    I have same exact truck, not as many tools ( no water tank, generator) its tight ...nice set up...do you use customers water usually ?

    • @LeonPrestigeMobileDetail
      @LeonPrestigeMobileDetail  Год назад

      Thanks! Most of the time we use our water tank since we use filtered water, but unless we run out for whatever reason we ask the customers. We’ve had no issues with them letting us use it regardless of our tank.

    I have a pressure washer,vacume,drill brush. I also have the foam,iron remover,clay bar,sealent, wax, carpet cleaner, window cleaner, interior cleaner. I have brushes for the wheels as well as small brushes for the interior. I have a dressing as well. Do you see anything I would need to get started or that I am missing. I’m starting off by using the customers electric and water.

    • @LeonPrestigeMobileDetail
      @LeonPrestigeMobileDetail  Год назад

      Perfect, always start by using their water and electricity. Usually start with the exterior, which you’ll start with wheels first and it looks like you’re set for that. Then you’ll need your pressure washer, and your pressure washer gun and your foam cannon. Looks like you got that too. You’ll need to use PH neutral shampoo on the cannon and use the two bucket method to hand wash. So two buckets with grids at the bottom and one bucket is full of water and the other is full of your ph soap and water. You’ll need microfiber mitts for the buckets too. Then use a drying aid like “P&S Bead maker” and a large drying towel which I suggest getting from the Rag Company. You already have the iron remover, clay bar and your waxes and sealants so that’s perfect. Then the interior you’re all set with the carpet cleaner and interior detailer. I suggest getting a dedicated leather cleaner and leather brush. Check out our recent video to get started. It’ll go more into depth. But you got pretty much everything just get leather brush and leather cleaner, you didn’t mention buckets or grids so maybe that as well. And a pressure washer gun. Also microfiber mitts and drying towels with drying aid. Hope this helps and the best of luck to you my friend! 👍🏽

      @@LeonPrestigeMobileDetail Yelp I have the microfibers, foam cannon ph neutral car shampoo. I saw that I could use the spray on sealent as a drying aid so I will be using that. It’s like pjs bead maker but made my turtle wax. I have the drying towel as well. All I need is the two buckets and I have the guards for the bottom of them. All I need help on is pricing because I’m new but I know I can do a very good job. Thanks for the help

    What are some methods you use to advertise/find work when starting out or in general?

    • @LeonPrestigeMobileDetail
      @LeonPrestigeMobileDetail  Год назад

      When starting out I suggest telling family and friends. Any people you might know from work, events, school, or anywhere social. This way you’re not talking to complete strangers and you don’t waste a single dollar in marketing. I still do this as well as other ways such as SEO and social media. Once you get going, it can change depending your location, your competition, and the type of customers you’re looking for. This will be the most crucial part of your business so try to do your very best in every detail so you can get those customers coming back to you and recommending you.

    Interesting, could you elaborate on how or what was causing the hoses to get damaged on the reel? Been wanting to get one myself.

    • @LeonPrestigeMobileDetail
      @LeonPrestigeMobileDetail  Год назад +2

      They take up space leaving me with no option than to stack stuff over them and that bends and damages them over time. I’m talking abt the green hoses that connect the water tank to the pressure washer. It’s easier and safer to connect and disconnect before and after each detail so I stick with that for now. For the reel, I use quick connects and it’s retractable and very compact so it’s one of my favorite things at the moment. It doesn’t get damaged at all. I recommend that one.

    Top of the line equipment but that set up is ass backwards being honest. Try fitting the mighty in the backseat, then push the water tank all the way to the back and strap down for safety. All hoses need to be quickly accessible upon opening tailgate. Awsome vid thanks for sharing.

    • @LeonPrestigeMobileDetail
      @LeonPrestigeMobileDetail  Год назад

      Thanks for your opinion! We used to put the extractor in the back seat but the only issue is that the backseat gets used up by one person and the rest is taken by our bag of chemicals, Milwaukee vacuum, container of tools, and sometimes the bag of dirty towels after the detail. So that’s why we had to put it in the back. Second, the topper in the bed has medal rods in the very back and our water tank is too tall even with the cap off so we can’t push it further than it is in the video. That leaves us with space behind it and we try using it by putting the air Compressor since it’s heavy and we don’t want to be moving it around to reach other stuff. The hoses we used to leave them connected but they take up space and they get damaged. In theory your way sounds great, and that was my initial way as well but it never worked. I’m working to get a bed shell but very pricey and the set up I have now gets the jobs done so I won’t be wasting over $5,000 just to make it look better. Thanks for the support tho!
