JPJ is an absolute must in round 1. They have to do whatever it takes to get him. He alone would upgrade the run game, and getting a star studded back early would be the perfect combination. Plenty of LBs in FA as mentioned, you killed this draft imo!
Do agree about focusing on center. Nothing against Biadsz, but it seems he wants too much money. RB is must. Our ground game was embarrassing last year. Still want to see Dallas go after linebackers.
Honestly, I think we need to upgrade at Center. Biadiaz isn't what we need at Center because he has too many issues that are fatal flaws.
As you said, it's nothing against Biadiaz but we need better at Center.

What are your thoughts about JPJ having very short arms. That's usually not an issue in college, but is detrimental in the pros.
JPJ in the first round is a must! Even if that means we trade up. Also the rb spot we should grab braelon Allen instead I think.

With round 2 Id still go with a linebacker but also do think that is a position the Cowboys should target in free agency. Sign a good vet to a 2 year deal but also draft one in the 2nd round, preferably Edgerrin Cooper
You are exactly correct with picking the best center and your pick would be a huge improvement. I also agree that we need a veteran linebacker from free agency. Our current linebackers have athletics ability but knowing how to line up and recognizing a certain play is at best horrible. We need a veteran linebacker to pull this group together. I haven't checked all the running backs in the draft but not doing all the chores of a running back is a big red flag for me. These college running backs have alot of time so far to develop there skills at all the position requires so I would not draft a running back who doesn't know how to do all the jobs he is responsible to do.

Don’t need to reach for any position early. Stay true to your board. I hate reaching and we’ve got in trouble doing that in the past.
I still like pollard, had bad luck this season
@@BeachbaIICS I mean I do as well but he’s gotta resign so unless they get him for a steal it would not be worth it. Pollard is a great back who got hurt at an unfortunate time late in the year and never recovered. Sucks but that’s part of football. Had he not broke his fibula vs Niners I think pollard would have had an all pro season

I’d go CB in the first. If Trice falls to us at 56, I’d take him there. I’d get a C or RB later rounds. Payton Wilson in the 3rd round or Colson if he’s there.

Can you recommend a realistic draft simulation? I chose the 1st one Google displayed and it was ridiculous. I traded down twice in the first round, still got JPJ, then Edge Cooper, then J. Trotter Jr. Followed with a pretty highly rated OT, S and RB. It was silly.
B. I love the JPJ selection and i like looking at DT in the 3rd. I just don't know if i would draft RB in the 2nd. I think OT would be better value.
Yes I agree with that assessment myself I think we need a veteran middle linebacker in that position.

Played against mediocre teams and the only halfway decent teams he played he didnt play well with underperforming stats. Not a fan of the lower quality defenses he had to play. Overrated.

Also I have us getting Patrick Queen or Devin White in free agency as a must. We'll see how that goes. Luvu as a 2nd LB in free agency would be good also
i prefer braelon allen in the 3rd and cooper in the 2nd. bring a guy like azeez al shair who is a veteran and can start right away and can teach overshown and cooper things
The right move for the 2nd round is Braelon Allen out of Wisconsin. He is 6'2" 242 and top heavy like Derrick Henry. Oh and he just turned 20. I'm telling you this is another Wisconsin Draft pick we will not be disappointed with!
First off none of this matters when we have Dak and McCarthy, and Jerry Jones for that matter. Outside of that, an interior defensive linemen is our biggest need by far.
I approve of it as long as Benson is a huge difference maker don't mind taking a back early even if it is only for 4-5 years a deep play off run is well worth it
ACL's aren't as serious as they once were in the 90's or early 2000's, medicine has really jumped to incredible levels, majority of players nowadays days bounce back wonderfully, plus he's very, very young.
Though I prefer Benson too, why Benson because Cowboys have had success with one cut backs. Benson reminds me of DeMarco Murray #29.
Braelon Allen averaged 1100 yards and 12 TDs in college, better than Benson. So did Audric Estime for that matter. We do need a speed back too probably, but get the workhorses first imho. Get Jaylon Wright or Jawhar Jordan (4.3 40 guys) to go with a bigger back, like Allen or Estime. Benson's stats aren't that impressive tbh
JPJ will unfortunately, be gone by the time #24 rolls around. But regardless, I like your Draft. If we substitute a different C or go OT here. Then your 2nd Pick was my #1 rated RB, Trey Benson. The guy’s amazing! And your last Pick was the DT. I have to admit, I don’t know anything about the guy you took but I do know that we need an impactful DT on this team.

That reaction time of the ball is much much better than Mazzi. On that along he is an improvement over Mazzi who is only an average Tackle because his reaction time of the ball is the worse in years.

I like your picks but they make too much sense. That’s not The Cowboys way. They pretty much never draft who I want them to. Jerry and Stephen always feel the need to show everyone they’re the smartest people in the room.

