Marvel legends Iron Man has that classic Jack Kirby look to it much better than the Mezco,
The Mezco one is too skinny/lanky, especially when compared to other Mezco figures. It makes no sense for regular characters in tights to be bulkier than a guy in a metal suit
Its suppose to be a modern classic comic book iron man. The other one is straight from the comic

yeah i have both and i agree with you, the Tony headsculpt on the ML figure is EVERYTHING. It's so good.
Hasbro scales much better with the rest of my collection but Mezco as always just kills it with the accessories
For the price, ease of handling and comic accuracy...Marvel Legends.

Both figures look amazing. Mezco is incredibly overpriced. Heck! Call me crazy but I think Marvel Legends are overpriced too.

Honestly, I prefer the Legends version. Mezco is amazing and I’m sure the diecast is great in person, but the Legends just looks better to me and the Tony head is delightful. However, I do like the red on the Mezco more. I would be thrilled if a super reflective, true Alex Ross styled paint job could be done on a classic IM figure, but I’m sure that’s very difficult to achieve in real life.

I just bought the marvel Legends one and have the Mezco one. The Mezco one hands down is a much better fig. I never feel like the Mezco is going to break. I really just bought the Marvel legend one to put the Tony Stark head on the Mezco one ( with some putty, it's looks awesome).
I will pick up Ironman at some point for sure. I really want that Tony Head sculp-for my Mezco✨✨✨🙌🏽😁🤓🤓🤓

I'd say that Marvel Legends is 80s Iron Man, and Mezco is current year Iron Man with a classic inspired armor
Love the video, I prefer the mezco version, I think you should do both videos for the captain America (including the mezco modern cap, my personal favourite). They’re (ironmans) both really good figures, and the marvel legends stark headsculpt is beautiful, but I love the style and design about the mezco version and whenever I pose it or see it online it just makes me really excited, its an awesome figure.
So glad I don't have the weak leg issues you seem to have with your Mezco. I bought both simply to give my Mezco a unmasked head and it looks great. The legends figure will end up as hall of armor display.
That weak hip joint it a pretty common thing. I'm glad to see that's not the case fore everyone.
havocdogg how does the unmasked head fits on the Mezco? I kinda want to buy the ML just to use the head into my Mezco iron man
@@eduardogarcia9236 For me, it fits and looks fine for display. It doesn't snap onto the peg though, so if your gonna play around with it you might want some of that sticky tac or whatever it is they use. The stuff that you can peel off without damaging your figure

Could you show us how the mezco iron Man and mafex Spider-Man look together?
It's very hard but I'll go with the legend :
1)i hate when a figure broke or is frail, it ruin the fun, why I'm buying it a toy/articulate then if can't use their articulation or playing with them?
2)accessories are very good on it cause they are practically are what he needs, I don't think I'll ever use a unibeam or that rocket hips thingy but I would DEFINITELY use a Tony Stark head, especially if that good.
3)price is a quarter less, and I think it suits MY needs, cause I've not lot of money (still 19 and haven't a work)
4)i honestly prefer the paint on the hasbro, that yellow it kinda look cheap on the mezco, don't know..
Legends are overpriced for what they give. Hasbro reuse molds again and again. And accesories? Are you blind or idiot? Regular Legends has 2 hands One effect and that's it. Legends are good but to Think they are better than Mezco it means you may have brain damage.
No need to act like that brotha. It's cool to have different opinions. Every collector wants something different out of the figures they buy, sometimes Legends provides it and sometimes Mezco does. No need to say people are idiots or have brain damage. Be cool man.

Everyone goggling and gagaling over the legends. I prefer the Mezco. Not to mention all the accessories it’s comes with. Only good thing about the Legends is I’m not scared to break it.
The Mezco figure is really cool as a modern update but for me personally I want my classic Iron Man to look like he stepped out of the pages of a bronze age comic and the 80th anniversary version does that spectacularly well.
Great video! I really enjoy these comparisons. I personally prefer the Mezco but the Legends definitely has its merits. I’d like to see a comparison of all the classic Caps.

Mezco all the way not even close! Don’t get me wrong I wish they were cheaper but let’s be honest for $80 it’s not too bad I feel like mezco could easily sell all their figures for $100-$120 retail easily...
How well did the legends head fit on the mezco because that looked great?
I tried the head swap recently and although it looks good it doesn't sit on the peg properly. .its too loose..!!
The mezco version of the unmasked Tony face really kinda reminds me of the Jeff Bridges Iron Monger character lol.

