Dude how the hell do you play the Yak-38 in Air RB? I have a terrible time with it! It can't run, can't turn, can't climb and the R-60s eat flares like crazy and everything I face has flares at that BR. Idk if they reduced it's br though
Haven't played War Thunder in a while but from what I remember, the Yak-38's a pretty terrible plane. Your best bet is to avoid people and try and sneak up on them to backstab them with r 60's, and hope they don't notice so they don't flare it
Yak-38 is overpowered unless you see an all aspect slinger It's almost mach 1 goes zoom zoom and has 4x R-60's at 9.3 You don't dogfight in it unless you're safe and 1v1 so you enable VTOL and helicopter them to death A lot of the planes don't have flares too and you see F-86's a lot lol
I'm a bit sad the MICA got removed from the 2000d rmv, it was a justified change, but it means I'll have to wait longer to get a 2 seat fighter mirage, and can't enjoy the sleeker cc422 pod
What? They actually did something nice for the Tornado by buffing PGMs? I did not expect that. I’m guessing they did it as an afterthought in response to the Brimstone rage though. I guess I’ll still main PGMs in ground rb with the Tornado for now, even though I’d love to use the Brimstones. It’s not really practical to use laser guided weapons at top tier due to all the SAMs and the need to maintain laser lock.

The nerfs I read referenced a value called “moment of inertia” which refers to how difficult it would be to rotate the plane on each axis. At low speeds it would make a difference but I think with enough airflow over the control surfaces the only thing it would do is make the aircraft roll a bit less. I don’t think it will impact rate speed very much

in air rb the new mirage 2k D should be at the same br as the old one as there isnt a single upgrade that improve air to air capabilities. That's crazy how F15 has much faster acceleration than Su 27. Su 27 - 16.5 ton F15 - 13.0 ton SU 27 engine power - 11 600kgf F15 - 8 500kgf Su 27 should be little bit faster, but it's much, much slower...
@@Niko_rj you still have to factor weight, drag, and how the F15’s intakes optimize airflow at every speed, and while maneuvering. There is much more to it than looking at a stat card thrust and saying this should have more acceleration because I looked at 2 numbers and not the things that matter
Half the harriers in game by real world design can carry 18 brimstones and much better air to airs, it's a little annoying for gaijin to put so much effort into designing models so detailed and complex gameplay wise but put a harrier at a lower br and just remove it's capabilities for example, harriers are incredibly powerful strike aircraft and in game they just feel like a middle ground, jack of all trades master of none and cant really perform well in many situations. It's mainly role throughout all of its uses were ground attack and close air support and it's being forced to be some ground capable dog fighter? And that's just one of the many vehicles wedged into a corner or generic roles and uses. The harrier hits home because it's one of my personal favourite aircraft. So sorry to rant but I hope I make an understandable point
That’s historically false, you got some things mixed up, there were plans to add the aim 120 and or sidewinders into the internal bay, but it was just an idea and never went into production, so irl it never carried any missiles
@@brodykloster2102 irl pilots and maintenance crew claimed they did fit them into the bay, and they would actually function, while the yak-141 never carried weapons in flight, it never had a gun, never was fitted with any type of radar, and never flew with weapons, so even if the nighthawk getting aim 9's is A historical wat thu der hasn't cared in the past multiplayer times in the past for other nations, since the abrams in war thunder is a historical, with its turret being too high, it missing its proper rounds, the turret ring being far to thin, the hstvl being a medium dart when it's a full size 75cm dart, or the fact the ah-65d longbow doesn't have the hellfire L yet, and that's just a few of the issues rn with historical accuracy

For the Mirage 2000D RMV Gaijin should either: put 8 Magic 2 and put it in 13.0 max
put the MICA IR
or put 2000D-R1 to 12.0 and RMV to 12.3
Mica ir, iris t, aim 9x and such will all some simultaneously as they did with fox 3s

Idk about an increase in power, but the fuel consumption did increase. It’s also just barely more sluggish, you probably won’t notice it

O.o I think you should do the math by hand thrust vs weight vs drag coefficient. You'll find the f 15 is spot on.
For one, the new 229s produce like 10600kgf, and you also have to factor the drag coefficient, airflow, etc
That is wrong lol the F15E/I have the PW-229 which give it 20% more thrust so of course it will have faster speed
