My parents were catholics, protestantism started when my mom became a baptist and had the point of view of a protestant christian but she's gone long ago when I was still a kid... Right now I have found the truth about catholic faith, truly there's one, holy, catholic (universal) and apostolic church founded by Jesus Christ. I'm so blessed too to be part of the Catholic family I'm a freshly baptized catholic in October 1 this year. I'm so excited to receive more sacraments to come such as my confirmation, confession, communion, etc... But still even if I'm catholic love must still extend to the non-catholics... As He has said in His teachings: Love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you! ❤❤

Unfortunately, anything that is outside of the Word of God is of men. All of the Marian teachings elevated Mary to a place the Bible does not give her. She rejoiced in "God my savior." She recognized her need for salvation, which means she knew she had sin. Nowhere in Scripture does it indicate that Mary was assumed into heaven and then crowned queen of heaven. I was raised Catholic, but then began seriously studying God's word. For as much of an investigator that Candace is, she has obviously only used the Bible as one of many resources to make her conversion decision. The Bible is the only book that should matter.

I had started researching Catholicism just weeks before the debate between George Farmer and Allie Beth Stuckey premiered because my husband is Catholic. That debate was a turning point for me, as well. It made me realize how weak the argument is for Protestantism and I realized for the first time that Catholicism actually made sense. In fact, there were times I actually got frustrated with Allie Beth's arguments. By the time the debate was over my jaw had dropped and I just thought, "Wow...the Catholics are right about everything." It made sense then why they believe in asking for intercessional prayer from the saints, something I thought I would never be able to understand or believe.That debate changed me from, "I'm just curious about Catholicism" like Candace had been, to having a full-on quest for the Truth. And I kept finding it in Catholicism, not Protestantism. I discovered every crazy misconception about Catholics I had always believed was just that. Thank God for Candace and that debate! I believe He used her and her husband to help educate thousands and help bring them closer to Him.
Hmm... to each his own. I still believe that Jesus is the only way, the truth and the life. For me I always go to Him first, asking Him my questions directly and He always answers. Don't get me wrong Catholics do have some good things happening but when you look at the history of all the various changes in their doctrines that are made to suit the times of the different periods. For e.g. there was a reason for priests not getting married and it had to do with the church lands not being transferred to their children. Just saying.

Doctrines cannot be changed, ie the divinity of Christ, the Resurrection, the real presence of Jesus in the eucharist, and the authority of the pope. Disciplines however can be changed based on circumstances, like priestly celibacy. Eastern Catholic Churches for example have married priests. While the Church has faced challenges over the centuries, its core beliefs have remained constant. The Church continues to point people to Christ, just as it has since the Apostles. We Catholics also believe that Jesus is the only way, the truth and the life. Ultimately, Catholicism embraces the fullness of truth found in Catholicism and Sacred Tradition.

Perhaps because I have always seen everything through the eyes of a practicing Catholic. I attended catholic religious education and received all my sacraments. I was never ostracized about my faith in public school and as an adult I have taught religious education to children attending public schools. Catholics teaching Catholics and we cannot depend on the public schools to teach our faith history. The government will teach the wrongs of all history to help ensure the wrong does not reoccur. We do not have to own the wrongs but we must learn from them.
Words can’t touch how my heart and soul feel after hearing this from Candace. Capital T truth. I recently have come to Jesus through Protestantism. Only one month as a Christian and my heart has been unsettled wanting a deeper relationship with Jesus. Little seeds have been planted in me and after hearing this it is official. I will now pursue the conversion to Catholicism.

Regarding the book of revelation he said that he does not find anything apostolic or prophetic in this book. He commissioned rude paintings of the pope of that time and got it published ( is that the conduct of a holy man ….a man inspired by God ?). When he blessed people he would say " May the Lord fill you with his blessing and hatred for the pope. ( Is that a blessing ? Or a curse?) On marriage he said that marriage is mandatory ….that woman was not created to be a wife but to beget children they only serve for marriage or prostitution. He allowed prince Phillip to have 2 wives and justified it based on the bible and when people found out…. he lied and said that one was his concubine and not his wife. He loved the virgin Mary and said she was the tender mother of God ….in his dining room He had the crucifix and and image of Mary holding the infant Jesus . My wife and I are Protestant and started the RCIA now for 5 weeks. WE read the early church father and made us not Catholic. The early church father never pray rosary, wear a brown scapular for Mary, prayers for intercessor between 100-200ad and praying people out of purgatory plus, more prayers and attendance to church go short their stay in purgatory. The early church fathers had the Eucharist right, helping one another, giving to the poor and etc. The early church father did mention Mary the new EVE but never said she was sinless or he assumption. There not a church that perfect in Protestantism either. I believe the Catholic church started out great but like must churches things get added to Jesus, Peter, and all the Apostles teaching on how to serve God. I love the Catholic people and yes they are saved too but some of their ways of worship is a little off for me. Glad you are serving the Lord.

