Great video!
Was worried about difficulty of replacing the starter on old and.or donor engine so purchased a new one.
Also appreciate the comment on the knock sensor availability. I spend the money on the starter and am using the old knock-sensor.

Is the knock sensor in the same spot on the 2zz and is it worth replacing while you’re replacing the starter?

Yes it is in the same spot. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If you do decide to replace it, make sure you get a 2zz sensor, it is tuned to a different knock frequency than the 1zz sensor.

Thanks for your reply. My research seems to reveal that the starter for the 1zz and 2zz are identical... true?

They are not identical. They are interchangeable. There are many different variations of the 2zz starter (Celica, Matrix, Corolla) but they all interchange.

You can do from top too much room
