Yeah, I loved both Batman Arkham Knight and Spider-Man because of that, they were big, beautiful but also contained, nothing ever felt like ''Oh no, it's so far, this is going to suck...'', because the city's locations were always reasonably reachable and it's always awesome to move around in those games!

Yup. They are all so detailed and beautiful and vast now, I spend as much time zooming in to ants scurrying up a tree in horizon as I do completing missions. I got the platinum in that and I still go back to that world all the time
I used to think we peaked in Skyrim - but I have seen so many breathtaking sunsets in The Witcher 3, GR Wildllands, AC Odyssey, Tomb Raider, The Division, Destiny that I think I'll be sorely disappointed with the real one, assuming I ever find the time again to go out.
Also to be fair to Skyrim it came out back in 2011, at one point it probably was the peak. However with the years passing now that peak has risen, thanks to technology advancing mostly. Skyrim is still beautiful though. I gotta say though I think HZD is the most beautiful, at least to me it is. Rob's description of Horizon Zero Dawn is spot on me. 😂 Had to get my first platinum on from it.
This channel is such a breath of fresh air. The writing is superior to any other gaming channel and the humor is classy and witty. The music is nostalgic and fitting for the overall mood of the show. Great job everyone.
I remember when there were like 2 or 3 great games per year. Now I feel like there’s twenty or more amazing game coming per year, I just shake my head.
Last week I had a couple of days off work so I sat down to a rdr2 marathon , I started 9am and headed off for a mission , the next evening at 7 pm I realized I never did that mission (or any others ) I had been sidetracked for a full day and half gaming , at 45 this shouldn't happen , what a thing of beauty rdr2 really is

Tetris Effect is the best looking game this gen, possibly ever. No, I'm not being ironic. Tetris Effect has mesmerized me like no other game has before. It's like an interactive piece of art, and it's stunning at every turn.
No mention of the Fog in Red Dead? That is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen in a game. I don't know about it on the Playstation, but on PC that game is stunning. The way the environment reflects the light from the sun, it breathtaking, makes it look so much better.
Well Rob, you beat me. It took me 1 hour and 22 minutes, with a 30 minute break to eat, in order to defeat the adamantoise, but I bloody did it and I did it old school, with a truck load of potions and a polearm!

Rdr2.. the scenery, the ambiance.. the characters.. the animals.. its all so beautifull. Riding through mountains and plains. The game is just so big.. and theres fishing.. oo een lake or river.. lets throw out a line.. and chill for about an hour lol taken photos of fishing at early dawn and full moons. I love this game
Idea for a Friday feature! "7 times extra areas in games made us rip out hair out." Mine personally is crash bandicoot 2: cortex strikes back on ps1. Doing the optional death routes and hidden areas to get all the colored gems was infuriating!

To be honest FO4 was close to the point where higher res graphics don't matter. The more intricately detailed maps are the more processing power it takes to render, etc, etc... and at some point players just don't notice.

my little brother's friend finished the story of RDR2 already. when he told me, i was just like, "but how?" he played 14 hours a day. "yeah, but... he must have just powered through missions and not like... done anything..." he has 100% completion "yeah but did he try on all the hats and come up with a good name for the horse and just ride around looking badass, and hang out with john marston and bother uncle and etc etc etc?
Shadow of the Colossus, skyrim, Kingdom come deliverance, any far cry games especially number 2, resident evil 7 and I'd say GTA 5 could have honourable mentions I'd say

It's because it's not as good as dragon age origins, which is very hard, it's still a good game though
