I started my doubleheader at Wrigley Field to see the Chicago Cubs play the 1st-place Tampa Bay Rays -- and nearly witnessed baseball history. Then I headed over to Guaranteed Rate Field to watch the White Sox face the Los Angeles Angels. How did Shohei Ohtani do? How close did I get to Mike Trout? (VERY!) As it turned out, that hardly mattered compared to the triumphant return of Sox reliever Liam Hendriks -- a cancer survivor, who took the mound in major league game for the first time since last season. Life is bigger than baseball, and that moment captured it.

I brought my 7 year old son to a Twins game Friday night, we used some of your tactics to get a ball. He was super brave and talked to the security guard and ended up getting a game ball that night! It was a memorable night to say the least. Thanks for all the tips!

IDK how you can dislike the guy. As a dad of 2 I can tell you the smile he puts on these kids faces by giving them balls and just acknowledging them makes those dads' days. Some llike to say he runs over people to get to balls, but I have yet to see it. Every time I watch him while yes he is fast and aggressive he never loses control and weaves in and out just fine. I think a lot of people are jelly that the dude is actually like by quite a few staffers and players.

I was at that game too! I was actually the dude who got Mike Trout to sign my baseball by 1st base I'm the guy holding the MLB passport book. I was standing there for about two hours. Wish I could've got your autograph Zack!

I remember that game, they offered me a Sox hat to move from my seat for the TEAMLIAM sign. I didn’t want the hat, but a kid behind me asked the guy for a hat and he said no, so I said give the kid my hat or I’m not moving and your sign will read TAMLIAM! He gave the kid the hat.
I went to Wriggley Field last year and it was an amazing experience.

In September of 2022, I did the TWO ballparks in ONE day thing. Went to Angels Stadium for an early afternoon game, then went to Dodger Stadium for a Sunday Night Baseball game. Both ballparks were absolutely great experiences for me being my first time at either one.

Also, I remember you double-checked with me (since I know everything about you) if you’ve ever done both Chicago stadiums in one day and the answer was no at the time, so I’m glad you got to do it in another city. Now the combos you’ve done are Shea- Old Yankee, Citi-New Yankee, Oakland-SF, Baltimore-DC, Chicago-Milwaukee(honorable mention), Anaheim-LA, and Wrigley-Guaranteed Rate.

Zack I really think you should do three stadiums in one day: Wrigley (Chicago Cubs), Guaranteed Rate (Chicago White Sox) and this one place disguised as Miller Park under the name “American Family Field” (Milwaukee Brewers). It’s doable.

Yessssssir Zack. Im a little ticked off cuz I went to the Yankee dodger game on Sunday and knew the chances were gonna be slim cuz it was a sold out crowd. The stands became full right when the gates opened and BP was wild. Came close to a foul ball hit by Freddie freeman in the second deck, but there were these two ladies in front of me that I would’ve had to push through. But overall a super cool experience. Aww man, yeah, I avoid packed games because it's so frustrating for me as a collector, but good choice (obviously) not to push for that ball.
I also went to both these games while on vacation in Chicago. I'm a Rays fan and rooted for the White Sox during their game but had still a blast despite the outcomes lol

It can't be done, but it's a cool thought to me at least of attending a day game on EST, a midday game in CST, and then a night game on PST, going back in the timezones like that would be trippy but obviously you would need quick 2hr 10 min games and a private super plane.

Chicago traffic is a pain. It would be great if you could just take public transportation from one ballpark to the other...oh wait! You can! Pick up the redline at Addison right outside of Wrigley and get off right at Guaranteed Rate Field. :) Seriously, though, awesome to be able to pull a double-header between both parks!

Wrigley is my sanctuary! been going as a kid riding the CTA Redline from the Morris station and now i drive down to the Skokie Swift, a place with many memories for a lot of people, I can't wait to CATCH you at a game, sry for the bad pun .....I'm a dad 😅 Go Cubs!

Hey Zack great video. Got a couple questions for you. When did the white Sox change the name of their field to Guaranteed Rate field? Also did you ever get the Hubert H. Humphrey dome before the Minnesota Twins changed their home to Target Field?
I forget but it's been several years, and yeah, I went to the Metrodome in 1999 (and snagged my 1,500th ball there).
