Because you asked for it im delivering it. Lets take a open diff 4:30 and install a torsen from a 4:10. Step by step. NOTE this is NOT the right way of doing this but it will work.
You can make a tool to spin those adjusters out of 1/4" X 2" bar stock. Cut the bar stock to the length of the gap between two opposite slots then round off the corners so it fits into the adjuster slots. Clamp on vise grip pliers and you're good to go.

ive done it this way on street car diffs too. works fine. no noise. oh, nvm, just got to the end, you didnt set the bearing pre-load. i do that too. 20 dollar mic.

With NASA and SCCA rules allowing for the removal of the vibration damper on the pinion flange of any of the 1.8L diffs, do you ever do that or see other teams doing that? Not sure if it is worth the time and also know that lash has to be measured if the damper is removed.
I leave it till they fall off and that is very rare.
