  • So I've build a CNC Router, now for a CNC Plasma Table.
Part one I blather on about the what's and why's. There are nuggets in all these words, both for those that wish to offer constructive feedback and for those that are considering their own build and struggling with where to put their efforts.

I am about build a cnc router and cnc plasma cutter all in one. Your design is perfect and is the way I was planing to build mine. After watching some of your videos i think i will make two machines instead. Also i am thinking about adding a diode laser to the router, one that attaches to the spindle, that way i can do both laser and router on the same work piece without to much hassle. thank you for the great videos and ideas.

I came to the same conclusion. One controller and two machines. You save about 50% on the second machine. ~P

Great approach, plan first, but remain flexible with room for tweaking the design. I appreciate the discussion of the different design requirement for plasma vs. router.
Looking forward to the build videos. Thanks for taking the time...

Thomas Crowley You are in luck then. I'm going to post a virtual walk around of the machine with enough info that you may be able to finish before me.
