If this is a new product will the XL version of the table you posted on your "shorts" be a new product to? I bought the original plans 2 months ago with the intention of making the table bigger but if your going to release plans for a larger table I'm not going to purchase the updated design for the small table and then turn around and purchase plans for the big table if it gets released. So I guess my question is will the large table be apart of the updated 2.0 plans or will it have its own plans?
Looks like a great new machine. I bought plans 2 months ago and have just started cutting steel tube for the frame after collecting all of the parts from the previous bill of materials. Do I get free access to the new plans and will any of the steel parts change or am I safe cutting all tubing and plate steel parts?
I finished my version 1 table a while ago, already flashed the Arduino long ago. I finally got around to completing the water tray and slats, but have yet to fire this thing up (learning Fusion). My question is: Is the ESP32 still needed in my case? I went ahead and bought the 2.0 plans and ESP32 controller, I guess I'll see what else I need when I look at the 2.0 plans.
Brilliant. Any recommendations to what CNC to buy? Given the cost of the project and my budget, I'd easily be inclined to aliexpress something, but is there any recommendations?
Ok, when I order the new plans do I replace all my motors plus the electronic controls or can I use my existing motors and replace the electronics on the new control system. I'm also interested in new control board
I bought the plans and 3D printed all the parts over a year ago. I have all of the parts from Amazon bought in a box too. Frame pieces are cut to length but nothing is drilled yet. From this point should I just start the plans over for the electronic portion? I need to figure out which electronic pieces I have need to be swapped out like the board you mentioned. Also I guess I was lucky because I bought the same Nema box with a clear lid. My question is how hot does it get in there with the power supply?
The ESP32 is a great micro controller. Be aware there are serval different incarnations of the ESP32 which makes things confusing. I'm assuming the ones you're using are based on the Xtensa microcontroller (ESP32-WROOM-32, ESP32-S2, and ESP32-S3 should all Xtensa microcontroller). There are also versions of the ESP32 with RISCV based microcontrollers. I'm assuming these are to be avoided for this project. Also, the board that you referenced a screw terminal breakout board and not a hat. Instead of the Uno, you could have used an Arduino Nano with a screw terminal block, but the ESP32 is better for sure. Once I get some projects off the table, I'm definitely going to get the plans for this CNC table. I have a PrimeWeld CUT60 plasma cutter that I need to put to use. For the 3D printed parts, my son has a Bambu that prints great!
@@kello711 HI! If you watch some of JD original videos, they actually planned on going with leadscrews but in the spirit of cost savings opted for the belt system. To answer your question, as close as possible while still building it myself as I have a couple tweaks in mind 👌
Using the Z axes on your plasma cnc table, have you guys concidered making a jig to convert this table into a CNC router table? And is it possible to do from your build plans?
Ok one thing that you say is 350 for the electronics and steel I get prices change but using your links on Amazon in the build it's coming out to 358 just for the electronics wiring motors controllers etc. What am I missing here
Does it have to be a low frequency plasma cutter , I just got a Rossi 45amp non touch pilot ark , but it has 2T and 4T setting ,so can turn off the pilot arc .would this work?
I bought the building instructions from you a few months ago and have already obtained all the parts for the electrical system, such as the Arduino uno. Will the plasma cutter still work well with the Arduino when it is finished? And is it time-consuming to convert to the new controller afterwards?
Going through the old plans, it states 4 walls for the 3D prints with a .08 nozzle. Am I correct in assuming to do 8 walls for a .04 nozzle? The reason I ask is I have multiple printers and while I could certainly print with an .08 nozzle, I would print some of the smaller items on a smaller printer. Just trying to get clarification. Thanks for the great content.
What you are really saying by "all digital", is that you can't print out things you need to see while out in the shop where there is no WiFi. This is a MAJOR handicap!🥴 But you don't tell people up front that everything is locked down. You just make it sound like all digital is the greatest thing since peanut butter for us, but it is just for you that this is good.😮

I am confused about 1 thing.
Are the instructions a downloaded file or an online read only file ?
Is there afree up grade for version before this one ?
My question is why not use a cnc shield with the arduino and skip the external drivers?
Glad i hadnt pulled the trigger on thr plans lol. Have you guys entertained a lead or ball screw version of your machine?
How much closer to the Langmuir Systems Crossfire do you want it to be?
Yes the old machine will still work fine. As of now all of our videos were done with the arduino setup. It would take 1-2 days to make the conversion.
Thanks for the reply, I will probably buy the new package so I don't have to do the work twice.
Anybody here knows this: do they give schematics too and PCB? Or I have to purchase it separately?
Sold!
Yes this would be correct.
do you sell these controlers? do they do torch height? sent a contact on your website
Do you sell the controllers and everything i need if i buy plans for this build?
I guess I'm just lost about the electronic parts. Is that supplied to buy? A full list of items needed along with the build
Does it mean that if you've made the "old" machine with the arduino, that you should back up that sketch, because it might not be available now?
No it doesn't the old version of the plans will not go away, it just won't be for sale anymore.
thank you good sir
I literally just bought mine on Friday this sucks I know it’s only $25 but still sucks schilling out $25 2x before I even got the chance to build one
Same boat here. I bout the plans on July 23.
Heck of a deal...i blow 25 at McDonald's every week.
👍🏻👏🏻👋🏻🤜🏻🍺🍺🍺
What you are really saying by "all digital", is that you can't print out things you need to see while out in the shop where there is no WiFi. This is a MAJOR handicap!🥴 But you don't tell people up front that everything is locked down. You just make it sound like all digital is the greatest thing since peanut butter for us, but it is just for you that this is good.😮
