Man, I have a question regarding wheels, I’m a huge fan of xxr and cosmis racing wheels. I have a 2018 golf R, now I buddy tells me my car it’s to much to be putting a wheel like xxr on it. When to me it’s just a wheel? Is he right, will the community flame me for putting XXR on a mk7.5 golf R? Because I love the design of those wheels and they are light weight and cost effective. I don’t want to go to the euro meet in ATL in March and get flamed over wheel choice...what’s your opinion bro? What would you do. I need wheels so I have to do something.

Cosmis stuff is legit. XXR stuff is fine for most people I've met, if you are into the whole "brands" thing then some people think XXR's are a cheap way out. Personally a cost effective wheel that is lighter than stock is a no brainer, especially if you like it. From my experience I wouldn't feel bad at all putting XXR's on my car(s). Plus they perform well for what they are. Don't expect to slam one into a curb and have it survive to be completely 'true' after the fact, although I think this is a pretty obvious assumption.

Yeah XXR no go. If you can afford a Golf R then you shouldn’t be a cheap …. and actually invest into your car. Y’all gotta stop telling people “your car and you do you” no that’s how literally rice buckets are made. I can guarantee you that any enthusiast will grill you for having cheapest wheels that have zero to non quality. If you’re one of those that buys cheap fake stuff for your car please sell your R and get a Hyundai or Kia.
