i remember "Act Naturally" on the jukebox where my Mom waitressed when i was 9 or 10 years old ... then i heard the Carnegie Hall album when i was 13. that was my intro to C&W. i added KEEN 1390 to my choice of stations i listened to. my friends gave me a lot of grief for that but i still liked C&W. it's my favorite kind of music along with Blues and Memphis / Muscle Shoals Soul.
I grew up listening to Buck Owens. Watched his Buck Owens and the Buckaroos show every Sat. and on Hee Haw. Although I never personally met the man, I'm totally convinced with his personality he projected that he musta been a real pleasure to be around in real life. He was also, and still is my most favorite country western music artist of all time. R.I.P. Buck... I'm looking forward to hearing your music in the afterlife.

For years a car load of friends would take me 3 hours down Hwy 99 for my Birthday. We would eat Liver and Onions and depending on the fog we would drive back to Elverta laughing and singing all the way...saw so many great artists. And all the suits on display in the hallways. So much fun on the Streets of Bakersfield.

I said hi Mr. Owens l am putting mail in the post office for my husband. His white haired body guard was with him and know one else was in the post office that afternoon. I was flattered to say the least.
No sunglasses on stage. Not good. The rest of his band sloppy dress code. Optics dreadful.seems all too common.... Sloppy. T shirts the dead give away. Optics are so important. These guys look sooooo uninspiring insipid underwhelming the music is💥🎶💖🎻🎸❤️ fabulous
