Although the show was sold out we were able to sneak in to see Santa live …with the stars above. Unforgettable even 44 years later…

I listened to Carlos Santana for the first time with the LP Lotus. This man led me to jazz, Brazilian music, and most of all, salsa. I love the Lotus version, but this one is on fire. Raul Rekow had a phenomenal groove, I think the drummer is Walfredo Reyes ?

I'm a drummer playing for 48 years, but I could have sworn that was a Gibson S-G. I do know that for most of his early stuff, he played a Gibson Sunburst Les Paul. I could be wrong about that too because as I used to watch him in 1974 and 1978, i was just blown away and I was on acid sometimes. I love Santana and grew up with Mike Brown and Greg Rolle in Carlos' great early band.

Music is all supposed to draw each one to what their ear hears. I agree there is some crap but just cause its rap it isn't crap. There is more crap desth metal then crap rap. Aside this is Santana best song ever.
