Rescuing Our FedEx Driver in a Snow Storm!

- While we were on an overland expedition in the Arctic Circle in our Bronco Raptor, our home got hit with an insane snow storm! Chris & Bec were staying busy and warm in the shop....until they got a call from our FedEx driver. Trying to deliver packages, despite the weather conditions, ended up with his FedEx truck seriously stuck in the snow!
So Chris & Bec "borrowed" our 840hp Demon swapped Jeep Wrangler, and went to rescue him and his truck from the snow storm! This video is of the wonderful chaos & neighborly camaraderie that ensued!
Note - The Demon Child was experiencing a rear locker failure, that Chris & Bec did not realize during this recovery (the issue is found and fixed in an upcoming video). And although Kevin & I took a Factor55 kinetic rope with us to the Arctic Circle, we also left one at home. But they were in a hurry & unfortunately didn't grab our Factor55 recovery bag, which had the rope and other equipment inside.

(Also, our FedEx drive did not get in trouble. He's an awesome dude & his boss seemed pretty understanding from what we were told. Especially considering that the reason this particular road has not been plowed yet...was because the plow truck had also gone off the road.)
I bet those deep tracks were the plow truck went off
Whoops 😮lol
The amount of experts in these comments is incredible.... lol
Thanks for the explanation. Mistakes were made but they did rush out to help in the middle of an extreme storm. It was just straight up nuking out there. Wow.
Glad he didn't get in trouble
After watching Matt's off-road recovery videos, this rescue video actually reminds me of how good at this that Matt really is.
Recovery points.. are. Or. They are like paint on a pig.. do not just say that'll work.. frame! For gosh sakes!
Definitely the difference between someone who does it every day of his life for a living (we’d certainly hope he’s good at it), and two people who have very little recovery experience. 😊
Gahhhhh straps! No nay never!
@@michaelrobbins9679 there's definitely a time for a strap on pavement 😊
I'm not even a bit blaming.. I grew up in Alaska way before these recovery ropes. Chains. 3/4" chains! Still a soft pull but on the frame... These trucks the "recovery points" are just asking for damage.
OMG….🤣😂🤣 This video had it ALL !!! FedEx in distress, neighbors with JEEPS, passer by gets SUCKED IN the mix !! Lots of laughs, and lots of SNOW !!!❄️☃️ I liked this one a lot !! Great video you two !!!
I hope FedEx diver didn’t get in trouble. 😂. Glad you got him out.
I love seeing neighbors helping neighbors.
Sometimes a way to recover vehicles like this is to sharply pull the rear back up on the road and have the stuck vehicle turn the steering wheel down hill ( right in this case). This tends to almost slide the vehicle sideways back on to the road. It causes the front and rear to come back onto the road at the same time. It’s not intuitive and seems backwards but it works.
Just lawn darting things everywhere 😂😂 . Well the county should be happy now they have somewhere to put the snow 😉 !! Great job guys ❤❤💯🤙
Chris and Bec to the rescue! Happy Trails to you all!
I've done plenty of those kind, and I've been rescued by kind stranger's like you too,the same way, almost the same predicament 🙏🙏🙏 God bless 🙏🙏🙏
AWESOME EVERYONE CAME TOGETHER TO HELP!
It’s always good when the community comes together and helps each other. That’s the way things should be.
This video made my day... 😅 pulling the bumper off was priceless. 😂 Bec and Chris show.
You couldn’t have staged this better if you’d had a script! Hilarious. So now the FedEx truck has a better approach angle…nothin’ wrong with that! You guys are great!
That was fun to watch. Snow recovered are always exciting. I can't believe how deep the snow was where that Chevy went off. Fed ex driver seems like a good dude!
It’s no Matt’s Off-road but yet it’s still entertaining. Haha. Good neighbors are hard to find these days. Good stuff.
This entire video was amazing 😂😂😂 full of highs and lows
It was a roller coaster 🎢
I liked that as soon as they mentioned MORR that it popped out then.
Y'all need Yankum recovery ropes or Matt's Offroad Recovery Rope. Gotta love that kinetic energy
Ya we have a factor 55 kinetic rope. They work great. They just didn’t grab the bag that had the factor 55 rope in it
Reminds me of the time a club I belonged to volunteered to help clear debris from the lake beach after a major flood (over 6 ft). We had 8 Jeeps hooked together to pull logs off the beach!
