This is the moment it is time to switch to *Terror Zones* - whether solo, or in public games (but ideally you want to run them solo, with other player being elsewhere, e.g. Baal runs). I would use speedrunners' strats for early power-leveling: Catacombs or Jail with champion packs. Depends on the build too, though. That being said, the explanation was very clear. And, no, I never. Holy grail makes more sense to me, than clvl99 grind.
True, the cata or jail strat is there! I was geniuenly surprised that by clearing areas in act 1 and 2, I arrived to Mephisto around lvl 26. So a lot of these strats are needed only if you power through the game. Regarding lvl99 grind - i'm tempted to try it, but not focusing only on it, i know i will get burnt out too quickly without a change.
Annulus removes penalty you receive a hard 10 percent if you get a 10 exp Anni. Works out to double the experience. If you play with buddy also wearing 10exp anni you get an addition double experience.
@@xxxdion It's unfortunate you can dupe items and copy your save on the PS version though, unless it's done online on battlenet the LVL 99 trophies are far less impressive than their Xbox counter parts , going off true trophies and true achievements figures which would be less than the actual totals PS has 17103 people played 60 people with 100% Xbox has 24068 people played 4 people with 100%, I'd say atleast 50-55 of those 60 completions would not be legitimate, and the few people that did it legitimately have no real way of proving it unless they did it online on battlenet, Sony really needs to do more about people cheating to obtain difficult trophies, most people don't care about trophies/achievements but the ones that do shouldn't have their trophy collection be marginally less impressive because Sony can't be bothered taking it seriously.
I wanted to get to 99 for the achievement but no achievement is worth 50-100+ hours lol it’s crazy they have one for a level 99 hardcore character too.. imagine almost hitting 99 and dying after over 50+ hours of grinding lol.. I’m level 37 in my assassin and beat the game for the first time. Looks like my journey will end here because it’s not worth trying to max a character out w these ridiculous numbers.
Well, game begins in Hell difficulty and you can definitely have lots of fun before you hit 95. Yes 99 is a mindless grind and only for those who willingly step on that road :D
You forgot the lvl 25 exp penalty, which everyone well knows when you go on baal runs too early or go into Hell with lvl 1, you literally see that lvl 25 border.
@@KvotheD I saw that later, but it's a kind of new mechanic introduced with the lod expansion. So when they invented ancients, they wanted to make sure, you can't get to hell easily, but when you skip it, you get less than 1%?? Exp. When I lvl my lvl 1 hell char in cows, I takes longer to hit lvl 25 than from 25 to 70 (6-8 runs)

First of all, if you play solo TZ then you can go either of the trapasin (fire or lightning) and then it is a simple set of Shako, Enigma, 2 skill FCR amulet, Spirit Shield, Hoto, Arachnid, War travs, Trang gloves or 20IAS gloves. RIngs based on FCR needs I guess. If you plan high player count TZs - then you are much stronger with dual Mosaic Sin, you are even ok with the same gear, just 2 Mosaic claws instead of Hoto and Spirit. There are probably more nuances, but I haven't played mosaic sin tbh. Test it and try different thing ;)
Why in the Nine Hells do I need level 99? I have level 91 which is more than suitable for gambling and crafting. As for ilvl 95 crafted amulets, I've never seen them in D2R.
Summoner is in my opinion the best necro starter - it can go through entire game easily and can farm any area from the start. For runes you can combine LK (if you have good map offline), Cows and Travincal (if your merc has good damage + summons from previous locations). Start with P1 on Trav and Cows, and the better your merc gets go for P3-P5 cows. Travincal can still be tough on P3, especially for your iron golem to survive, unless you get a big pack of summons with you. Just for MFing - Eldritch, Shenk, Pindle, Pit, AT, City of the Damned, River of Flame, CS, Worldstone keep - in rising order of difficulty to farm :) As you can see, with better gear and merc setup you have around 10 areas to farm in one go, which makes this build very nice to play. Enjoy!

I only play this once in a blue moon from my old lod cd after seeing all the d2r hypes. What's the point of high level when everything vanished when you moved onto other games.
Currently 95 on my sorc online and I just did 62 runs in 3 hours of Baal runs minions+boss in p8... I average about 3min a run... but this only gave me a bar and a half.... I'm wondering if there is something I could do to make it faster? Should I start doing chaos runs instead of baal run like you explain on your video? I currently have a 9% annihilus btw and I'm not running xp shrines. Thanks.
If you have infinity and you are a cold sorc, you can do 2 seal runs in CS while people get TP to Baal throne room and then join them. Minion waves still give decent exp so i wouldn't ignore them completely. From 98 you can run diablo + nihlathak while they are killing minions and join them as soon as you are done. XP shrine is hard to pull when you are on your own. If your group is interested in boosting your exp, than one of them can search for it and give you a TP before you kill diablo.
@@KvotheD @KvotheD Why only two seals CS instead of just popping all seals and kill diablo? I don't have infinity but im still able to make diablo spawn relatively fast in p8 :P Nihlathak seems pretty dangerous... :O
@@MikaelWolf 2 seals provide lots of minions and most exp per time unit for all characters that can pull it untill level 98. If you can do those two seals and then jump to the baal waves - that will be the best. Waiting for diablo and killing him you will likely skip some waves

