I really enjoyed your videos ! I am wondering if more variety and diversity by having converts from Orthodoxy and other faiths like Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam etc
Thanks a lot !
Great point! I will certainly look for those. God bless.
@@CatholicReCon Perhaps can consider Catholic converts of other races too - I don't mean to play the race card here but instead it would show the universalism of Catholicity and its richness. Suan Sonna is perhaps a good consideration though he has been interviewed in Pints with Aquinas re his Baptist conversion to Catholicism. He is now becoming more renowned for his apologetics re the papacy. He has a channel Intellectual Conservatism. Thanks !
I COMPLETELY understand. And I agree. I would love to feature someone from every country, trust me.
I just saw photos of a chapel in Antarctica! Our Lady of the Snows. Amazing. Maybe I can find a convert down there. Ha!
FANTASTIC episode!!!
Thank you Guardian Angel of Devon Rose! What a beautiful soul for The Kingdom!
Jesuuuus. Amen brother.
We need to connect soon brother.
What a great guest this week. Thanks
thanks!
Thank you and your guest- always a learning experience to hear the journey of others as they come Home🙏🏼💙
Great job Devin. Really enjoyed this. You are so funny and relatable.
Thank you. I read his book.
I am a reconverted Catholic, God intervened when I attended an Anglican Church after a divorce, when I thought I would be no longer welcome to be a Catholic. The intervention was powerful and it had the effect that as you stated, he gradually presented me with all the information I needed. It took 20 years of searching….. and then I was found. Glory to God! Now everything makes sense…… I loved your story!
I watched Devin's conversion story on The Journey Home - great to see he's still an on fire Catholic.
Wow, Eddie, what a clickbait title! :) I'll watch first thing I can. And yes, I was fine last time you asked, now we're sick, so please pray for us. My son is very feverish. :(
prayers for you all!
Saint Thérèse, at age 12, had MEMORIZED “The Imitation of Christ”! I gave each of my grandchildren a copy and just bought myself another copy.❤️
Awesome; we got our children copies last Christmas+
Devin, I am so impress with your discovery of the Catholic Church. I OVE YOUR MESSAGE
These 52 minutes went so fast. I could listen you both for more hours... Thank you 🙏🏽♥️
Glad you enjoyed it!
I read this comment before I started watching the episode. I completely agree with you! Great conversation snd that just flew by!
@@MC-ln9dj thank you for tagging me here, i m gonna watch it again... For the 3rd time! 😅😅😂😂😂
@@Joliebebe2001 lol! Yes!!! Enjoy! 🌹🌹🌹
RCIA GRADUATES: I believe it is true that many people who enter the Church, later leave the church. One really needs to be an “intentional Catholic”, meaning that one must take charge of learning the faith and following the Commandments and precepts. 🙏
It's funny (not haha, but you know) how many intelligent atheists end up in the Church. It seems to me that the biggest pitfall for those who don't, is Pride. I know that was true of me for a while. Thank you Devin, for sharing your story. Please pray for my dear friends who are beautiful, intelligent people but don't see the Truth of God and His Mercy.
100% agree with your comment about pride. I just left a comment about the passage he quotes from Matthew; when I learned and verified that in the whole New Testament Jesus only ONCE asks directly that we learn something from him, what he asks is humbleness and patience of heart. I’m not saying Jesus is not showing us a hundred other things that we should learn like love, compassion, etc but there’s a reason he is so direct about those two. That passage triggered Devin because it connected with his anxiety and the light joke, but the passage gem is Jesus asking us to connect with humbleness of heart, which it probably touched Devin even without him realizing it.
Great interview!
God bless Devin and Eddie. I keep learning wirh these videos
He set the bar high for interviewees!
I do think the TLM is the most reverent, and THAT helps all the congregants!
Loved the testimony & as usual several doubts concerning my journey to the CC were clarified. Tu Devon
Great episode guys! Thank you!
At minute 10:41 that passage has been so helpful to me too. It is Mathew 11 28-30 is the only place in the New Testament where Jesus directly instructs us to learn something specific from him. He asks two things humbleness and patience. The greek word used for humbleness has many possible translations but all are beautiful humbleness, meekness, docility, softness. I’ve stayed so long in that passage. I looked up the meaning of yoke and how many times have been used in the bible, of all the connections of yoke with the Old testament the one I like best is 1 King 12 Rehoboam son of Salomon, from the same line of Jesus.
Sadly you are correct; no need to apologize. The longer you go to Catholic school, the more I’ll-informed you are. Tragically so many of us who went agree: go to Catholic school and lose your faith. JMJ, bring them back+
Really enjoyed the dialogue. It's interesting that Matthew 11 - "My burden is light" was a key verse in your conversion, and yet you settled on a denomination that seems quite burdensome. I suppose some people need that extra structure in their lives.
My concern with institutional Christianity is that some groups fall into the 'we are the only true church' type thinking, and lose sight of the big picture. It's my understanding that RCC and EO no longer take that stance. Hope that's true. God be with you in your journey.
How would a former athiest turned Catholic respond to the common trope that Christianity is a "bunch of fairytales"?
You could try a socratic approach, asking "by what standard do you judge whether something is true or false, fact or fairytale?" This would at least get the other person thinking about their position. Better to ask a question than to end up in a vacuum of questions at the onset. Just one approach, of course.
Good to see you, David.
@CatholicReCon thanks for the response!

Only My Opinion
Ask yourself, are you following the Bible and Yashuah (Jesus) OR THE POPE, and all their contradictions and doctrines.
Yep. We all asked that question on our journeys. The Church is the pillar and foundation of truth.
Lady you do realise that Christians did not have a Canon of the Bible until the 4th Century right? Its like don’t even listen to the interviews, but just jump straight into the comments. Its sad.
