Lara's microphone sound was at maximum (it resonated..) and Johnny's was lower.. It was Johnny who asked for it to be done like that. Lara was his guest at the Stade de France and he wanted her to demonstrate her vocal power and shine. Lara herself confirmed it. Johnny in all his generosity... Know that Johnny was a vocal power too but on this last interpretation he did not want because it was done on purpose, Johnny was very intelligent in doing that to make the song more dramatic and show their acting on this magnificent song that belongs to him. The desired goal was the dramatic side of the singing all in power but less than Lara (Johnny) with at the same time next to him a more striking singing power (Lara) and the passionate play between the two. Everything was imagined by Johnny himself to end the last interpretation in style. A masterpiece, perhaps the most beautiful duet in the world.🎉💫💥

Johnny had invited lara to sing in duo one of his songs at his concert at Stade de France in Paris, in front of 90 000 fans of him.
Johnny could have easilly got over her voice, but by courtesy, he lowered his voice in order to put her in evidence, which was his goal.
She was very stressed that rainy night, to sing with Johnny -a superstar in France-in front of his public.
She said later she was so stressed to sing in front of his public that she clanged on him to feel more secure in front of what she called his "very exigeant public". That's what she felt, but his public has in fact always been very indulgent with the other artists. Even Johnny, even though he was a superstar, was in reality a very humble person, but everybody was impressed by him. At his funerals, they were millions of fans and hundreds of harley bikers.

the concert was in a football stadium "stade de france", stadium of france. so outside. so real. so fun fact is that the day before this concert, the first concert on three (it's was a serie of concert, for example monday tuesday wednesday), it's was raining a lot, really a lot a lot a lot, and so it should be to dangerous for johnny hallyday, and musicians, and technicians, et fans probably, to play and say "fuck the rain"
the day of the concert on this video, it's was raining at the beginning of the concert. Johnny Hallyday, as we know him, say "fuck the rain" and played the all concert, and of course the concert of the next day. the second fun fact, is that the final song is "allumer le feu". translation: "light the fire" or "start the fire" x)

@@jeanluke39 yes, usually people keep their own accents even if they live in the "new" place for the rest of their lives. I think she is able to adopt the Quebec accent because she speaks so many languages and therefore has an ear for languages but also because she's so musical and can therefore hear the nuances, the cadences, the rhythms and the musicality of different accents. I think it's beautiful that she so fully immersed herself.

Well done for this excellent reaction !!! Lara has often said that this performance boosted her career in France and in Europe. As you seem to know her well, I hope you will react to other of her songs: I am not making the list for you, it would be too long : 30 years of career, 15 albums and many concerts. Yes, it's a shame the Americans haven't discovered it before, but thanks to you and many RUclipsrs, it finally has this well-deserved recognition.Thank you for her

Lol. In some ways, with so many people starting RUclips reaction channels due to the Pandemic and so many now discovering her which in turn has many of their viewers discovering her, the whole Quarantine process over the last 2 years has been good for her exposure, especially in the English speaking world. Sadly that includes much of English Canada which has kind of forgotten her after the couple of years around 2000 where she did get quite a lot of radio play.
I just hope that her many new fans will actually go and purchase her music and support her. And I also really hope that she is aware that she has touched so many new hearts during this very tough time.

We’re seeing it through a close-up lens, but they’re singing all the way to the “cheap seats.” True also of how intimate they look through the camera; from a distance, in the rain, they engaged 80,000 people in their struggle and pain. That was a very rare experience, it seems to me.

Hi. i'm a fan of Lara and there is another french singer i really love. maybe you can add her in your reaction list. her name is Mylène Farmer ( pronunciation is like "me" "len" ). you can choose any of her live song because he shows are always absolutely amazing. but maybe you can start with an intro + first song of one of her show. because if you take in middle of show you can get on a very emotional song and i prefer you keep emotional for later reactions ^^. here is 2009 live intro in Paris Stade de France ( 80000 people ). it was her 48th birthday : ruclips.net/video/6oxAAQ4Lhl4/видео.html

SHE, SHE NOTHING that SHE.... She has a beautiful voice and performs her songs from the depths of herself, probably better than Celine DION or this trendy DIMASH at home)
BUT, SHE I'VE ALREADY HEARD HIM PERFORM THIS SONG SOLO, I REMEMBER ONLY THE DREARY PLATITUDE!!!!!!!
You don't like the voice of JOHNNY, your free choice. I should point out, however, that this song is one of the classic SES that he usually performs alone or in front of a male singer who has voice. AND this OLD Johnny dared to perform live again at BRUSSELS in 2016 ruclips.net/video/1WVKr_i0Cyg/видео.html

Hi! Thank you very much for watching the video and such an extensive feedback!
That is unfortunate if it comes out as I didn't not like Johnny's voice, because that would be very far from the truth. I loved his emotional and passionate performance and his powerful, manly, rusty voice. Just the fact that he stood alongside such a power house as Lara and how well they complimented each other is incredible! I pointed out that he was singing a lot more in a speech manner, but it doesn't have a negative angle to it and I think that is in a big way what made the duet so strong. The contrasts and power that they both have. Can only imagine to experience it live!