Oh, wow I'm so envious you got all the toys, scenery, and weather, thanks for sharing kids,
That Chevy was a nice truck.
Nice job. Thanks for sharing.
Great job guys if u put the shackle on the passenger side of the van it would side that front end over towards the road glad to see u helping out the community
All's well that ends well! And fun to watch too!
And yet I didn't see one shovel ! Living on Long island NY I always had my collapsible shovel on board my 4x4's. Whether it was Adirondack snow, downstate snow on Long Island or beach driving on Hither Hills, Fire Island or Montauk Point, ya just gotta have a shovel! Just my two cents worth! Glad they got the guy unstuck! 😊😊🎉
That was a cool vid. Thanks Bec & Chris 👍
It's always good to help people. Good Karma. Thanks for the videos
I work for a towing company and next time when u hook up hook to the far side of the stuck vehicle and so in this case hook to the right side of the FedEx truck and the left side of the Jeep so ur pulling more up onto the road and it will pull out and back onto the road easier it will still take some pulling but then it’s trying to pull back onto the road instead of pulling down the ditch. Great job guys.
First post! Yea! I love Bec and Chris and Brit and Kev, you make my week month and year!!,
I was pushing that Fed Ex Truck as hard as I could from my chair at home lol. Great job
I'm from Minnesota, and watching you try to deal with snow is hilarious.
Chris & Bec to the rescue!! no better duo to get it done than these two rockstars.
You're so awesome guys
I was stressed watching this video praying that truck would come out. Bec and Chris did awesome!! They didn’t hook up the bumper so NOT their fault!! Way to go LBTEAM!!
Watching this makes me love my kinetic energy rope even more
We have Factor55 kinetic ropes, but Chris & Bec we’re in a hurry on their way out & just didn’t grab our Factor55 recovery bag
We have all made mistakes that cost us. Great to have friends and love your jeep.
Good team work. All's well that ends well!
Wonderful to see the team work and success of the recovery. To paraphrase a line from Galaxy Quest "Never give up, never surrender". Thanks for sharing.
Shoulda called Matt, or Rory...
Good work, 'cept for stopping to th' bumper. TEAM Work for th' WIN!🏆
Ouch! Y'all gotta be watching MORR videos! Dang plastic! I had a couple inches of snow in my yard; you're a half hour north and 2 thousand feet higher! Been a wet winter fer sher. Love the comradere and the willingness to jump right in. Who gets the insurance bill?! LiteBriteNationPullsABumperBoner!
victory pie for Chis and Bec!!!!!
All in all a fun day.
Great job, snow and gravity always make for and interesting recovery. A few things could have been done differently but the most important result is everyone made it home safe.
Just had to reminisce 😉❤❤💯🤙
on these recoveries first remove the bumper to get to good tow points noted...🙂. Only thing that might have been a better tow point was the passenger side of the Fed Ex truck to pull it more toward the center of the road. But still a great job helping neighbors, this is one thing I miss is more people willing to help their neighbors.
Yeah, since the truck had zero dedicated recovery points on the front, the bumper is what the FedEx driver chose to hook to. We would have gone to the front axle beam (because we’ve recovered 18-wheelers from sand pits like that before), but we weren’t there. I believe that’s what Chris hooked to once the bumper was out of the way. 🙂
Matt really dose make it look easy. I spent a lot of the video wondering when they were going to use their winch or a comb of pulling and winching. It worked out though 👍 Good job Chris and Beck
We are here live from lite brite nation headquarters here in utah where jeeps help get there own parts delivered. Hey fed ex how bout upfitting some gladiators !
You should have hooked to the passenger side to pull the front onto the road
I love Bec.
Now that is a fun day!
Kids! Great you kids & neighbors rescued the FEDEX truck & driver, but! I'm 73 been through too many snowed stuck vehicles out here on the east coast & many times walloped w/snow! You guys are in where...? Utah! 2 plus feet of snow! Nobody has a snow shovel! Noooo'body has a snowplow or even tire chains...! What's with you kids?! Get a plow mounted on 1 of your beater trucks w/ snow chains & use the winch! There will be a next time! Love you kids but ya need to get your ear bent on this one! As always, be safe & stay warm out there... AMERICA FIRST!
you two are flipn awesome!!!!
Love me some Lite Brite Garage. Thank you for your time.
