@@Elliesxlife I’m not 100% sure as it was so long ago! When I was on the combined pill I used to have the break period every month, but on the mini pill it’s pretty much stopped my periods altogether. I think that took around 3-4 months to happen? I still get spotting now and again but the pain and actual periods stopped pretty much straight away when I went on the pill, hope that helps!

Thank you for sharing! This just goes to show different things work for different people. I also tried natural remedies for years, but I ended up needing a pill anyway. Still get periods but it's a lot better now. People talk about the risks of the pill, but they don't talk about the risks of extreme pain, heavy bleeding and lots of pain medication. Not to mention the way that extreme periods mess with your mental health.

It makes my periods a lot less severe, really a godsend. This year after more than 10 years of the same pill, i have gone on a lighter pill. Regarding Lyme and it almost always has serious co infections. I have had it. General doctors kinda act as though itnis not so serious because they do not specialize in lyme. I went through that.. Then after severe anemia & other strange "can't get well" stuff my entire family saw a world renowned lyme specialist. He said you don't get better, it's something you have to treat. By now, like us you have chronic lyme. You need to see a specialist and he gave me doxycycline. I hope you will just see what a specialist says.

As someone who used to have horrible periods, who hasn't had a period in nearly 10 years because of desogestrel (cezarette then cerelle) but has come off it to try for children...yes. Absolutely bricking it. I've been off it around 3 days now and hoping my period won't come back with a vengeance. From what I can see online it usually takes 2 - 4 weeks for your period to come back, possibly closer to 2 months if you've been on it a long time, anything more than 3 months and you should consult a doctor.