Pray for me and my daughter’s journeys. After receiving all the sacraments, going to Catholic School, and being altar servers, my daughters’ fallen away. I know that they have their own journeys and relationship with Jesus Christ. I also know this is not a unique experience and happens to many, but I would humbly request everyone’s prayers for my family (Chelly and Sammy), the church, and everyone’s journey.

As a true follower of Christ you DO do good deeds and works, whether you want to acknowledge that or not, and that is what helps strengthen relationship with God that gets you into heaven. Please don't feel sorry for me. I was Catholic for 35 years and never discovered how important it was to read the bible and seek God's face every day! I didn't find the joy of the Lord until I left the church and became protestant. So we all have our journey, our path to Christ and Christianity. It is not grace alone nor is it belief alone. We are called to respond to the graces given...that response is a work...as love is a work:+) Examples below: 1) Our Lord said many would call Him "Lord, Lord..." but His reply would be "I do not know you, Depart from Me." Thus faith/belief in Christ is not enough. Even the demons believe that Christ is God but look where they are. 2) Our Lord specifically notes in His description of the Final Judgement what exactly separates the people from the right and the left: WORKS. 3) St. James wrote in Scripture: "faith without works is dead." 4) Our Lord said that the greatest commandment was to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, spirit and soul. He then said that if we loved Him we would follow His commands. All works. 5) Yes, the Cross opened up heaven for us. But as St. Paul himself said "we have to WORK out our salvation in fear and trembling." Work...work...work...work. The grace isn't from us. We cannot do ANYTHING to open heaven, that is what Christ did. But we are called to respond to the grace with our love. And our love requires a work of response, of service, of faithfulness. You cannot call yourself a Christian and then go shoot up a gas station. St. Paul lists all of things we can do to not enter heaven. And yes, the Early Church believed all of this. Martin Luther held to the Eucharist, Mary dogmas and many other apostolic beliefs. Todays Protestantism is just a community of people it’s not a church. Well next door of the apartment complex happened to be where their aunt lived, and they invited me to a Lutheran church. Where i was sprinkle baptized. During this four year eascapade, my dad got half custody, and i traveled back and forth. My mom started going to church. My Dad went to drunken marine to Christian overnight. With my mom, we went to sunday school and then church, and that was the week. During summer with my dad, it was church on saturday, including resting with God from friday sundown to saturday sundown. Where we read from the bible and other non sechular works. All the sudden when i went to sunday school with my mom and all my friends, i started giving all the answers to questions. Well puberty hit and it was go to dads where we lived far from town and had few friends or stay with mom where most of my friends were and we lived in town. So i stayed and played sports and worked at a restraunt. My mom met my step dad, and we all became catholic and in 7th grade, I started catechism classes. I was bad with the catechism book but still remembered my bible answers and even read at nights. Once high school hit, it was sunday church wednesday catechism. school, all year-round sports, all year-round work,and a social life all in a week. Then it happened junior year. A couple of coworkers/ classmates were leaving early while i finished counting down the tills. They said they were off to party. I asked why i wasn't invited. They looked at each other and said we always thought you were the curch type. In my second denial of my lif, i said no i party. Why would you think im the church type? They again looked at each other and said, "Because you knew all the bible questions." I said well yeah but i party." There it goes on to sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Till heartbreak set in with a big dose of hopeless. I cried out to God, and he answered. Got me out of my mess and set me on my feet. Getting back to jesus was all i needed. Then the fire set in my heart blazing to tell the truth, but i was blessed to have known that an early convert tends to over salt. So then began the study. I already loved history, so I dove into college lectures like the many others. and sucked up all the history i could. But something was missing. I went a stray in my work. Started doubting. Then dove into scripture and with the history behind it. And with the Holy Spirit working on overtime to correct my misteps. I saw the bible from a whole new light finally seeing why it's calling the living word of God. You can read it a hundred times and find a new connection between the old and New Testaments and how you need both. Hard season after hard season came as satan became furious with my truth finding. Like all but Jesus, my strength wained. That's when i started reading all the religions. I was born in the western world, and propaganda is a thing. Lets try them all. Went through the writings of Buddha, Mohamed , confusion, toaism, it all led me to christianity hands down. No doubt can be made to me about it. Ill debate any challengers with the holy spirits in my mouth and jesus in my heart who has all the power of the father. Now catholicism or protestantism. I know both sides. My moms half 50+ catholics one a priest. Dads side 50+ protestants many are deacons. From my studies, believe it or not, it comes down to do you hold the traditions of a man outside the bible as truth( that goes for many protestant religions and catholicism) or do you hold Gods traditions as truth. My response is as Joshua twenty-four fifteen. And if it seems evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day who ye will serve the god of your fathers or god of the amorites( mens traditions over gods) but for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Right now I have found the truth about catholic faith, truly there's one, holy, catholic (universal) and apostolic church founded by Jesus Christ. I'm so blessed too to be part of the Catholic family I'm a freshly baptized catholic in October 1 this year. I'm so excited to receive more sacraments to come such as my confirmation, confession, communion, etc...

