No Limits 2 | RMC Quetzalcoatlus Track Test (RMC inversion record)

  • While messing around in No Limits 2 I decided to try to make the RMC Pterodactyl track, but, use the modern Intamin double spline instead of the older four-pipe track. I don't know if this version looks better or not but it's still cool. I also named it Quetzalcoatlus track because a Quetzalcoatlus is another dinosaur that looks kinda similar to a Pterodactyl but it's a bit bigger. Here's a link to the Wikipedia page on it: en.wikipedia.o...
    If this coaster was built in real life, it would have the most inversions on any RMC.
    You can download this coaster on steam here:

    If the T-Rex idea never comes together then this would be a interesting concept but the layout would make for a Awesome Small scale Rex or Raptor model as well.

    If RMC ever makes a wing or inverted model, it’s obviously going to be called a pterodactyl.

    I love the idea of an all steel RMC, but personally I think they’d go with a different design without a spine. Because the whole point of the IBox track is to give parks a cheap option to create a new ride, and conserve/reuse materials.
    Nice layout though!

    The only thing I’d say is back row on the first drop would probably pull your legs out your hip joint, other than that it’s pretty cool! I’d suggest going for a non over vertical at this height. If it was taller you could do a very nice, wide over vertical drop pretty well!

    • @Megacat8199
      @Megacat8199  Год назад +9

      Thanks, the drop in the back row would pull -1.5g which is a lot but coasters in real life pull more. I made it vertical so it could pop out on the thumbnail because its more unique.

    The ibox doesn't need a spine. The way it's designed The track can support itself. I think any steel coasters they make will be single rail. Other than the wooden style steel support ones. But I doubt we will get a ground up ride like this. They will all be single.

    • @Megacat8199
      @Megacat8199  Год назад

      Yeah I know, this is just a fun concept to make. (the real reason why I do this is so I don't have to make custom wooden supports and it looks cool on the thumbnail) I probably would've made this a TREX but changing the track type to that probably takes a while.

    • @Megacat8199
      @Megacat8199  Год назад

      Actually originally this ride was a normal ibox with wooden supports but then I realized that I would have to custom make them for the lift hill and for a few of the inversions and that just seemed boring so I didn't do it.

    combining the Ibox track and double spine intimin track seems so unnecessarily expensive. i could see it as some form of special support for an area requiring a very large span with no support but the way you have it built is so unnecessarily over done. the layout you have though is really good.

  • @flightoffearfan
    @flightoffearfan 10 месяцев назад +1

    That has horrible pacing. There's usually a lot more airtime on an RMC. Also, that's not how you make a hybrid. The supports are supposed to be like a wooden coaster, not like a steel coaster.

    • @Megacat8199
      @Megacat8199  10 месяцев назад

      I see that you have missed the point of this ride, its supposed to be a mix between RMC and Intamin because if you look carefully you will notice the that the track is RMCs Ibox track with a Intamin spline. Because of Intimin's center spline, I can use normal steel supports instead of the wooden supports you would normally see on an RMC. I know the pacing is off but that's because its not 100% RMC, maybe next time use logic and your eyes to figure out what type of coaster this might be. And yes, I know I coaster like this isn't realistic but its not meant to be because this is a game and not the real world. Here, go check out this guys channel, he made the original RMC Pterodactyl track (even though this is slightly different) and does it a LOT better than I do: www.youtube.com/@cartcody
