Hobi has like a singing rap voice and it’s kind of gritty(?) and then jk has a really soft angelic voice but he can also do the gritty thing too and together it’s just WHOA

I love it when Jungkook sings beside Yoongi's rapping, it's such a nice juxtaposition of Kookie's honey vocals and Suga's gravelly rap

do you know where that video came from?
I think one of the reasons why JK is the main vocalist of BTS is because of this. All vocals have good voice but his ability to blend requires sharp ears to those adlibs without overpowering the other.
Also, you'll often find his name in the credits of their songs, in a position none of the other members seem to occupy -
"chorus"... (the other members usually take "synthesizers", "songwriting", "composition", "production" "mixing" etc, not to say jk hasn't had some of these as well). "Chorus" is a position which implies JK has basically used his voice as an instrument, the way a bassist or drums or keyboards would be credited... His vocal instrument is used to create and fill out the track.

I don't know the vocal terms well but i think range of his voice in notes is scary. I mean he can go too low then go up like instant changes. I think staying in high pitch is hard for singers but going low to up and go low again is even harder. I listened every song of them and he really has a good voice and a really good control over it. ♥ Taehyung once said I believe he has the best voice in Korea and I agreed and upgreade it to one of the bests in the world ♥

I’m in choir so I could help with the vocal terms! Um this is my opinion but I could be right! Kookie can go low and high which means he could be a soprano 2 meaning you sing alto (low) or soprano (high) but for men it’s different so he could be a tenor (higher than a baritone which is low, so V is a baritone) Kookie is prolly a high tenor or high alto, he uses his a mix of his chest and head voice a lot meaning he goes high and low a lot so it can’t be fully head voice or chest voice which he always does. I hope u could understand this and Kookie literally is one of the greatest vocalist I’ve heard personally!🥺🥰
I think what you're talking about is called switching registers. Registers is like chest voice, mixed, head voice etc (there are 6 total also including vocal fry, falsetto, and whistle). The most common registers being switched between in pop are typically head and mixed voice. It is quite difficult to do that as it requires a lot of control over your voice and emotion too in a way since getting nervous can lead to your voice getting more stuck in a higher voice/head voice as our voices tend to raise when we're nervous.
I've been practicing singing for about 4 years now and I still sometimes have trouble with that, especially since I used to naturally sing in head voice all the time before I knew about registers. With switching registers, you also have to be careful to not push too much because people can hear _everything_ in your voice, but it's hard cause it takes a lot of mental effort to keep switching, do it quickly, and make it sound effortless.
Jimin's vocal range is higher than Jungkook!
That's even scary cuz they both together could sing any note they want!!

JK has perfect pitch so he knows exactly what note to pick out to harmonize instantaneously. He also uses counterpoint harmony, which is the HARDEST to do, and modulates his voice volume perfectly to whomever he chooses to harmonize with. He is a musical genius.
jungkook can literally harmonize with anyone and he can make them sound beautiful even if they sing like a dying cow because he’s just _that_ talented.

All BTS songs has Jungkook backup vocals, harmonizing and adlibs, making their songs so beautiful and powerful. As a main vocalist, his workload is highest and not all his efforts given full credit. Yet there are many complaining he gets more lines in some songs. Todate, he is the only vocalist with no solo work under his name and not even a solo mv despite known as best main vocalist. He deserves a lot more instead of being suppressed.
