Definitely bring your own pillow -- sometimes the hospital doesn't have enough! And it was SO nice to have a piece of comfort from home with me. The hospital literally didn't provide anything as far as padsicles or pads, diapers etc. They did have a peri bottle but the Frieda one is better so definitely have that one with you. About the sound machine - don't think you need that honestly. Baby sleeps SO well that first day/night. They can sleep through anything during that first night, at least that was my experience.
Expecting baby girl #3 right now and binge watching your pregnancy videos! I feel like a brand new mom all over again because my first two girls were so close in age. Where is the baby blanket from behind you? So cute!
If there is anything that you’re using now, that you can pack, please do! I heard a few things that you said you will wait to pack until you are leaving. I heard someone said it took them almost two hours to run around and pack all of the “extras” before they left! So if you can pack your cup, flip flops, etc. and use other things for now, that may be helpful for you so you don’t have to go looking for all your extra stuff in the craziness of labor!
Currently 24wks with baby #4. I have also already had a “pandemic” baby. Bring snacks for Jared (and some for you)!!! We were not allowed to leave the room when I had my last. No snack machines, no cafeteria, no visitors bringing snacks, nothing. Also, not for hospital, but after, have stool softener. Trust me. Basically less is more from my perspective, I was so prepared for my first and used almost nothing at all. Haha I’d probably leave the noise machine. Just extra to carry 🤷🏻♀️ oh, and a water bottle for Jared as well.