This mock draft is okay and this pass rusher looks like he could be able to work out with the Dallas Cowboys and probably turn out okay.
Linebackers super deep the players in 4rth measure evenly and put up similar or better numbers than the day 2 guys
If they bring back Tyler Biadasz then we won't have a running game again this season, he gives no push in the run game and is not effective enough at the second level of blocking. Hopefully the talent at tackle position pushes some great players to us in the 1st round. I will pass out if JPJ and T'Vondre Sweat were available in the 1st and 2nd round respectively. That would shore up the middle of our offensive and defensive lines immediately. Oh and Texas fans seen Brooks carry that offense up until his injury, I might not take him in the 2nd but I'd definitely take him over Benson. You filled 3 big needs with decent to good talent so I'm giving a B+
ok I am good with the center but if mims is there he is a stud! 2 nd LB please 3rd Audric Estime with be the best running back pick for the cowboys!
O.L D.L. L.B if any of those 3 are B.P.A. I'm going those positions early and often. Need C and L.T. , I.D.L. and Edge. And 2 L.B. I don't care who is running if we don't fix the O.L. And if we don't get a lot stronger on our front 7 we will be setting at home next yr for the suoerbowl. We fix the O.L. and we can really see what Luepke, Davis and possibly Dowdle can do behind consistent blocking. O.L. and front 7 early and often. You get an A from me except the R.B. I just can't justify spending a 2nd on R.B. when we need starters and depth in the trenches and L.B.

We have to go get Powers because Miami and Seahawks need a center too…we need a LB or CB it’s plenty of RBs in this class and we don’t know if Lewis and Gilmore will be back

@ DM...you need to check on Marshon Lloyd if you haven't already. The dude seriously reminds me of Barry Sanders. I'd take LB Cooper in 2nd and Marshon Lloyd in 3rd, if we're lucky that he's still there. Benson is good, but ML is going to surprise many in the NFL

I think this is the 2nd round pick. I see Braelon Allen as a Derrick Henry style of player. He's 6'2" 242lbs ALREADY and built top heavy like Henry. He's only 20 years old, is good on the pass protection and can catch it if thrown to. We usually have success drafting from Wisconsin (Ferguson, Biadasz, Frederick etc). Now take this signing and add Derrick Henry to mentor and help bring him into the NFL fold and you have the most dangerous 1+2 power backs in a LONG time!
I hope we get Benson or Derrick Henry.

It seems like you forgot Micah is one of the best LBs in the league. Him and Damone can be our starting two, and I’d like a 5-2/ 3-4 kinda feel on defense…
#11 lacks any LBer instincts...but I agree he is too small to play the run @ DE.
Sorry but D Clark was running the opposite direction of the opposing running back in the playoffs. He has a long way to go. Also it's a 4-3, meaning we need 3 LBs minimum. I'd go for 2 FA linebackers and another one in the draft in R2 or so

@@Dougarony I used a cool program to restructure 6 players, and had 62m in cap space afterwards. That's before extending Lamb and Parsons which would actually lower it for 2024 even more. There's money there pretty easily, but will they use it correctly or at all. Not sure but using same app I got Patrick Queen at about 16m per year and Luvu for 4m per year. The cap hit was more like 9.9m for Patrick in 2024 and 2.9m for Luvu. That's quite doable, especially if the plan is to cut Gallup and Cooks post June 1, saving close to 18m in cap space between the two WR. Gallup alone is almost 10m in cap savings and that would pay for the bulk of the LB need. But I'm doubtful they do much, because that's their par for the course tbh

I just can't agree with replacing Biadasz. He's only a season removed from making the Pro Bowl, even if it was just in replacement. We have bigger problems on our OL than him, so it feels like we're trying to fix what isn't broken instead of addressing the elephant in the room (having a skill liability at right tackle, and an injury liability at left tackle).
Cedric van Pratt is very good center probably can get him in round 3

I like the 1st and 2nd picks a lot. The 3rd round I would go with someone like Cedric Gray out of UNC but only if they don't get a LB in FA as mentioned. I think in FA they should go after Henry and let Benson learn behind him as they have a lot of the same running style. Also make a run at Stefon Diggs. I know that's a long shot but it would be great and create a pick your poison situation at WR.
We're not paying Diggs old ass that much when we have to be pay CeeDee Lamb. Just not gonna happen

I'd say Braelon Allen behind Henry instead of Trey Benson. Basically the same body type/height and weight as Henry plus Allen can pass protect.

I think they should get rid of Tyler Biadasz and keep Stephon Gilmore because Tyler Biadasz is no good he haven't been no good ever since Travis Frederick retired.
Gilmore is 34 in September and his estimated value is 11.1m for 1 year. Dallas will not be paying near that for him, no way no how. But they can go get Adoree Jackson (25 yr old) for less and he's quite good from the Giants (via free agency). We'll see but I just don't see that happening on Gilmore. He did a great job but I can't see him keeping it up at that age and especially at that price range for Dallas. 😎🤙
