Thank you for another interesting travel vlog. I am disabled and can no longer travel extensively so I look forward to watching your traveling adventures.
Thank you for watching. J has a neurological issue that we have to watch very carefully. Lots of medications and we tend to shy away from heavy exertion!
Long drives were a lot easier than pulling a fifth wheel (5 years ago). First three days were very long, and I did not feel beat up. Managing through city streets and even parking was no problem. At least where we visited on this trip. The van does not fit in a standard parking space, but if you back in to a spot that overhangs a grassy area, then you can make it fit. I made it a point to take videos and pictures of where we parked, and I will show that in future videos.
@@DJTravels Thank you. That's how I feel. We've been towing a 30' Artic Fox TT for almost ten years. It's a lot of work to set up and break camp. Towing over 300 miles a day is getting to be too much now. Wears me down.
Yes! When we had the 5th wheel, setting up and breaking camp was not bad, but enough to make you want to stay extra nights to avoid doing it too much (sometimes a good thing). With this, most nights I would plug in the electric, turn on the propane, and be done with it. We can go 3 days on the fresh water, and a good 5 or 6 on the grey and black tanks. Could go longer on the fresh if we didn't forget to bring the 2 collapsible 5 gallon storage containers we bought! In later videos, we stay at several no hook-up Harvest Hosts, and this rig worked very well. I would still keep it under 250 miles/day or 4 hours if I were doing consecutive travel days. But a 6 - 8 hour drive followed by 2 - 3 days in the same spot is definitely doable.
@@DJTravels caught that on the Pere Marquette river in big Michigan. Cool river that flows into Michigan. First brown trout hatchery in the US. Old stone is on the TN/ GA border. It's sweet and our go to when traveling north/ south
Google suggested this video. You guys seem great and your video had plenty of content, BUT very little context. Example you were driving through that nice town. Good video, not to cheesy background music. It was a very boring sequence. All it needed was a conversation with the viewer or passenger. Like: look at those cute houses, gee I wonder how old there are.ect. You did a clip of we went to Walmart. We'll did you get everything, was it a good store, ect. Your videos are so close to being enjoyable, please add context. Best of luck to you!
I just found you, and I’m liking your honest camping spot reviews
Awesome, thank you!

Enjoyed this first episode. Night one spot was….interesting. Can see why you pulled out early!
Yeah, that almost turned us off Hip Camp altogether. But later we found Nature RV Park on Hip Camp to redeem it!
Safe Travels! Thanks for Sharing.
Thanks 👍 More to come!
Good luck and safe travels. We hope to order one someday . I was curious how it does on long drives and maneuvers in some tight places.

Once again! Great video, beautiful views. Thank you so much for sharing ☺️
Our pleasure!
Michigander here! Welcome to Michigan. Hope you enjoy your adventure. Looking forward to watching your future videos 😀
Thanks so much!! We spent a little over a week in the UP. Loved the lighthouses and waterfalls the most!
Had to FF a bit. I've seen Michigan from the air too many times.
Good to hear from you. Hope you and the family are doing well. In the next couple of videos, we go to places you will probably find more interesting!
You'll like Old Stone State Park for camping upon your next trek North
In Tennessee? We will put that one on our list!! BTW, where was that fish caught in your profile picture??

Make sure to see Munising Bay and Pictured Rocks area as you're travelling the UP
State park campground ( might be Indian Tribe owned and managed) is on the shore of lake Superior in Munising. Sites situated on the beach
Are you still going to Africa?
Yes, we are! Leaving late September
@@DJTravels I'm jealous
