    Thank you so much for the information! I’ve been dealing with Deb derm for 20 years! Lots of trial and error, and I finally started using a tee tee oil shampoo that also has peppermint and lavander, and it has helped me so much!!! If anyone is trying to find a shampoo to help with seb derm, try the tea tree oil!! ❤️

      @Madame Well | Seborrheic Dermatitis Expert What is proportion of Squalane Oil and Tea Tree to be used please?

    • @madamewell
      @madamewell  2 года назад +1

      @@RithhinJawaaharPaal I would start with 1 drop of tea tree oil to 10 drops of squalane oil and increase it to a ratio of 2-3:10 if your skin tolerates it. I usually use this regimen as prevention. If your face is already inflammed, even diluted tea tree oil will burn. The only products I recommend in the inflammed phase is an anti-fungal cream and a gentle moisturizer. Hope this helps :)

      @@madamewell what about for Seborrheic Dermatitis for the scalp. I’m applying Squalane and Tea tree

    • @madamewell
      @madamewell  2 года назад +1

      @@RithhinJawaaharPaal Is it working for you? You can use the same tea tree oil to squalane oil ratio but only massage a few drops of oil into your scalp at a time so it doesn't get too oily. I actually found applying oil on my scalp made my dandruff worse. I put a few drops of tea tree oil into my regular shampoo instead.

    I use Neutrogena makeup remover and CeraVe facial cleanser & CeraVe daily moisturizing with hyaluronic acid, are these products okay to use I have SD.

    • @madamewell
      @madamewell  10 месяцев назад +2

      Yes all these products are OK to use with SD. However, everyone's skin is different. If you are concerned about any of the products, give it a rest for a few weeks.

    Hello. I saw in your site rosemary essential oils are safe for seborrheic and also good for my fine volumeless hair. So I was wondering what could I mix it with for applying if all oils are no no??

    • @madamewell
      @madamewell  Год назад +2

      Good question. Squalane oil, jojoba oil and MCT oil don't feed Malassezia. Read more here: madamewell.com/best-carrier-oils-seborrheic-dermatitis/
      However, too much oil can still irritate your scalp. You can mix rosemary oil with your shampoo, conditioner, or any other hair product as well :) Good luck!

      No need for garlic and I don't recommend seawater for many reasons (madamewell.com/sea-water-seborrheic-dermatitis/). I recommend my favourite shampoos in this article including some natural options:

      MCT oil is safe to use when you have seb derm but it's not a cure/treatment. You may find this seb derm directory helpful: madamewell.com/seborrheic-dermatitis/

    is it safe to consume these oils in foods though if you have this condition? like cooking with olive oil or coconut oil?

    • @madamewell
      @madamewell  9 месяцев назад +2

      Cooking with these oils is fine. Just don't apply them to your skin.

    What about sea buck torn oil? Is it safe to use for this condition?

    • @madamewell
      @madamewell  Год назад +1

      Hey! Some people say it's good but there's actually no evidence that seabuckthorn oil is effective for seb derm. It's a long-chain fatty acid (LCFA) so it may even irritate your skin further and feed Malassezia. You can check out the deep dive in this article: madamewell.com/sea-buckthorn-oil-seborrheic-dermatitis/

    How to treat hair loss with seb derm?

    • @madamewell
      @madamewell  7 месяцев назад +2

      You treat the underlying cause - the seb derm. Here is the link to an article about my favorite anti-dandruff shampoos: madamewell.com/best-shampoo-seborrheic-dermatitis/ but start with whatever you have at home first. Rosemary oil is supposed to help with hairloss and seb derm so maybe go for one with added rosemary oil.

      I read somewhere that ingesting omega 6 oils (unsaturated fats) are bad for Seborrheic Dermatitis. That means ALL vegetable and seed oils incl olive. Does this sound right to you?
      I'm currently on an animal based diet and have completely stopped consuming these oils. Apparently they take 2 years to be expelled from the body.

    • @madamewell
      @madamewell  7 месяцев назад +1

      most people ingest too much omega 6 oils due to processed foods. So in that sense, yes, it's bad for seb derm. I definitely recommend cleaning your diet up. Extra-virgin olive oil is actually anti-inflammatory and is a dietary food I recommend in moderation.
