Turn subtitles on for my incoherent ramblings Also magnum still looks red on mobile because phone screens are typically a little bit yellower than pc screens
The addition of MCBR’s to Millie is very interesting. Definitely a rational choice for capacity, but they would require a chain lift or faster catch car to be practical. I worked Millie last summer, and that slow catch car really takes a toll on capacity. Most cycles we could ever send was 29://////
I came here to say the same thing (without the park operation experience or statistics ofc), but you bring up some interesting points. I don't think a chain lift would be too practical for this since it seems like it would take too long to get up before you could send the next train, having like a 30 mph cable lift (if possible) or LSM launch lift could feel wild. Or, there seems to be enough room in the track to support two cable lifts side by side, letting one carry a train while the other returns and latches on.
I am new to this channel but it's cool to go through a park make up or based off a real park and POV all or most of the rides. Well presented as well, some cool costers in there!
Gemini is easily top 5 at CP! I'm glad I saw the comment to "turn on captions", it makes the vid! You should make that a pinned comment, or even in the description, it really makes the vid special and different. Keep having fun out there :)
Generally I can't complain about any of these changes, but I can't say how my time at the point would have been better or worse for them. Keep it going with these park reimaginings, they're quite interesting, and for the record, I'd really like to see your millenium force essay brought to fruition on the channel, it sounds really interesting
If you're dead set on a heartline roll for Maverick I feel like it's possible to just start twisting earlier, just before the turn ends, and end a bit later too. Though tbh I don't think that will add much to the ride, it doesn't need that. The turns give a little breather from the launch and set up anticipation for the stengel dive immediately after, and while I know the launch is nothing to write home about, having that immediately followed by a still pretty tight and forceful heartline roll followed by a stengel dive would be too much for a lot of people.
lmao rotating station on Mr. Thrill's Zumanji is a funny thought; whether you intended it as a joke or not, the only way I've pictured it is with some sliding mini sections of drop tower track that go around the base of the three drops like a carousel that would get boarded and slowly and not surely, queued up for a drop between trains being launched on *THERIDEPREVIOUSLYKNOWNASTOPTHRILLDRAGSTER* I had fun reading your essentially stream of consciousness subs not dubs commentary. I've wanted to do something like this with my own stuff before, but the recording of it all is so time devouring. Corkscrew *serves* a function, and *has* a purpose beyond being the ride you walk past 12 times a visit when checking to see if TTD's entrance no longer has a chain preventing me from experiencing mind altering, addictive, saturated G-Forces? Somehow what I just wrote is a single sentence and not 8? I think a Mack-2-screw-and-2-also-w/-u is semi-reasonable. But if you're adding other family fun coaster experiences like the ones you've showcased here, then I think a Mack or Vekoma Loop-Screw-1-2 tributed custom narrow-plotted ride that isn't of the same scale nor especially family oriented is necessary. I'd love a Mack or Vekoma flavored Farenheit-a-like that maintains the finale screwing and odd geometric transition into the fbr. Just random thoughts and remarks after this point: I'm probably fairly guilty of painting my rides colors schemes that'd bore you, but I do often have the same internal complaint you pointed out about nothing being bravely or interestingly colored anymore or ever. You may appreciate that for the T-REX I'm working on readying for POV-ing, and the last one I completed a few years ago now, both will have been rendered with color shifting (colorized specularity of the the custom TREX objects) Original TREX I did was a dark grey rail with as genuinely near to real appearing copper gleam. Initially started trying t do anything to make the POV more interesting since no track ties = so much less interesting visual information for a viewer. New one I'm working out is a semi desaturated, mid Blue with a specularity effect in sunlight showing off the minty fresh finish I've managed to produce. That having been said, I love Golden StEvE. Makes it appear more special from both on and offride.
I mean cp already needs more family coasters, and I think adding *yet another* bigger, “badder” coaster that the average person can only ride once before getting a migraine is not very conducive to a park with this many coasters, given that so many of them are also huge and intense. If you wanna be able to enjoy everything to its fullest, sometimes that means more family coasters & this corkscrew is already borderline not a family coaster. It’s also important to have a small inverting coaster that’s not intense to act as a friendly introduction to inversions to anyone who might be scared of them. And no i think a rotating station on a drop tower is a crazy cool idea, they’re always such long lines already and i think all rides should be designed to *potentially* maximize throughput. I certainly don’t want to wait in an hour long line for one big drop and that’s it
omg you are not alone with the spider thing at least in the millennium force queue i remember when i went a few years ago there were SO MANY FUCKING SPIDERS in that queue i was scared to move or even get close so it wasn’t just you
So it’s just black supports for walls and then i made little tiny support pieces in another coaster and kept it as a wireframe so they look like they’re glowing
I use nodes! Specifically i use two point curves which i know it’s how intamin and b&m design their coasters, but i used to make them by taking a super long straight track with evenly spaced nodes as a saved element, and then rotating each one individually
@@kristamakescoasterssometim7128 impressive! Your coasters are great ( and your subtitles). How does one do the two point curve thing? Im kinda bad at this software...
@@Celatraso when you have a vertex in between two other vertices, you can double click on the vertex to open its settings, where there’s a box that says “strict” that will put that vertex strictly in between two other vertices and allow you to create sort of a sharp jerk in the track, which is how old arrow & vekoma coasters were designed, but if you put two regular vertices in between every strict one, those two vertices will be the two points of the curve, and allows you to make smooth coasters with smoother transitions btw straight & curved track. It’s how b&m and intamin still design their tracks, and maybe rmc but i’m not sure. I know vekoma uses basically FVD but idk anything about that Don’t be afraid to play around with the settings! Also a strict vertex will mess with the weight of the rest of the vertices so you’d have to commit to it for the whole coaster or REALLY finagle them to smoothly transition which i do sometimes
nah animals should probably not have to deal with the sound of millennium force and forced human touch for 12 hours a day, i'd much rather have a good coaster
Not true, electromagnetic fins work over vertical curves and all that’s required for a block brake is a friction brake somewhere in there. The brakes could also function as a launch once the train is released to prevent it from rolling backwards or valleying.
@@T0x1C-201 i didn’t see much to improve cause the ride’s already so good, but the capacity is nearly doubled by the addition of an extra brake run over the hill
