Do you have the best videos out there? I believe I’ve learned a lot from you. Good old country boy.
Dale u giving me turkey fever already lol
I keep it year round i love it
starting turkey hunting in 1980 and still learning more ever year !! learn alot now from you thank you for all you do for turkey hunters
Thanks for the confidence booster Dale. Always good words
The shaking hits me after I make the shot
Got to know your gun and patter as well. You can't let em get to close you miss that way as well. Thanks for passing the knowledge this is priceless info. Keep them videos coming. They started gobbling in south Georgia
Really good advice, Matt. I started using my rangefinder exactly as you describe a few years ago. Confidence and effectiveness went way up. You're right about the missing, too. The last one I missed looked like he was going to leave. He was in range, but I got nervous and shot too soon, before I was sure of my sights. Of course, he was a big 'un, too.
Darnit!!!! Now it's gonna be an even Loooooongggggerrrrrrr wait til season. My first Dale video of the preseason
Great advice!
🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
I can't wait to hear that first gobble of the year!!
Great video
Last year I had to start wearing a heart monitoring watch. I get a tom coming in and my watch starts alarming. Heart rate too high for resting. lol.
Matt hey
GUILTY!!🙋♂️
I’ve screwed up a few times by
Doing Exactly what you said. The
Gobbler acts like he’s seen something and I get nervous he’s leaving and shoot. Definitely need to stop being to Shaken. Love this video Matt
I range the trees also
First one every year has me going wild after that one it's straight stone cold killer but that first one I still freak out lol
Great advice thank you, you describing it in deer terms reminded me of missing my buck this year to a tee… shot too fast had buck fever.
30 yards. Don't shoot past 30 yards and you are good. Shooting a turkey past 40 is not turkey hunting. Period. Past that is not ethical imo.
So you pull out a range finder to sure its not 31 yards because past 30 is unethical. Or are you that good at range finding in the woods to know exactly what 30 yards is.
@Halcyon1861 I haven't killed one past 25 yards in 10 years. I don't hunt fields. I hunt where the birds live. I also haven't killed one past 8 am. in 6 years. You always got a smart ass though. I knew this was coming. Real wise guy!
You always bag your birds before 8?
@@ryanharkins9383 So your experience makes the standard for everyone else. I could say I have killed plenty at 50 and anything past 50 is unethical. Very close minded view of hunting you have. What does time have anything to do with range again? I will tell you how I killed my first tom....I just started hunting for turkey it was 2005. I had a flock work past me early and I was going to leave. I was checking on the edge of the field where the came from, I heard a gobble close. A hawk was diving on a gobbler in the cut corn field just over the slope of ridge in the middle of the field. I dropped all my gear and timed my movement with the wind. I made the shot at about 30 yards. I could say unless you sneak up on a gobbler, you aren't a real turkey hunter...
@andrewbuchanan6483 yea I have never killed a turkey past 8 am
