- This Sambuk build is great for PVP! It focuses on close range combat and builds quick and powerful crew attacks for unlockable damage on your enemies.
The Black Prince armour and Rigging Station furniture piece work great together for massive survivability, it’ll make it very difficult for the enemy to sink you.
New furniture pieces like the compagnie spirit locker and boatswains toll are very important for the build.
Using the special trick shown in the video is a very powerful method in all PvP fights!

I 100% agree! Plus we don’t know what size/style areas the new 5v5 PvP mode will be. If it’s close range areas than this again will excel

I've always been a Sambuk man and loved Zams. But after you're in it for a long time as I did, you realize that for PVP, Zams are way too short in range, people just run away and keep a safe distance to attack you. Fire Bombards with Infernal Maw is the best Sambuk by far.
I 100% know what you mean, the fire bombards gives us way more range and I still love that build.
But this tankier crew attack version of the Sambuk is great for surprising other players with the high damage mitigation and unlockable attacks. I would pick the other build for cutthroats for the reasons you said about them running away, but for takeovers or the new 5v5 mode coming soon I think this one will be a really strong option 🔥🔥
Yes and no. IM+FB Sambuk is an absolute melter, deleter of ships, but a Zambuk can counter the DR builds with crew attacks. Range isn't really that much of an issue anymore with upgrades, so long as you can manage to get within 200-250m and don't have to PvP the wind as well. I still run Fire Bombards, though. Sail tear damage is pretty decent with the FBs. Zamzama barely grace the sails.
@@magsical All ships received a speed upgrade, you still have problems against the Brigantine and the Brig, it-s almost useless against them. Aldo, the Sambuk has 4 top deck gun ports on the sides and only 3 lower deck, so you-re not really loosing much. Then Zams are a ammo eater.

Did the bo armor get nerfed since this? Its only like a 30 or 40% dmg reduction i thought
Are you talking about the black prince? If so, yeah it did receive a little nerf, but it still works great. It’s still one of the best armour choices

It use to be available from the legacy cache in the black market but I’m not sure if that has changed now.

That is correct :) but a lot of the newer minor furniture pieces are a different rarity to the original minor furniture pieces.

I now have a level 13 ultimate barque tank health build. But since hitting level 13 I’m not seeing a lot of players anymore. What is going on? I tried to downgrade my ship to lvl 12 but still not a lot of players or things to do? Anyone got some tips? I felt that at the lower levels there were a lot more people…
Sometimes it bugs out and puts you in a near empty server. Do you play with cross play enabled? Also I accidentally started up the game with my PvP flag on and it put me in a totally empty server haha.
Plus if you see a friend online, join them and it’ll most likely be a full server

I know of 2 places you can buy them, either from the Oubliette vendor along the shore. She accepts essence for the upgrade parts.
Or you can trade with scurlock and Rahma, but I think they require HEAPS of helm materials
A properly built pvp sloop destroys this build because the sambuk is a glass cannon no matter how you build it. A pvp sambuk build in the current meta is a fire bombard build, not a zamzam build.
A bombard would be a better call for long range fights, but this build would eat up anyone in a closed area where range isn't available. Also I believe we can both admit a bombard sambuk is a joke against a sloop anyway since S2 gear let's us mitigate AOE dmg to a stupid degree. Cannon-buks are a larger threat to my sloop anyway if they are allowed to get close.
I know what you’re saying but I tested this build against sloops and as soon as I got in close range with them they melted away. If they stayed at longer distances than they won. So it’s situational to the area you’re fighting in. Could be great for the 5v5 mode coming soon
@@gusomajic As a Sloop main, I can confirm. Zambuks are a greater threat than Fire Bombards-buk.
