    I once worked for a pretty good tech research company that hired a lot of prols, the types with no degree. They got to work on all types of fun projects and were were paid pretty well. Pretty flat work structure, that people loved. Had those huge parties where they rent out a hotel, lots of food, music all of that. But good companies get bought out. Then they fire everyone without a degree because they are considered to have no worth anymore. Then more people get fired at the top, until it's completely different place.

    I keep hearing "there is no place for violence." I look around and see non physical ways of committing violence all day, every day.

    What about radio station contests where a caller can win 100 dollars? Their target audience is typically struggling so much that a tiny prize will have the caller jumping for joy. They will in one sentence talk about economic struggles then cut to a lotto commercial.

    16:12 I think the owners feel a different level of pressure to make sure their company remains viable (esp. if a smaller company), and have the pressure of the families their employees are supporting on the salary the owner provides. I don’t think anyone is safe honestly.

    The simple solution to get a better job is simply not as easy as they say. The next time someone says it one should tell them OK, give it to me, or where do you wish me to apply. Where is this better job that will higher me with a better salary and benefits? In all honesty where do I sing up?

    Here is a thing, the new definition of the good company does not mean that will keep you forever, all you can leverage is your skill and knowledge of internal systems, cause at the end of the day all you can sell is your craft, and they cannot let you go cause they have no one to fix if anything is going to go wrong or they are too stupid/incompetent to figure it out for themselves (this is an advantage when you work with idiots), and a major malfunction can very easily disrupt their bottom line. Btw thanks for addressing my question.

    I had a brother with a Master's in Mathematics. He married and had three kids; they were never able to move out of her family's house even though both were educated and worked hard.

    If you did not have 10 maxed out credit cards and student loan debt, you would not be so bad off in hindsight should have left high school, you said you self educated in IT doing certs and climbed from min wage in retail, so you did more to improve yourself away from a college campus

    • @Vrillin
      @Vrillin 5 дней назад

      If you cannot pay your student loans off because you cannot get enough money to pay it off then there must be student loan forgiveness that wipes it out under compassionate means. Many countries have done that already, and sadly yes that means that the tax payer gets the bill so to speak which is a double edge sword where both socialists and capitalists both have correct arguments, the middle ground would be that universities should be given the bill to pay off those debts. But America has several problems some that are: your universities have been gouging and overpricing students to death to get an education, and there are too many universities, university is supposed to be for the elite meaning elites as in the most intelligent and capable of the population to pursue an education in higher learning which is not DIY, and woke non sense, and for careers that actually exist.
