Don't agree... this is not as intense as original gave. Turn it into metal, definitely i'd prefered a nice death voice and speed up a little. The singer is not bad at all, I don't mean to, this is just my feeling. Awesome musicians btw, nice work on guitar and drums. Keep working.
Cedric Laurens There a lot of different metal. This is not the death metal kind, I'm sure some people are into it, I for one is not one of them. All the better for it that it didn't turn into emo, screamo death metal.
Here's one for the record...
I am a personal friend of a few of the band members. The vocalist and producer also happens to be the producer for my band. I have heard his singing live several times, I have heard tidbits of it in the studio, and I have worked a good few days with him... so let me make this clear;
THERE IS NO AUTO-TUNE. The technique used is called "double layering" as far as I know, which is essentially the vocalist singing the normal melody of the song once, and then another harmonic layer (in this case, a lot of higher registry stuff) to enrich the sound. It is probably used by all of your favorite artists, if only just to "fatten" the sound in the song.
So, I repeat - NO AUTO-TUNE IS BEING USED, I GUARANTEE IT. Vote this up so people can stop bitching.

Gotta be honest, when the vocals started, I kinda felt like they're trying to go for a bit too sensitive and charming direction, but then the chorus came around and fuck me - I'm downright impressed.

I've never really listened to Metal but fuck this was so good, makes me wanna listen to more Metal. Like Damn this was fantastic, I would say this is better than the original except its in two different styles so I dont know how to compare it. The original has more of a dramatic tone and yours just has more of like that badass tone. Either way I loved both and this is just amazinggg

My post was more aimed at the Jonas brother singing, not you matey, I know what the title said, but honestly if you want to learn about metal check out real metal bands like slayer, black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden. Metal is a very broad term that apply s to a vast range of music(there is more range of style within metal, than all the genres outwith combined!). Theres a cracking film called ' metal a headbangers journey' that gives a good overview for noobs, but be warned, to start with a lot of metal can be quite uncomfortable, that's why its better to start with the golden oldies(Judas Pries, Iron Maiden, Sabbath etc), as they are more...melodic and easier to listen to, but metal is like a drug, you just keep chasing the 'harder, harder' dragon till one day you stop yourself listening to Akercocke and realise 'man I listen to some really heavy shit'!...But I digress, for as broad and spacious as the road to hell is, the fag fest in this video is most certainly not included in any sub genre, and never will be(and you can take that to the wank;)

Since you mentioned the 90's, I assume you've grown up around that time or even before, and are now an adult. For a grown-up person, you act very immature and are clearly very shallow-minded. And yes, I only happen to be 14 but am clearly more mentally developed. Simply Google "metal music definition" and you will be presented with the following:

I personally listen to punk-rock and some metal, as I have been exposed to that kind of music from an early age. I dislike Justin Bieber, but you still can not call him pathetic. People who like his music are entitled to their opinion and enjoyment of any given music type is entirely subjective (you clearly can't get that through your fucking head). Be more open minded and calm down a little.
Also, who is "we"? I assume a group of people who like metal. You clearly do not belong in that group due to your narrow thinking and rejection of music foreign to your PERSONAL taste.

When you get to my age you see the music you have loved since, before I was your age, being infiltrated by the one thing we all hated, commercialism. One day you will be where I am, making the same rants about your generations music. And I never said metal is all inclusive, it has always been exclusive, however said exclusivity is in fact very wide and varied. But every metal fan, from death metal to industrial, all know a rat when they smell one. Mixing pop with metal is something quite a few bands tried to do after the turn of the millennium(Doesn't slide of the tongue as smoothly as 80's/90's etc. that one!), and they got seriously arse raped by metal fans for it. And metal fans also take serious objection to their music being misrepresented, mess with the bull your gonna get his big hairy balls sat square on your face....but don't listen to me, im just an old old man(29 actually!)and when I was your age we still had these boxes filled with tape that we carried our music around in(no not an ipod, a cassette!), even the internet wasn't properly established at that time(god it was like the fucking dark ages by comparison). Stealing music took literally a day to download like one song. So you will forgive me for being so, stuck in my ways, but music is dead outside of metal. Its simon cowellised, pre-processed monkey garbage, and its only going to get worse. Metal has to be defended (as does classical music, which metal has always had a close affinity with!).
