Is there a jiu jutsu tornament with ground and pound? In other words strikes only when on ground including throws, slams in order to get to the ground?
I'm sure you already know,but EBI introduced combat jiu jitsu, which allows open hand strikes on the ground. ADCC and some tournaments allow you to slam ppl in guard etc. if they're trying to submit you.
We have a judo practitioner at the school I train at he teaches us some stuff now and again but you are right Jiu jitsu is beautiful I started training it because my ground game was so weak and it's amazing I went from being unable to beat one of my friends in a wrestling match to being able to submit most white belts near my weight in about 4 months submissions on blue belts are still rare only 3 so far but the real lightbulb comes on when you go against someone fresh off the boat when you realize that even though you are a whitebelts your ground game is above what most people can handle and if you combine it with striking and judo god damn you could be unstoppable (unless a knife or gun is involved then you need some krav or fast legs).

lol r u srs? Obviously u don't train. The gi sets up numerous grips, submissions and positions. It's a totally different style of game compared to no-gi bjj