Nice job I'm glad the fed ex driver didn't get in trouble
Watching this makes me anxious. Lol. That’s some deep ass snow
That was a trip. ✌🏼
I think I could watch an entire video of Peanut and Jelly playing in the snow!
Best video ever....
Excellent vid!
That was definitely fun to watch. Good job guys! Keep up the good work 😂😂😂
#TeamKentucky for the win! Shoutout from 270!
Great job guys. Gotta love Utah weather.
on the lite brite side picking the fedex truck apart makes it lighter to tow :)
Good job regardless, y’all are awesome, God Bless 🙏🏼
Hell Yeah Cowboy! (my buddy in the black Jeep)
All in a days work. Great work.
The shutdown sound was funny 😂😂 😂😂😂😂 and we’ll placed.
One of the best videos ever!
I’m so happy to look helpful recovery …you’re awesome team work two thumbs up 👍
GREAT TEAM WORK
always hook up to the frame in recovery
That was great stuff😂! Loved this video. Hopefully the FedEx driver didn’t get in trouble. They should drive 4 wheel drive trucks to deliver in the snow.
You guys are awesome and you will succeed, nicely done ✔
I think 🤔it would have taken MATT'S OFF ROAD RECOVERY A LITTLE While to get there 😂
Have a Great Day 👍
God Bless America 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
A great movie for the Oscar's! Had a little bit of everything! 😂
Wow Chris looks like that is wet snow ❄️ judging by the FEDEX trucks rear tire. Good luck pulling him out.
Chris and Bec rock love their videos and quality of work
I love how people are like you should of done this or that. Easy to say when your not in the middle of the shit storm trying to help
The fact that Britt managed to not edit in some circus music is testament to how much she loves y'all. Lol
Yesss! Success!!
Wow…if that didn’t keep getting deeper…good job!
4th! Sorry to be late but I was working on my Jeep!
Wow can’t believe you hooked up to the bumper.
It’s where the driver chose to hook the strap himself.
So was I the only guy really enjoying the video because I heard the demon child super charger whining!!!!!😂
😂🤣😂🤣😂 well they’re definitely not Matt 😂🤣😂. This reminds of an incredible RUclips classic called Snow Tow. Highly recommend for a classic laugh.
Snow car towing *
Now the Fed Ex truck has a berrer approach angle 😊
Did you hear the sad trombones when the bumper pulled off? Bump, bump, bu-bump, whaaa…. I know they don’t make vehicles with good recovery points, but bumpers are no good. Maybe on a car/truck prior to the mid 70’s, but not any more. Remember when you jacked up the vehicle from a slot in the bumper you jack went into?
Love the Buenos dias beanie!
Lack of chains is mind blowing...
Freaken Turkeys at the end we’re hilarious 😂
Good stuff guys that looks fun.
Great video thank you!
great job!! Hope the fedex Driver didn't trouble for losing his front bumper lol.
He didn’t! ❤️
That was intense!
Nice Chevy! Good to see a real truck on the show! lol
The whole neighborhood rolls tough 4x4s.
Haha unfortunately we all saw that coming. For vehicles without tow hooks you have to hook to the frame.
For next time: grab the low side of the vehicle to turn it onto the road as you pull. Also double over the rope to get a closer and have a better angle to pull onto the road.
I love Chris and Bec.... Finally back.... lol
That's why ya never see a tow truck hook to a bumper... Ideally a winch or kinetic rope would've been much better.... but should've hooked to a lower control arm.... you could hang the whole truck from a control arm... and take the shorter one from FedEx to 1st pull vehicle so it could sharpen the angle up onto the road instead of the long one shallow & just dragging it. Also would help to have fed ex not spin so it had a chance to get up on top instead of continuing to dig... ya make do with the equipment ya have, but hooking to the control arm or frame would've been better.
No good deed goes unpunished
Those dogs need lift kits if they are going to be in that kind of terrain! 🤣🤣
No worries, they can order another bumper and have Amazon deliver it to them 😉
I live in Louisville, Kentucky. Part of the FedEx problem was that he kept spinning the tires when he should have kept the truck at idle.
I hope you got your package. FedEx probably figures you owe them a bumper now.
Nah, the driver hooked up the strap. 😅 And his boss was super understanding of the whole situation. I imagine he was just grateful everyone was okay and his guy was back on the road
@@LiteBrite I think the Owner (Ground are independently owned) is glad for Chris and Bec and the two neighbors saved the company a $500 or more tow bill and would rather replace a bumper.
