I was literally about to comment about that shitass picture of Michael Jackson, thank you for also bringing attention to it so we can all have the fun of knowing the origin of one of these spooky images!
“Their face looks unnatural, they give off a bad smell, they cause feelings of anxiety, they are looking at you closely” For real that’s literally just me
And for the part two, I'm pretty sure the dialogue is from another analog game. Particularly the one about the child. I want to say the Mandela Catalogs?
This has happened with countless Internet things before though. Creepypastas, SCP Foundation, Backrooms. Analog Horror is just following that trend. I'm sure I'm missing some things (Siren Head, maybe?)
Analogue horror and backrooms got absolutely ruined by over saturation and the constant need to one up itself and completely lose any feat factor due to forcing it.
@@pitaden5620 thank you! I was having Deja Vu wondering if Mark was playing it again for a second time. They also literally ripped dialog from the Mandela Catalogue
I think we've all watched enough analogue horror to be able to say that sometimes you need to lay off on the direct 'warnings' as such mentioned at the start of this game. The goal is to cause discomfort, but crude comments like that are going to cause the player to become immediately grounded. Obviously there are many other problems with the game but just wanted to point this out.
Specially considering the amount of times they said it 💀 didn't even finish the video yet and they already said that like 3-4 times, it's just starting to feel like they're trying to convert me into a christian
@@LunaroseClaire You *believe* but you don't quite know. It's a possibility but I doubt it's something Markiplier would do or would even *need* to do. It's not as if he's a new channel starting out, he's popular enough. Plus he does have videos where the game is properly labeled.
I kinda wish more games would just use their native language. I just think it'd sound more natural than trying to force a different language. This being my assumption though, that the dev's native language is not english. Also, this whole thing kinda just feels like a rehash of other analogue horror games. Especially the 911 call. I checked the comments to confirm if it was just my imagination, but no, it seems like that entire scene was borderline ripped from another game.
Well it's possible with the very end having a "Stop the War in Ukraine" at the bottom that this might've been done in English on purpose to help raise money?
I like a certain detail of the "good end". Early in the test, at 3:28, there's a tip about recognizing "them", which is that they watch people closely. In the "good end", we can hear corrupted audio and concerning photos or visuals, and learn at 15:17 that "they" have probably taken control of the test, during a pause, followed with instructions as praying to God. And at 16:40, the last message ends with "now we can watch them more closely ! See you later ;)" and more distorted audio of laughter. Could this mean you actually helped them disguise better, and they plan on coming to get you later, because you're able to notice them well and, once useless, might be a danger to them ? The "good end" might just be from your point of view, at first. With better voice acting for the 911 scenes, and a bit more content, this game could become wonderful.
the pictures of the “longeyes” are so visually terrifying, especially the pictures near the end of chapter 2 I had to actually cover the pictures with my fingers
The atmosphere is creepy and unsettling enough, but like a lot of people said, I I have issue with the voices. Maybe it'd be better if there was no voice acting in the game, that would add to the tension, especially because the voices sounded pretty lifeless and flat.
Analogue horror is cool and genuinely freaky, but my problem is how bland all of voices in them sound. Like you don't need to be and excellent voice actor or anything, but every game/video I've seen just has the most emotionless characters trying to tell me that they're afraid of what they see or that they're concerned about something
Not that I disagree, but it's worth pointing out that most of these games are mimicking how actual training videos were in the 70s and '80s. Having watched way too many of them in my life, the people reading them are emotionless. In a way, I think it helps with the horror because it's not the emotional reaction You're Expecting
Wow, Mark always breaks the youtube boundaries, he didnt have to add a short horror expierince with a hidden trailer to a completly random video, but he still did, because that is the kind of stuff he does and why he will always be one of my favourite youtubers
I have two things to say 1. Mark conditioned like 80% of his fanbase into responding to the title of captain and I think that's too much power tbh 1. Timestamp?
Seeing that our senior partner had such broken and confusing english when before that the game didn't have such errors, I immediately thought "oh! our partner is actually a mimic, isn't it?", glad the bad end stated that! It was a nice detail to catch early on

So thank you, really, you've inspired me not only to better myself, but to do things my grandpa would be proud of me for. Right now im currently saving money to become a firefighter, and along the way I plan on getting my ems training aswell so I can save those who can't help themselves.
I also didn't really like how often the narrator would come back just to say 'they're coming for you!!!' Like damn, leave some ambiguity in, wouldja?

The Michael Jackson thing had me cackling and so did the voice acting

The sound of Mark rubbing his chin, is a calming asmr to listen to at this very stressful video.
Analogue horror is cool and genuinely freaky, but my problem is how bland all of voices in them sound. Like you don't need to be and excellent voice actor or anything, but every game/video I've seen just has the most emotionless characters trying to tell me that they're afraid of what they see or that they're concerned about something
True, the vcs need either advice or more work, or just a complete change. They have a good idea with this though
These kinds of games would work better with a text to speech player rather than actual voice acting.
Not that I disagree, but it's worth pointing out that most of these games are mimicking how actual training videos were in the 70s and '80s. Having watched way too many of them in my life, the people reading them are emotionless. In a way, I think it helps with the horror because it's not the emotional reaction You're Expecting
16:24 isn't even scary, those faces look so goofy
Perfect example of turning a simple uncanny valley affect into a actual nightmare
Wow, Mark always breaks the youtube boundaries, he didnt have to add a short horror expierince with a hidden trailer to a completly random video, but he still did, because that is the kind of stuff he does and why he will always be one of my favourite youtubers
