Would love to see a concept version of this blaster. Taking the styling cues from the original, bring it up to the 21st century and beyond.

Pretty easy really, the pistol in essence is a sawn off rifle with a bolt action arm instead of a simple priming handle. The fictional pistol isnt a revolver and only has it in this design because the real working prop was a revolver placed inside a particular hunting rifle that I cant recall the name of.

Awhile back you gave me a name of a company that will turn this prop into metal for me. Thank you Punished

Looks great. I am Finishing my parts Now. Can you make up a kit of the screws needed so that I don't need to order several hundred screws to finish my blaster? ala what Volpin did for the Samaritan kits?

Thanks Bill, That colour scheme , you should detail it as a spinner . I appreciate the built (not the wide angle view though , hard to make out the intricate detail)

@punishedprops Should I resin print the top part with lettering? I don't have a laser cutter for it.

I bought your blade runner gun 3D files and i just wanted to know if the rod in the handle has to be threaded.

Bill, how did you design the handle grips? I tried several times in Fusion 360. I ended up modeling it in chavant and printing the knurling. Then made molds and cast them in epoxy. Also what printing material did you use for the grips?

Is it possible to take your 3d printed files and use them to make metal versions of all of the parts?

Thanks for doing this, very excited to try this project myself. The parts list includes LEDs, but your video doesn't indicate where they go or how power is routed to them. Any chance we could get info on that?

Glad you liked the video! I'll see if we can do a quick tutorial on the LED setup.

We threw together the lights with what we had lying around. We've updated the original build post with some additional information on the LEDs here: punishedprops.com/2018/09/04/blade-runner-reimagined/

Would this work to print each part in Resin, rather than ABS?

how did you learn to include hardware/mechanisms into your 3d modeling process?

Through a lot of trial and error. I also watch a wide assortment of machining videos on channels like This Old Tony, Clickspring, and Tubalcain.
