment is required to run 6-7 seconds in a car .... vs what they are wearing.
