    Hello, this is interesting however I wish there was a full demonstration on how efficiently manage the calendar. Like show us the note book you use, the colors and other needed tool be it through your mobile or computer… etc.

    Congratulations on your first RUclips video! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your information; this was SO helpful. Most of my executives in the past have been self-sufficient and I haven't been in a "true" EA role in over 10 years...so much technology is available now. I'm starting to apply for larger EA positions ($65K/yr+) and calendar management has been one of my biggest concerns as I'm stepping back into the role after such a long hiatus. I appreciate the time you've taken to make these videos for us, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

      @@theexceptionalassistant Thank you. I’ll definitely go into the role with much more confidence after watching your videos. During my follow up interview next week, I’m going to repeat a few of your suggestions from the video on alleviating my executive’s workload (since that’s a current pain point). Thanks for the advice!👍🏽

      @CyMJ Hi there! Fantastic question! All EA skills can be self-taught & many companies today are asking for some basic accounting skills, but YT is full of videos on how to use Quickbooks or similar softwares. Along with getting proficient in Microsoft & Google Suites, learn time & calendar management, expense reports (Concur software), scheduling, travel arrangements & have a genuine attitude of service.❤️ Good luck! You can do this!👍🏽

    • @moniqueyscott
      @moniqueyscott 2 года назад

      @CyMJ My pleasure! I’m here to help. If you can get really good at learning & anticipating your Executive’s needs, you’ll be very successful. Remember, our job is LITERALLY to bring “order” to their lives so that they can focus on their job! If you’re new to the administrative field, look on Indeed & LinkedIn for starter administrative positions that you can possibly grow into and continue to build your skillset. Believe in yourself and learn everything you can! Wishing you the very best, my friend.🤗

      How do you personally go about travel arrangements? Do you go directly to the airline? or is it a good idea to use a travel agent?

    Thank you so much! I've just stepped up my game in managing a MUCH busier executive who hasn't had much direct assistance with a calendar before, and I know how I can be a huge help. How do you A: Convince a manager of this, and get them to step back and let you take over? B: Keep your 1:1's focused on the objectives you've prepared and not allow your executive to steer things off course so that you leave with a while new list and have barely addressed the items on your list?

    Hi - I was wondering if you could help me with this? How can I send the travel ticket details to someone, if I am booking their travel, the travel info comes from a travel agent, and its locked, I know i can unlock it by clicking on the padlock in the calendar, but I want to make sure that it shows up in their calendar if i send it to the executive, so that they know that they have an upcoming trip. Should i just forward it to him after I unlock it? or If i book it without the travel agent, the airline company will send the confirmation email with all the details, how can i send this to him and how can he check online, through the calendar? Also if I am in NYC and booking a trip for someone who is traveling from NYC to France, I try to send the calendar invite, click on time zone, put the departure time (when the flight takes off)in our time zone, and landing time in France time, when I hit send, will that show up as an international time zone on their calendar once they land in France? Thank you so much.

    • @theexceptionalassistant
      @theexceptionalassistant  Год назад +1

      Make it easy for yourself, send on email and yes, start the time in your time zone and the end time in France. It will adjust on their calendar once they are there.

      @@theexceptionalassistant I am so sorry, what do you mean by send on email ? meaning forwarding the email that came from the airline company to him? In that case he will need to add it to his calendar am i right?

      @@LisaMcGinnis-n2x yes forward on email but do you have access to his calendar?

    • @LisaMcGinnis-n2x
      @LisaMcGinnis-n2x Год назад +1

      @@theexceptionalassistant Yes I do have access. I will receive an email confirmation with all the details from the airline company on Monday and most likely he will want me to send it to him or add him as an invitee so that the travel details including an option to check in online show-up and actually block out his calendar throughout the whole trip. I just don't know how to block out his calendar like that? i have received itineraries from travel agents before that was locked since it was coming externally and every time I would send it to him it would show up on his calendar as a "private appointment" since it was locked by a travel agent, and I remember I unlocked the padlock once was on the top right and sent the travel info to the manager before by adding him as an attendee and I remember he accepted the calendar invite and it automatically popped up on his calendar and he was actually able to see the details, but this time I won't be working with the travel agent.
