In case you need to hear it, I've been where you're at, maybe not at the exact same point but I know depression and how much of a dick it is and I know that eventually you will be able to feel again, especially when you have a therapists to help you make the mental adaptations that help you shut down those dumb intrusive thoughts. Although the parents don't have to necessarily be in on it or be absent, it would be pretty easy to keep everything, besides the financials, a secret.

After he told me about a 25yo predator he was talking to, I had to talk him into blocking her and leaving those servers. I think he eventually rejoined them, but I don’t remember.
