You speak truth in so many levels. Most people think "making it" is only about enjoying the money and buying expensive stuff, but the reality is much different, there are so many details that need to be dealt with on a daily basis so that you can actually maintain your status and keep improving upon it. I remember veritasium making a video nearly 4 years ago at this point about what the most fair recommendation system for youtube to implement would be and the more I observe and use other platforms, the more I feel youtube's system is as whollistically "fair" you can make it. The more I observe and use other platforms, the more this feeling sinks in. Like you can't possibly do a better job. It does a great job of keeping you "happy" while also occasionally exploring loose branching paths. That native exploratory search is amazing vs having external sources.
I can 100% assure you I would have never found you if youtube's algorithm for content search and discovery was similar to tiktok, reddit, or twitter. If this keeps up, you'll earn way more just from youtube being an "influencer" than a typical job even a very highly paid one. It's a perspective shift when you fundamentally realize just how many users there are and how much time is spent on these platforms. In some ways, it's a little sad. I mean I'm no better, but it is a little sad.

The recommendation system might be great or "fair" for the average user but for me its utter garbage. Im someone interested in MANY different topics and I go through fazes that might last a day, week, month, life. It puts me in a bubble IT thinks I might like and its soooooo hard to get out of. Its CONSTANTLY showing me stuff I had alaready seen, because I made the mistake of watching videos more than once. If I go to the homepage there is even a tag for "watched", why on earth would I want to be suggested to see stuff I had already seen? And there is no way to remove it or have any control of what Im suggested, I have no CONTROL over it which i hate. Watch ONE video by some sad person because I wanted to see their point of view......."OH! You must agree with their view on life. Heres one thousand more videos with that sad view on life.". RUclips pushes the worst parts of humanity in the pursuit of views.

I just experienced exponential growth ere-yesterday, I have a very small RUclips channel and just starting with video creation and a single short video provided me with 21 new subscribers in one hour, it was just amazing and even tears fell down from my eyes. I know that to big content creators it might look like nothing but to me it was one of my biggest realizations

Intriguing, 5, 6 years ago I was trying all that I could to get a large sum of subscribers, after a while though I just kind of stopped. Now I just upload music from my records. So substantially speaking even if I did get a large subscriber count I don’t really know how I would handle that or if I would even get anything from it considering I’m just uploading hundred year old music.

Watch out Enrico about the exponential growth. It can be VERY dangerous for your mental health. Just ended my therapy, started about 1 year and a half ago. RUclips can be a very, VERY stressful work :( by the way I'm happy that your channel skyrocketed :)

Congrats on your growth. Personally, I think the hardest thing when you're blowing up, would be psychological. Because now there are way more people expecting things from you. And then there's whether or not you'll be able to keep pulling in those views. Because going viral is 1 thing, but there are channels out there that went viral and because of that, they burned out and they couldn't keep that momentum going.
So I wish you can handle all of the pressure, because you deserve it.

What an uplifting video, I am where you were ( 2 years in RUclips, 2500subs). And trying to reach out to other to collaborate. But always seem to collaborate with smaller ones, to help them out instead. You made me realize the different view you will have if it happens, and it’s probably cleaver to think about it beforehand, it just seems so far away😂.

Hey Enrico, I'm one of your new subs and I very much appreciate your work. When I watch your videos, I am inspired to start creating again. I recently had an idea for making money from my art using a laser cutter and I have been thinking of making videos while I work. But I need to create first. So I downloaded some creative software and started putting my ideas to "paper". Due to depression and being on worker's comp, I have stopped painting. I couldn't think of a way to be a financial painter full-time. But this idea has inspired me and your videos help me stay on track. I can't thank you enough for getting me going again. Cheers, mate.
