  • Representative Haley Stevens (D-Michigan) shares her insight on President Biden raising tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, and how this will help American automakers create more electric vehicles within the country. She also talks about the President's upcoming visit to Detroit as polls show he is losing Black votes, and whether or not she believes what the polls are saying. Representative Stevens speaks with Kailey Leinz and Joe Mathieu on Bloomberg's "Balance of Power."

US subsidized tesla with 30 something billion dollar, GM got around 20 something billion dollar, meanwhile top Chinese EV, BYD only got 3 billion subsidy, and you know who else enjoyed Chinese subsidy? Tesla, the american car company, you can also find US brand cars in China but you can't find Chinese car in US, and the US complained about level playing?

Cheaper to make gas powered cars for Americans than subsidizing EV from China or US. Today CO2 is 400 ppm. World does not end if it is higher. In the age of Dinosaurs CO2 was 6000 ppm. Life flourished. Enough vegetation grew to support large populations of huge animals. LIFE DID NOT END!!! Let us compare CO2 below 200 ppm that occured during the Ice Age. Barely enough vegetation grew to support animals and early man. If we push CO2 lower, we will have less crop yield. That means higher prices for food and food scarcity.
