  • I was offered a Bluetooth dongle to review by Inateck and I jumped at the chance. I have tried several dongles and they all crapped out my computer, presumably for incompatibility reasons. Bluetooth is an unfortunately touchy technology as the drivers have really sucked for a lot of years.
So I was quite surprised when the dongle just worked. Fully integrated itself into WIndows 8.1 and allowed my to pair up an Inateck keyboard (great little item as well, Apple style but works just great on Windows and on my Android Galaxy S4), my Android phone, and my Avantree Bluetooth Headset. I tested the headset for music using RDIO and for calls using Skype. Worked fine.
I have to say that the dongle has surpassed my expectations.

I am looking for something like this for my laptop that does not have Bluetooth. I want to know if I can use my cell phone
Bluetooth earbud with this device for use with skype. My goal is to have wireless bluetooth using my Bluetooth
earbud that I normally use with my cell phone on my laptop with skype. Do you think this will work?

+Ken You can hook up keyboards, headsets and speakers. All the usual devices. So your bluetooth headset should work. I got a Bluetooth headset to work, but it was not earbud type. No idea if there is any salient difference, for what that is worth.

+Kim Letkeman I have a bluetooth earbud I use for my cell phone. Should it work with it allowing me
to speak and listen on skype with the dongle in my PC ? What kind of range are you getting with it?
      thanks, Ken