How well does the ML Tony Stark head fit on Mezco Iron Man?
He included a shot with the ML head on the Mezco body. It didn't look bad but I don't know if it was pegged on or just resting on the neck

Both are Very good. For the proposition of them. One is a toy and other is high end collectible.
This time i Go with legends.
Really prefer the Mezco version and i handle mine a lot. Haven’t had any issues with the legs, however I own two, so I’ve done things with him that I wouldn’t have if I didn’t have a backup.
This pop up and played so i rewatched it. My ml ironman's thigh swivel joint snapped the other day. Funny thing was that a person i know experienced exactly the same breakage on the same day. Could be just a coincidence but i felt like the plastic used was expired or something 😕
I like how the habro one is more comic book accurate and I like how the blast affects look more comic book accurate

I have both of there figures, but I prefer the Marvel Legends. The Legends one is a toy and the Mezco one is a collectible, like a Hot Toys figure.

I added LEDs to my marvel legends iron man. Cost me 24 dollars all in. Also repainted it which was really quick and easy because of the simplicity of the design. Red just gets painted silver and then you go over that with a metallic candy red tint paint in light layers until you get the deepness of red you're going for. For the gold I just went with an "antique gold" color paint and airbrushed right over the already existing gold without any sanding anything and it worked/looks fantastic. I prefer my custom over the mezco because of the better paint colors, light up eyes and chest but obviously if I was comparing right out of the box it wouldn't even be a challenge. I love the mezco but man it's definitely among the growing(rapidly) group of mezco figures that don't warrant their prices. So many of their upcoming figures are almost insulting to mezco collectors, like well just buy anything they throw in a box.

Awesome review my friend! Much appreciated! The Legends version for me 👍 ...If only it had a shinier, metallic RED paintjob though. I feel that'd make a huge difference in the 'quality' of the look. I'm suprised I haven't heard any others mention the red...looks plastic and not metal like it could.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how fragiel are the mezco hips 1 being your able to throw it down the stairs and it be ok 10 being it breaks right out of the box and if possible justify your rating
I'm still waiting on half of my 80th ML stuff, so I don't have both in hand but I say Mezco looks better and has a bunch of stuff but the Legends looks good and that head sculpt is nice. It seems like they put a bit more love into these 80th figures. But yeah, Legends are always fun to mess with while most higher end stuff makes me nervous trying anything too crazy. Mezco's are sorta like "action figure statues" in a way to me, they have all this detail, look awesome just standing around but you could pose them around. But I do agree that the Legends works better for most people's collection.
Both are very excellent figures but I personally prefer the Marvel Legends version for its 100% spot on accuracy to the very classic Iron Man design unlike Mezco’s more modern take on it, which I don’t have a problem with at all, I actually like it as well
I do like how Marvel Legends gives a full unmasked Tony Stark head while Mezco has a built in Tony Stark face underneath the mask similar to Toybiz’s Iron Man figures, I think both features are equally great in their own ways
I also really like that Hasbro gives us an interchangeable Alex Ross-inspired helmet sculpt
My only minor complaint with Marvel Legends is the lack of a wrist hinge on the repulsor hands. It’s not a dealbreaker but it would’ve been nice to also be able to have the hands bend down to a normal position

I wanted to know about the height, thinking I might upgrade to the Mezco version which is still reasonable. But the Hasbro 80th is already a little too tall for the other hasbro figures. So thank you again for saving me $100!
I really would like a version with light up features and diecast metal but the Asian produced ones are much too short for a MARVEL LEGENDS, I already had a war machine that I sold. It looks like there is no happy medium.
Although I find this 80th Iron Man to be one of the best looking figures they ever made and the best Iron Man figure ever, the Tony Stark head is huge compared to every other marvel legends head. I put it away. It's a real shame but it's titanic compared to other heads.

I like to think of the Mesko Iron Man as more of a legacy armor that Tony made to look like his classic suit but built it with more modern tech

Good comparison between the two figures! I have both of these figures & they both are good for what they are. The Mezco Iron Man is visually striking but so is the Marvel Legends 80th Iron Man! I will give a slight nod to the 80th Iron Man over the Mezco in the fact it is more comic accurate especially with that GI Joe Duke butt chin "I can crack walnuts with my chin all day, I am a ladies man!" Tony Stark head which looks like he stepped right out of the pages of those classic Marvel Iron Man comic books! I will say it again Hasbro; if you are going to give us this quality and attention to detail for this Marvel Legends Marvel 80th Anniversary figures then bring on the second tier of 80th Anniversary Marvel Legends figures. A classic Dr. Strange would be nice right along with a classic War Machine with a nice Rhodey head for an accessory for starters Hasbro!

Legends, just because you don’t need all the detail like my god, it’s the CLASSIC version, there isn’t any style with it it’s classic
Mezco is the perfect ironman figure, good articulation and amazing paint and die cast metal. Any figure can break or chip so id rather have a better figure in the end.

Make mine mezco. Only thing hasbro has on the mezco is the unmasked Tony Stark head. Only reason I would buy the hasbro iron man is to see how that head fits on the mezco iron man.
The legends stark head looks a lot like Timothy Dalton from the Rocketeer. ..
The Mezco one looks amazing but to pay such a high price and not be able to play with it is a big deal breaker to me…