Hey man, thanks a lot! For the level 92-98 the best way is p8 two seal cs runs. Find a map that has cross like orientation for infector of souls and grand vizir (they will spawn with most minions this way). Start the run got to river of flame, teleport as fast to one of the seals spawn it, kill all mobs and if there are any other packs right there - them too. Then move to the other seal and repeat. Exit the game and start again. If you feel like you lack damage or survivability, you can lower the players difficulty. Get holy freeze merc that also helps
So the best way is 8pp 2 seals (grand vizier+ infector of souls) when leveling 90-98, and 8pp diablo + nihlathak when leveling 98-99 with exp shrine, right?
Im playing frenzy barbarian and im getting my ass whooped on the baal mobs. I'm level 33, i use a mercenary, i shout, battle orders, battle command, battle cry and howl. But i just feel really weak. Any ideas?
Melee in D2R is weak, especially without really good gear. Getting high damage weapon and high life leech is a way to go, but at lvl 33 it is almost impossible. You could try leveling at Eldritch and Pindle and hope for some weapon drop. But usually people would go War Cry for Nightmare and Hell.
Is there anyone who wanna try to get a hardcore character on 99? Im just looking for a few players that wanna play together while its more fun in my opinion and we get more xp
Save normal and NM ancients quest play the game on classic til act 3 or 4 in hell the convert to a lod character saving your normal and NM ancients for last levels.
It depends very much on the build. "Fast" leveling strats are mainly for the best meta builds of each class. Those can deal with him well, but let's say if you go Kick assassin or shape shifting druid - you will likely have difficulties and will need more levels/gear.
With TZs it gets quite manageable, if you can handle Players 8 content then it is about ~50 hours, so you actually see the exp grow and it motivates quite a lot.
See what you die from, maybe you need more res, or more damage reduction, or perhaps chiller gameplay! You can be getting around 20%(or more) in alvl 85
@@KvotheD I get 1% for clear pit, 1% for Tunnels and 3% from chaos + Diablo. Meph and andy give nothing. I have 75 all res, 105 cast rate ,705 orb and 3900 fireball damage, 10dmg reduction, 1100 life. I play very save but on concel enemy sometimes have half screen meele range ( no joke i recorded it many times). I cant get more damage reduction without to lower res or lower +skills. Lower res is no option and less skills make me take longer to kill this magican in chaos, what can be dangerous too. A problem is die in loading screen to. A way Point in ps4 can take 25 seconds. Many magican in flame river are dangerous, baal run are play with death, and melees take 1-4 hits to kill me (these 1 shot kills must be a bug idk). Frozen armor gives enough time to tele away and with frozen Orb not much get near to me anyway .
Oh man, i heard that PS version is so broken. You can try Ancient tunnels - most of the mobs there are slow and you should be fine killing everything with fire ball and Invaders with the Orb.

I'm running a summonmancer on Hardcore, currently at level 90, and just CAN'T go above players 1 cause I die so fast.... any specific hint in this case? It is inpossible to hit 99 in players 1?
Hey Fabio, summoner is not the fastest for 99 race for sure, but with some VERY good gear he is capable. Players 1 to 99 will take you a life and a half :P Eventually you will need Enigma, Infinity (on a merc, for more CE damage), Beast RW in hands (Fanaticism aura; you could start with Hustle Iron Golem), Homunculus as an off-hand and go for 70+ block chance. This with all summons will make you very tanky and hard to die. It is good for CS and WSK farming, but i wouldn't go for Nihlathak with this. Good luck!

Remember using Uber tristam hammer pally necro and power lvl to 90 in an hour. 90-93 another hour than 3 days to get to 99.

Summoner is in my opinion the best necro starter - it can go through entire game easily and can farm any area from the start. U forgot the Uber Bosses and mini Bosses they are lvl 110

that's a great option if you can pull it off. I feel playing classic if you haven't before may be a drag

Yes, it is based on LOD state of game. with 2.4 nothing much changed, perhaps stony tombs are worth mentioning too for early levels.

Oh i believe no one really tried due to absence of a ladder. I saw one guy with a team effort set a new world record, something around 12 days or so

Oh man, i heard that PS version is so broken. You can try Ancient tunnels - most of the mobs there are slow and you should be fine killing everything with fire ball and Invaders with the Orb.

I'm running a summonmancer on Hardcore, currently at level 90, and just CAN'T go above players 1 cause I die so fast.... any specific hint in this case? It is inpossible to hit 99 in players 1?
Hey Fabio, summoner is not the fastest for 99 race for sure, but with some VERY good gear he is capable. Players 1 to 99 will take you a life and a half :P
Eventually you will need Enigma, Infinity (on a merc, for more CE damage), Beast RW in hands (Fanaticism aura; you could start with Hustle Iron Golem), Homunculus as an off-hand and go for 70+ block chance. This with all summons will make you very tanky and hard to die. It is good for CS and WSK farming, but i wouldn't go for Nihlathak with this. Good luck!
