Great vids. I’ve had two navigators and quite literally sailed a few thousand miles in them. Never really had a problem. A few anxious moments sure. But they are proper little ships. Great fun
A few things to note:- Marcus is an absolute legend obviously You two are hilarious, that cardboard scene was fantastic! I'll never own such beautiful vessels as you two, mainly because you keep buying them all.... Nice one 😅
Congratulations, she's a great boat, I used to own her! Bought her from Greg in Cradoc and sailed her for many years with the family. In really windy conditions I would use headsail and mizzen sail alone, very balanced and seaworthy. It has lots of 'Huonville Pine' components (Greg's joke meaning treated pine!). I have some photos of it being constructed somewhere too. The mast was very thick aluminium, was always meaning to go for a lighter option, it had a sliding gunter setup on the main. Cheers, Laurie.
0:19 “Never have too many boats” .. did I hear that right? OMG the dream wife. I’m not a fan of small transoms. I’m glad you bought the Penguin. This the kind of boat is what I was referring to as a small boat within a small boat budget. Lovely … where’s next boat? 4:39 Nice well designed … the perfect boat for Lief Erickson. Well built … beautiful color. 7:08 OMG wife has “that look’. I agree .. Next boat. 8:12 Does that mean you bought this before the Penguin? (I’m a new subscriber. My second video.)
Great question! Probably the SCAMP...even Geoff said he would have preferred crossing the Strait in Sea Dog. She's a tad slower than our other boats, but perhaps a little more capable with the water ballast, self draining cockpit, ease of righting if capsized, lighter (easier to pull up on the beach when the sh!t hits the fan) and perhaps would behave like a cork if in really bad conditions and forced to pull down the sail, lie on the cockpit floor and start praying. Stay Salty!
@@SmallCraftTasmania-ms4sx Perhaps a raid with your Scamp & another boat down to Recherche or up to Freycinet. Missing from this video since you went solo was vids of watching Seadog sailing along, shot from a companion boat. (Better viewing than just from inside the cockpit.)
That got me smiling then it got me laughing so it must have been a good video. Congratulations but crikey how are you gonna keep all these boats in the most amazing condition. Honestly though the Navigator is Welsfords best most versatile boat he ever designed. It was just right and the performance is also unmatched.
Excellent choice! You'll love it.
Thanks Joel
Dude, you have it all. Great patio in the sun, boats, and a wife that says, "can't have too many boats" man what a life you have.
You got that right!

Thanks Dave. I know who you are and have great respect for your adventures and knowledge. Stay Salty!
What a beautiful build. I can't wait to see her rigged and under sail. Congratulations.
thanks mate
Congratulations!! That's a sweet looking ride. 👍

Glad you got it. It was clear she was your boat.
Wow she looks brand new. Great boat.
Nicely done sir and ma’am. That boat is so pristine, I would be scared to take it out. Enjoy guys. J
Thanks Josh. No doubt she won’t be as pristine by the time you next visit. 👍🏾⚓️

Thank you for this video. In case you wouldn't know it, "Deja vu" means "Already seen" (in french).🙂
Indeed. And allow me to add that's actually "déja vu".❤
thank you
Congrats!

Yes!
Hey Matt should you follow in the dinghy Spart's circumnavigation of Tas. which of your fleet would be your choice to go it alone?

Stay tuned! 👍🏾⚓️