Unfortunately, anything that is outside of the Word of God is of men. All of the Marian teachings elevated Mary to a place the Bible does not give her. She rejoiced in "God my savior." She recognized her need for salvation, which means she knew she had sin. Nowhere in Scripture does it indicate that Mary was assumed into heaven and then crowned queen of heaven. I was raised Catholic, but then began seriously studying God's word. For as much of an investigator that Candace is, she has obviously only used the Bible as one of many resources to make her conversion decision. The Bible is the only book that should matter.

I had started researching Catholicism just weeks before the debate between George Farmer and Allie Beth Stuckey premiered because my husband is Catholic. That debate was a turning point for me, as well. It made me realize how weak the argument is for Protestantism and I realized for the first time that Catholicism actually made sense. In fact, there were times I actually got frustrated with Allie Beth's arguments. By the time the debate was over my jaw had dropped and I just thought, "Wow...the Catholics are right about everything." It made sense then why they believe in asking for intercessional prayer from the saints, something I thought I would never be able to understand or believe.That debate changed me from, "I'm just curious about Catholicism" like Candace had been, to having a full-on quest for the Truth. And I kept finding it in Catholicism, not Protestantism. I discovered every crazy misconception about Catholics I had always believed was just that. Thank God for Candace and that debate! I believe He used her and her husband to help educate thousands and help bring them closer to Him.

Hmm... to each his own. I still believe that Jesus is the only way, the truth and the life. For me I always go to Him first, asking Him my questions directly and He always answers. Don't get me wrong Catholics do have some good things happening but when you look at the history of all the various changes in their doctrines that are made to suit the times of the different periods. For e.g. there was a reason for priests not getting married and it had to do with the church lands not being transferred to their children.

Disciplines however can be changed based on circumstances, like priestly celibacy. Eastern Catholic Churches for example have married priests. While the Church has faced challenges over the centuries, its core beliefs have remained constant. The Church continues to point people to Christ, just as it has since the Apostles. We Catholics also believe that Jesus is the only way, the truth and the life. Ultimately, Catholicism embraces the fullness of truth found in Catholicism and Sacred Tradition.

Perhaps because I have always seen everything through the eyes of a practicing Catholic. I attended catholic religious education and received all my sacraments. I was never ostracized about my faith in public school and as an adult I have taught religious education to children attending public schools. Catholics teaching Catholics and we cannot depend on the public schools to teach our faith history. The government will teach the wrongs of all history to help ensure the wrong does not reoccur. We do not have to own the wrongs but we must learn from them.

My wife and I are Protestant and started the RCIA now for 5 weeks. WE read the early church father and made us not Catholic. The early church father never pray rosary, wear a brown scapular for Mary, prayers for intercessor between 100-200ad and praying people out of purgatory plus, more prayers and attendance to church go short their stay in purgatory. The early church fathers had the Eucharist right, helping one another, giving to the poor and etc. The early church father did mention Mary the new EVE but never said she was sinless or he assumption. There not a church that perfect in Protestantism either. I believe the Catholic church started out great but like must churches things get added to Jesus, Peter, and all the Apostles teaching on how to serve God.
I love the Catholic people and yes they are saved too but some of their ways of worship is a little off for me. Glad you are serving the Lord.

Pray for me and my daughter’s journeys. After receiving all the sacraments, going to Catholic School, and being altar servers, my daughters’ fallen away. I know that they have their own journeys and relationship with Jesus Christ. I'm a 21-year-old recently converted Brazilian and until 18 minutes into the video I realized that she spoke with a lot of doubt about life situations, she also spoke about the evil of socialism (this gave me the impression that she is a left-wing politician ), but then she says that Marxism is also an evil, that shocked me, few people are really intellectually honest (at least in my country) for that, and then with her husband's dialogue, it was another shock, it made me To think that I went through the same journey, from an unconscious Marxist, to a potential libertarian, to being a true Christian, to reaching the Christianity of the Roman Catholic Church, there are so many steps, choices and doubts to complete this journey, which I can say with certainty , many study but deviate from the truth, only divine grace could take us so far from worldly matters and so close to God!

You stand Gulty as Charged and have the death penalty. Sin is an archery term and it means to miss the perfect bullseye. Miss even a tiny bit and you have sinned. Look at God's Law and you will know you are a sinner.

It is not grace alone nor is it belief alone. We are called to respond to the graces given...that response is a work...as love is a work:+) Examples below:
1) Our Lord said many would call Him "Lord, Lord..." but His reply would be "I do not know you, Depart from Me." Thus faith/belief in Christ is not enough. Even the demons believe that Christ is God but look where they are.
2) Our Lord specifically notes in His description of the Final Judgement what exactly separates the people from the right and the left: WORKS.
3) St. James wrote in Scripture: "faith without works is dead."
4) Our Lord said that the greatest commandment was to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, spirit and soul. He then said that if we loved Him we would follow His commands. All works.
5) Yes, the Cross opened up heaven for us. But as St. Paul himself said "we have to WORK out our salvation in fear and trembling." Work...work...work...work.
The grace isn't from us. We cannot do ANYTHING to open heaven, that is what Christ did. But we are called to respond to the grace with our love. And our love requires a work of response, of service, of faithfulness. You cannot call yourself a Christian and then go shoot up a gas station. St. Paul lists all of things we can do to not enter heaven. And yes, the Early Church believed all of this. This is a fair assessment. I went to a Protestant Church and the atmosphere just didn’t feel Holy, sacred you know? I did like the friendly people and the teaching. They were sincere. A fallen away Catholic friend joined it. He said he wasn’t getting anything out of the Catholic Mass. I thought, maybe it isn’t about us.

Protestants don’t have apostolic succession, they don’t have the Eucharist, or anything. Protestantism today is exactly how Candace described it, it’s far off from what even the reformers believed. Martin Luther held to the Eucharist, Mary dogmas and many other apostolic beliefs. Todays Protestantism is just a community of people it’s not a church. I was born without a religion. My mom took me from my dad and traveled with my younger sister halfway across the country. My best friends in school starting out were a couple of twins, who i still talk to today. Well next door of the apartment complex happened to be where their aunt lived, and they invited me to a Lutheran church. Where i was sprinkle baptized. During this four year eascapade, my dad got half custody, and i traveled back and forth. My mom started going to church. My Dad went to drunken marine to Christian overnight. With my mom, we went to sunday school and then church, and that was the week. During summer with my dad, it was church on saturday, including resting with God from friday sundown to saturday sundown. Where we read from the bible and other non sechular works. All the sudden when i went to sunday school with my mom and all my friends, i started giving all the answers to questions. Well puberty hit and it was go to dads where we lived far from town and had few friends or stay with mom where most of my friends were and we lived in town. So i stayed and played sports and worked at a restraunt. My mom met my step dad, and we all became catholic and in 7th grade, I started catechism classes. I was bad with the catechism book but still remembered my bible answers and even read at nights. Once high school hit, it was sunday church wednesday catechism. school, all year-round sports, all year-round work,and a social life all in a week. Then it happened junior year. A couple of coworkers/ classmates were leaving early while i finished counting down the tills. They said they were off to party. I asked why i wasn't invited. They looked at each other and said we always thought you were the curch type. In my second denial of my lif, i said no i party. Why would you think im the church type? They again looked at each other and said, "Because you knew all the bible questions." I said well yeah but i party." There it goes on to sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Till heartbreak set in with a big dose of hopeless. I cried out to God, and he answered. Got me out of my mess and set me on my feet. Getting back to jesus was all i needed. Then the fire set in my heart blazing to tell the truth, but i was blessed to have known that an early convert tends to over salt. So then began the study. I already loved history, so I dove into college lectures like the many others. and sucked up all the history i could. But something was missing. I went a stray in my work. Started doubting. Then dove into scripture and with the history behind it. And with the Holy Spirit working on overtime to correct my misteps. I saw the bible from a whole new light finally seeing why it's calling the living word of God. You can read it a hundred times and find a new connection between the old and New Testaments and how you need both. Hard season after hard season came as satan became furious with my truth finding. Like all but Jesus, my strength wained. That's when i started reading all the religions. I was born in the western world, and propaganda is a thing. Lets try them all. Went through the writings of Buddha, Mohamed , confusion, toaism, it all led me to christianity hands down. No doubt can be made to me about it. Ill debate any challengers with the holy spirits in my mouth and jesus in my heart who has all the power of the father. Now catholicism or protestantism. I know both sides. My moms half 50+ catholics one a priest. Dads side 50+ protestants many are deacons. From my studies, believe it or not, it comes down to do you hold the traditions of a man outside the bible as truth( that goes for many protestant religions and catholicism) or do you hold Gods traditions as truth. My response is as Joshua twenty-four fifteen. And if it seems evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day who ye will serve the god of your fathers or god of the amorites( mens traditions over gods) but for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
